Applications for OHC being accepted. UPDATED

Hello all,

I would first just like to say a word of thanks to Shaithis. He stepped into a hard role as Order Leader and in my opinion, did a gret job in helping to further the interests of the Obelisk order. I've known Shai for a while now, and he is a great guy. Taldryan is lucky to have him as a member.

With his retirement from OHC, we are in need of a replacement. Mav and I will be taking applications until Tuesday, January 18th at 11:59 PM EST. Please include in your applications the following:

A brief synopsis of your DB career
A personal statment of what you wish to achieve personaly within the DB
Personal reasons for wanting OHC
A list of issues that you see need attention in the Obelisk Order
Ideas for solutions to those issues and any other potential ideas you may have
A statement about your ability to commit time to the DB (ie -- what RL stuff would hold you back)

UPDATE

Yes, this is open to anyone from any order....but you do need to play the obeliskesque games and be willing to switch to obelisk when you are appointed.

Hmmm....can a Krath apply for Obelisk High Commander. Gee, I'd venture to think that the title of the job should be enough to tell you the answer...

Well, if you want to get technical, I'm a Krath as SHW, or an Obelisk as SHW. However, I was Sith at the time I applied. I believe anyone can apply, so long as you're an Obelisk at the time you're accepted. Which would mean, if you get the position, yes, you have to go Obelisk.

Of course, whether the Obelisk choose to accept someone who "isn't Obelisk," that's another story. However, no good leader should be left out, because of their Order. Ability is prerequisite.

The sith accepted someone who's Krath. At least in most of our minds you'll always stay Krath despite the name :o)

I see nothing wrong with a krath or sith applying for OHC so long as they know what they are doing and truly have the obelisk orders well being in mind. Since we did away with the barriers that have been blocking the orders from truly working together, it only makes sense that they accept leaders from each order to take positions so long as they are worthy enough.

Heh, this reminds me of when Khobai got OHC. He was Krath when he was appointed, and I don't remember anyone complaining about that..

Actually Khobai was an Obelisk at the time he applied for OHC.
