Greetings everyone,
A year ago today, Rekio Corsair Tarentae stepped in to replace Sith Bloodfyre as Tarentum Consul. He had some big shoes to fill, and I think that in the course of the year he has done a great job filling them. Rekio has kept Tarentum at a level of activity that is hard to match, has led them to many successful competition placements, and has helped train a new generation of members that will be able to follow in his footsteps. Rekio has done a great job, and for that we thank him.
Finding who will step into Rekio's shoes was not hard. We only had to look as far as Proconsul Anshar to find the replacement. Anshar has been serving as Tarentum Proconsul and KCB for some time and will finally have a chance to show off what he can do at the Consul position. I have full faith in Anshar's leadership abilities. He will be an excellent Consul.
Rekio -- thank you for all your work, and congratulations on reaching one year!
Anshar -- congrats on Consul!

I have to add my own congratulations, as well. When it came time to step down as Consul, I had a hard time with that. I really enjoyed being Tarentum's Consul, I really enjoyed being there for the members, and there were several times when I was convinced I was going to turn Jac down to be SHW, and stay in the Clan. One of the reasons I didn't, why I felt comfortable stepping down was because Rekio was succeeding me.
There's times when Rekio has stumbled, or had rough periods in life, and things weren't easy on him, but that happens to all of us. Rekio had a good Proconsul in Telona, and another good Proconsul in Anshar. I remember when Anshar cam to us from Arcona; I knew that there was a future Consul in him even before he'd become Quaestor of Gladius.
I offer my sincere thanks to Rekio as both SHW, and as a representative of the Tarentae. He's done a good job, and his efforts are commendable. I offer Anshar congratulations, as well, because he's just stepped into the job that I think is the best in the Brotherhood. There's nothing quite like being the Consul of a Clan, and it'll be as rewarding for him as I'm sure it was for both myself and Rekio.
Congratulations again, guys.
Rekio, you were both a mentor, a friend and one we all can look up to.
Good luck on your further path trough the Dark Brotherhood and Congratulations for beeing a fine leader and was able to show it.
Anshar, I dont know you so well as others, but the times I spoke to
you gave me a short vision of your leadership capacities, and I trust
Rekio and the other Tarentae in their Judgement that you are truly
Consul Material. Make us youngsters proud to be in Tarentum ;)
