Hopefully, it may soon be a reality. I'm currently pricing servers out, and myself and a few other prestigous members of the DB are discussing the possibility of going in on a server as a joint venture. The likelihood is that we will be doing this, but if anyone else would like to donate regularly, email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses], or just look for me on IRC, under the nick Bloodfyre.
To the Sith Order, I especially hope to see all of you getting out, and getting into the game ASAP. "Isn't it a First Person Shooter?" It's that, and a lot more. This game also has the option to use vehicles, team tactics, strategy, and it's badass. We want as much of the DB getting into this game as possible, but let's rise up as the Sith Order, and dominate this one, guys. Look for more updates on a server soon.

Along the same lines...I think we need to look into a Ventrilo server. I am able to serve from work...but its west coast..and I think that might cause some stresses and load problems (have 1.5mbps connection) I think an east coast would be more "centrally located" since we have more members in europe than in Asia.
About Sith involvement. I see this as a great oportunity for the Sith to rise once again. It seems as though the GJW was more focused on writings and what not. I am not sore in any way...just saying that this opens an oportunity to involve the WHOLE DB again. Sounds great....Thanks for your work. I look forward to this gaming oportunity.
Well how much does a server cost, Maybe I can help out with some of the mullah.
It just depends. I don't want to put costs up here, because I don't want to have people discouraged, or thinking I want a set amount of money from each people. As it is, myself, and my associates in this endeavor, will likely have sufficient funds for a decent server, that should be good for most people. If we have people donating regularly, we can afford more. SO it's not that I'm looking for so much quantity, but more along the lines of people donating regularly, if possible.
The server option we're looking into is one on a dedicated server, which can support multiple games, and can be switched between the games as needed. A more costly option (which isn't likely now), would be a better dedicated box, which could run multiple games at once. However, unless we have a good number of people to support the cost, we're just looking to get a good server, capable of supporting our server-based games.
