"This has to be ridiculous", Kaiann growled in his secondary office. After recovering from the blast, he had not returned to Antei but rather to his remote facility in the mining belt. This facility was in an ideal place for the Lord Hegemon to work from in critical times - near the main resource lines, overseen by the Brotherhood shipyards and, most importantly, almost equal distances to all six Clans so distribution was not even more of a mess than it was. But at this time, there was no semblance of order or efficiency - just pure and utter chaos.

Kaiann had at first clearly believed in the authenticity of what was now colloquially called the "Red" Jac, the one of the two Jacs who was the diplomatic and scheming type. But over the last days, the relationship had become more stressed than it ever was between the two offices. He had to deal with one unreasonable demand after the other and, more so, he had to deal with reprimands and threats every time a convoy he sent fell to the other side, now often referred to as that of the "blue" Jac, because that Grand Master acted more like an Obelisk, taking what he needed with force and weapons.
