It had been roughly one Anteian year since Andrelious J. Inahj had been appointed Rollmaster of the Shadow Clan. In that time, Arcona’s journeymen had grown in number and in power. No less than twenty-six had been elevated to or beyond the coveted rank of Dark Jedi Knight.
Both the first and the last held personal significance to Andrelious; Incendus had been the first, Andrelious’ own apprentice. The last was Kookimarissia Mimosa.
Ah, my darling Kooki. How glad I was to welcome you to the ranks of the Knights. Andrelious thought to himself as he began to write his report.
I'd like to start this off by congratulating each of our twenty-six Dark Jedi Knights, as well as thanking their masters and the house and clan summits for helping them out. Some of our Knights have even advanced further, into the Equites. The dates listed are for the day that the member ascended to Knighthood.
Of particularly impressive note is the number of Arconans who managed to bring their own apprentice to Knighthood only weeks after achieving it themselves.
Good work, Arconans!
In this section we are going to highlight either an upcoming Journeyman, or a recently Knighted one in hopes of sharing insight into the process Arconans go through.
My highlight for this report is Condar Sovar. He obtain the rank of Dark Jedi Knight in an amazing eleven days, despite the relative newness of the current requirements. In addition to this, he has also updated over a dozen Arconan Wiki pages, including lenghty updates to the articles relating to Arcona's history, which needed some serious work.
And if all that wasn't enough, Condar, despite being a new Knight, is already mastering Gevaar and has helped steer him to the rank of Jedi Hunter! Great work, Condar!
Q. How did you find out about the DB?
A. I was an old timer from the Emperor's Hammer back in the late 90s and Early 2000s. I recently got interested in the club again to see where they were, but luckily I found the DB instead and here I am.
Q. Were the e-mails your recieved helpful with helping you get started?
A. Yes, they were very helpful. They were well thought out and gave me alot of good information as well as links to the various places that I could join in an activity.
Q. Did you feel like things were ever moving too fast? Like there was too much being thrown at you at once?
A. Ah, on my fifth day here I did feel a little bit overwhelmed, but I believe that mostly had to do with my master proding me to do all my tasks kind of at the same time. After that one brief period I got used to the pace I was going at and decied to just give it my all. I think the pace is currently very good, and I'm glad there are alot of different activites to do since you don't burn out on doing just the same thing over and over.
Q. Did you feel pressured to rush through the Journeyman Trials, or did you push forward on your own motivation?
A. For a brief bit there I felt a tiny bit pressured. But then something just went off inside me and I wanted to push forward, and get there as fast as I could. I guess the prodding woke up the competitor in me.
"I became more motivated to make it as I completed each individual task. It was kind of a rush, and the summit of Arcona did everything in their power to help me every step of the way."
Q. Was there ever a point where you felt held back or demotivated to try and keep working towards DJK?
A. No, in fact just the opposite. I became more motivated to make it as I completed each individual task. It was kind of a rush, and the summit of Arcona did everything in their power to help me every step of the way.
Q. What do you like most about Arcona so far?
A. That's easy. The people. As soon as I can onto IRC not only were they welcoming, but I could easily see that this group fit well together. I can only say that I was damn lucky to get placed in this Clan.
Q. What advice do you have for new members going through their trials?
You don't have to rush through the trials. Take some time to do a little bit of everything this club has to offer and see what you would like to do primarily. This is a great Clan, with a tonne of awesome people. Every one of them is more than happy to help you out. And if you have any questions feel free to ask, we were all Novices at one point, no question is too small.
