House Naga Sadow Quaestor Report

Hi all, welcome to my 2nd report, and the first as HNS Quaestor. Historically, only one other person has held the title- Astronicus Sadow around the time of the Split. It’s a great honor!

Doings:

Things are well underway with our wiki audit, and many of the changes have been made already by myself. My especial thanks to Fremoc Pepoi for his hard work, and Xanos, Trev, and Tron for their help digging up details from the old days.

Our Clan to House switch was fairly painless, and I think this will revitalize things across the DB.

Change is the only constant as it were and this change is a step forward. the new BTL leaders have been put in place and things are moving forward. many of the wiki articles have been re-tagged already.

Rather excited to see some “new blood” doing very well, and some old faces return re-ignited and ready to have fun here in HNS again. I love our spirit, most of our folks have fun and are good people. It’s always a pleasure to serve them.

Our runon “Unrest in the City” as fictional development is a heck of a lot of fun for me. I’ve seen some old folks, and some new ones all having fun and developing their characters. Much thanks to the many hard workers. Especially Xanos. Always willing to write from a non-character perspective, his posts really bring the NPC’s and milieu to life.

Upcoming:

I’m planning to run a multi-event house-wide competition called Warriors of Sadow. I hope to have some innovative events incorporating some of the new SW material out there. This includes hopefully working with the FIST and his staff to encourage gaming across HNS in preparation for the rumored upcoming Vendetta.

We had a great conclave a week back, and I hope to see some shinies and promotions coming out of it.

Quaestor Projects and Ideas:

I’m brainstorming an idea for a new SA course. I wrote 2 of the current ones we have, and the area I have in mind may not yet be covered. Stay tuned. Am also taking the Writing course, and need to do my homework this weekend. Oh and I put some of my crudely-drawn posters for the DB around the local gameshop and UNCA college campus. Muz had mentioned some good ones he has, as soon as I get them I’m putting them up. More members having fun is exactly what we need!

I was having this thought: It’s important to remember a leadership position in this club is a job that people don’t get paid for. They do it because they love the club, and to have fun-even though you must be a little crazy to do it. Leadership comes through example, and just because you don’t have the AED-QUA-GM whatever title doesn’t mean you can’t lead or help the club and your unit. Just dooo it!

At the moment, I am on vacation with tequila. Clan Never Sober rides again. ;)
