Greetings,

It is my distinct pleasure tonight to honor former DGM Xanos Sadow with an elevation to the rank of Dark Prophet.

Dark Prophet has only been awarded to two other members since the Exodus, Kaine Mandaala and Mav Cantor. It is a rank that defines the finest of members. A Dark Prophet is a member who has displayed the utmost loyalty to the Brotherhood, someone who has given their all over years and years of service and someone who is wise in all of their endeavors. Many would argue that this is an award more coveted than even the Golden Lightsaber; for all intents and purposes, DP is the rank given to members who could have very well been Grand Master had the pieces fallen into place. This is true of Kaine and Mav -- the same can now be said of Xanos.

I have met a lot of people over the past ten years and I can generally classify them into one category or the other. Xanos, however, is absolutely unique. I have never met a member with his uncanny knowledge of Star Wars, his devotion to the club and wisdom to do what is right. What he posted today a testament to that wisdom and his work as DGM is a testament as to his knowledge and devotion.

Xanos was the right choice for DGM after Kir resigned. He complimented me well and has been able to leave a vast imprint on the Brotherhood. His work will be seen for a long time...and many things are still to come. I plan to see the many projects he is working on to their completion. Goat has a knack for seeing things as they could be, and as such has helped to refine some important fictional and practical aspects of the club. He should be duly proud of his accomplishments as Deputy Grand Master.

Beyond his work ethic and contributions, Goat is a damn fine person and a friend to many. He is loyal, straight up and unwavering in support. You can't be DGM without getting the brunt of a lot of downs to counteract the ups. Goat has weathered the constant storm and has truly been a role model for those around him. I have learned from serving with him. I can only hope that if you have not worked with Goat before that you get a chance to. He is a great leader and a good friend.

Dark Prophet is not a rank that defines people. The people define this rank. The character and fitness of Kaine, Mav and now Xanos stand as a representative bar of what everyone in the Brotherhood should strive to be. It is a high standard, and rightly so. Members like this don't come along every day.

I thank Xanos and respect him greatly for standing down at this time. I have chosen his successor; I will announce that decision this weekend.
