Greetings,
It's a sad day when a long-time veteran of the Dark COuncil steps down, especially one who has added so much to our club as Corran. If you didn't know, Corran Force is the main reason why we exist separate from the EH today. CoFo was hosting the website at the time of the split and he brought it with us. This enabled us to cripple the EHDB while taking our members and going. If not for CoFo we would have no database, no website, no club. So what do you say to a person that has given so much to us? Here and now we can only say our thanks, wish him the best with his child and be thankful for his continued presence in the club.
As a parting gift, I want to complete Corran's collection of the main sacramental awards by giving him a Ruby Scepter. This award is in honor of his three years of service, his constant activity, and for just being a damn good member.
CoFo -- we'll miss you on the DC. Thank you for everything.
With his parting, CoFo leaves open what is arguably one of the most important positions in the DB. The Master At Arms is the central regulating authority for everything that we do. Roster Maintenance, Promotions, Medals and Competitions are the MAA's forte, and it involves quite a lot of tedious and diligent work. We are accepting applications for the new MAA, but please use the following guidelines in making your application.
Application Requirements for Master At Arms
All Applicants...
- must be a member of good standing SW/KP/OT or higher
- must have the ability to check the website 2-3 times a day at different intervals for processing requests
- must be able to distance themselves from any and all clan loyalty
- must have a thorough knowledge of the competition/medal/promotion system currently used
- MUST BE OPEN TO CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM/CONSTANT BITCHING ABOUT THEM
- must be a hard ass for rules
- must have email response time of 12 hours or less on a regular basis
Note that I capitalized the most important part of that. There has never been an MAA that hasn't pissed off virtually everyone around them in some way. Everyone bitches about the MAA for something, and you need a strong skin to withstand it.
Please include the following in your application:
- Synopsis of your DB career
- A discussion showing that you are ok with the above points
- Discussion of the current system and problems you see with it
- Ideas for changes to the system
Please note that I am going to be hard on the MAA to get things right. You will need to be able to work with me, take my suggestions and go with them.
So, if you're interested, send applications to Mav and me. We won't be accepting applications past Monday at 11:59 PM EST.
Again -- thanks, CoFo.

I'd like to NOT apply for that position... Looks like whomever takes it will need a lot of alcohol... ;)
Good luck to all the applicants!
I always said, most boring job ever, but that seems to have changed a bit :o)
Meh, no bitching at CoFo anymore! But he got an RS, yay! I somehow have the feeling he'll think that better than constant complaints :c)
gets ready to bitch at the next MAA
For the record I cannot recall a time when I did bitch at/about CoFo. I have always been patient with him, and he has always been patient with me.
It has been a great run, CoFo.
More comments in my report tonight.
Yep Kaine. I hope you keep going as HRLD. :-) Its been from being MAA.
