The corridors in the main Arcona base on Selen were unusually crowded. Scores of Arconan Dark Jedi were heading for the Great Hall with somewhat apprehensive looks on their faces. Their new Consul, JaM3z, had sent out a top priority message to every member of Arcona, telling them to assemble in the Great Hall at once. Nearly everyone was wondering what kind of message could be so important that JaM3z had sent out a Code Black call to the entire Clan.

After everyone on the base had gathered in the central Hall, the shadows behind the throne stirred, and Consul JaM3z Lucius Entar Arconae materialized, while coming out of the shadows. After he had seated himself on the Consul’s Throne and had waited for the noise from the crowd to decrease, he began to speak, his loud voice clearly audible for anyone in the Hall.

“My dark Brethren, greetings. I wish to announce something this day, and as the Code Black call I sent out indicates, this matter is indeed of the utmost importance to our Clan. I will try to make it brief, however. We are all busy with our preparations and first missions of the Great Jedi War, and I know how much time and effort that can take.

“Now, as I am sure all of you are aware, there has been a large gap in Arcona ever since I took up the position of Consul after Lord Mejas decided to retreat, and dwell further upon the Dark Side. You are also undoubtedly aware that I opened applications for the position of Proconsul, the gap in Arcona’s leadership. Now, the time has finally come to announce my new right-hand man and chief advisor.

“The process of choosing was far more difficult than I had imagined, and probably even more difficult than any of you could imagine. Many hours I spent trying to find an answer to the question who would be best suited as Proconsul. In the end, the choice had to be made between two applicants in particular. Both had sent in excellent applications, both had performed truly outstanding services to the Clan, and both managed to convince me of their capabilities very well. In the end, though, the choice, however hard, had to be made. So without any further ado, I hereby appoint………… Krath Archpriest Strategos Thanatos Entar as the next Proconsul of Clan Arcona! Strategos, please take your new place at my side. I have the utmost confidence that you’ll make an excellent Proconsul.”

After that, the Consul dismissed the other Clan members, and called a Summit meeting in his private chambers, while the remnant of Arcona’s members were still discussing the recently made appointment.
