I hope you are all ready for there are no more excuses. The Sixth Great Jedi War is officially beginning today. But before I switch to in-character mode for news, I want to say a few words as organizer and member of this club.

The institution of the Great Jedi War has been plagued by problems ever since I have been a member. I have seen delays, controversial judgements, questionable events and even a war that has been terminated in the middle, without results or winners. I hope to have prepared a plan that will not only avoid these problems but provide something for everyone. However more than anything, a Jedi War stands and falls with the members. Please approach the event with an open mind, take it as what it is - a challenge in which to have fun - and be fair, sporting and active.

Thanks in advance go to Jac for the trust and coding, Goatham, Muz, Kaek and anyone else who contributed for help and to the Consuls for preparing the best Clans they can assemble. If things go right, thank them. An apology in advance goes for the inevitable points where things won't possibly go as smoothly as I hoped. I had to improvise in a few places to keep the start date and schedule and I hope it won't show too much.

That said - when you now go to the event list and prepare yourself to add fame and glory to your Clan, please remember that there is one major change compared to previous GJWs: Staggered releases. Instead of phases where everything starts and ends the same day, the 6th GJW will have start dates and due dates - and results - every Wednesday and Sunday. So no more realizing that you'll have 6 events due in two days... but this also means that we're off to a bit more of a quiet start. I suggest that you use the first two days to establish yourself in the runon and give your Clan an edge right from the start. And then... whip out your games, your word processor and your will to win and add some pwnage to your record.

The war has begun. We shall see who will remain victorious and who will fall by the wayside.
