Call of Duty 4 DB Clan

A few members have gotten together to create a DB-related Clan for playing Call of Duty 4 over Xbox Live. If you're interested in joining them you should get in contact with Sklib, or post on the thread linked above.

If they are able to get enough members there'll more than likely be a couple of sanctioned competitions in line with what we did with Halo 3. So if you play CoD4 on the 360 - sign up now.

Only this one, and only if enough people sign up for it. As it is, it's just a little group of DB players playing together against other Internet players.

No, it is not an officially recognized DB platform. It won't be involved in Gaming Nights or ICTE, or used in any vendetta competitions. As we did with the Halo 3 launch, if enough people express interest in a non-official game we may run a competition or two with it just for fun. Such a competition would most likely be in the form of a ladder with crescents up for grabs, maybe a special prize if there is enough participation.

As I've said before - if people have a game they think can generate enough participation for a fun little competition then send me the details and we'll see what we can do. I'm all for spicing things up once in a while, but I myself am trying to focus on our internal official gaming, rather than looking for whichever new game strikes people's fancy.

Of course, these kinds of competitions won't happen very often. It seems to be ridiculously difficult in bringing together a group of DBers to a single game and a single platform. 360 was what these guys started it on, but if there are enough PC players I'm sure you could set up a similar thing.

I would rather see the old games more promoted and done more often before you start promoting games that will fail anyway.

Or maybe start looking at games like Shadowrun, where PC gamers can battle Xbox Gamers and visa versa.

Just my two cents though...
