Netscape/Mozilla Search Plugin

<script>function addEngine(name,ext,cat) { if ((typeof window.sidebar == "object") && (typeof window.sidebar.addSearchEngine == "function"))
{ window.sidebar.addSearchEngine( "http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/mozilla-search/"+name+".src", "http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/mozilla-search/"+name+"."+ext, name, cat ); } else
{ alert("Netscape 6 or Mozilla is needed to install a sherlock plugin"); }}</script>For Netscape 6+ and Mozilla (Firefox) users, I've created a search plugin that allows to go to a dossier directly when entering a dossier number in the search box. (kinda like having that box you can see on the upper-right available at all times)

Unfortunately, this doesn't work with IE, but I thought i'd share it with you all.

When getting positive responses, I might extend the search function to search for dossier names, IRC nicks and stuff like that as well.

Hrmm... how exactly does this work? I get the little box and press OK, and then nothing happens.

It'll give you an extra search option. In Firefox, it's in the box on the top right (click the icon with the "G" thing, then click DJB Dossier). For Netscape, it should be somewhere in the sidebar. Now when you type a dossier number in that box and press enter, you should be taken to the dossier directly.

Aha.... wooow! That's so cool! Consider this positive feedback, please, and extend it to include dossier names and stuff as well please ^_^
