Standing in front of a somewhat larger audience than the usual Dark Brotherhood Meeting, Adept Entar ran his eyes over the dark jedi present. Jac, Firefox, Strategos, Kaiann... Even Cyris and Mejas had taken the time to divert from their quests into the unknown and had come to listen. James inhaled deeply, taking his time, and finally began to speak.

"Members of the Brotherhood, welcome." He shifted his gaze upwards for a moment, searching for the right words, and continued.

"Friends, brethren. As you all might know, I have held the position of Lord Archon for over a year now, and have been the Seneschal's Praetor for even more time before that, always caring for the well-being of the holonet and the Dark Hall's mainframes. As you also know, I have always strived for nothing short of perfection in my service to the Brotherhood.

This has not always been easy, and it is becoming more challenging every day. Regrettably, because of this, I feel I can no longer serve the Brotherhood adequately in the position of Council Member. I hope I will be able to return to full duty in the future, but for now, I will retire to my estate on Gethsemane in the Dajorra System.

I wish to thank everyone who has made my stay on the Council possible and has made it as pleasant as it has been. You, my brethren, I can truly count among my friends. Again, I might return soon, but for now, I will say goodbye."

After that, the Krath turned around and descended from the podium, leaving the room and its occupants in stunned silence.

OOC: Real life's become more and more pressing as of late, giving me less and less time to spend on the DB. This is forcing me to resign from my position as Lord Archon. I don’t know what will happen with the position in the future, but I'm sure Jac will post an announcement about that very soon.

Cybey walked through the corridors of the Dark Hall, knowing that it would be the last time for quite a while. He knew as well that he was pretty late for the meeting. Ah well... Why stop with some good old habits only because he had something to announce? As the Adept approached the doors of the meeting room, he heard James. Apparently they already started the meeting without him. "A bit strange they let James make his announcement before I got to," the Seneschal thought. "Especially in this case!"

The Seneschal opened the doors slowly and tried to not draw too much attention. He sneaked up the podium and took place on the empty seat set up behind where James was speaking. The Seneschal gave the Lord Archon a little nod.

As the adept took place on the seat he thought of the time he had been Seneschal. All the good and bad memories came back. There wasn't much time to think. He noticed how his assistant finished his speech and walked out of the room.

"Show time!" the Seneschal whispered to himself. he walked to the front of the podium, took off his hood and glazed at everybody present.

"Fellow Dark Council members, friends and brethren. I came to the realisation that I currently am the longest standing Dark Council member. I've been the Seneschal of the Brotherhood for several years now. In that time I've helped the Brotherhood grow to something bigger than it has ever been before. As some of you might know it's taking more time every day to keep everything clean. So much time that I can no longer find the time to start on new projects and also keep enough time to lay around.

Because of this I feel that it's time to let somebody else take this difficult task. I will retire for now and return to my home clan Arcona where I will stay until I know what I want to do next. I hope that I will be able to return to active duty later on.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me in all my years in the Brotherhood. I'm going to pass on the torch and let some new blood into the Dark Council. I'm going to say goodbye for now!"

After those last words, he put his hood back on and slowly walked towards the exit of the room. He walked towards the hanger and got into the shuttle he prepared. When he got in, he noticed James was already there. In the corner, he also noticed Jac's booze-minifridge he took from the Grandmaster's office earlier.

"Ready to take off?" James asked.
The former-Seneschal nodded.

OOC: Because of my RL I can't find the time to be active in the Dark Brotherhood. I'm resigning from my Seneschal position, because I think somebody else might have more time to work on the Dark Brotherhood than I do. All of my coding and work can still be used for Brotherhood purposes. I will return to full duty in the future. Jac will decide on what to do with the now open Seneschal position.
