Aloha, and greetings, Tarentum! Thank you in advance to those who take the time to read this, the first report of my third tenure as overall head of Tarentum.
I'd like to take a minute and make sure to introduce myself to everyone. Some of you are very familiar with me; others, not so much. I am Sith Bloodfyre, one of the Tarentae, Master of the Sith Order (I don't like the term "Dark Jedi Master" so much), and a veteran of both Tarentum and the Dark Brotherhood in general for nearing 11 years now. In that time, I have served in myriad positions across Tarentum, and even on the Dark Council as the (last) Sith High Warrior, before the Order Leader position was dissolved.
I'm looking forward to this third term in overall leadership. I'm looking forward to working with Arcona to maintain and advance the alliance that was begun with them when Mejas and I were previously in office so many years ago. But most of all, I'm looking forward to building and enhancing friendships that really help to define what Tarentum is. To those of you who know me, I'm excited to see what we all accomplish this time around. To those of you who are new to Tarentum, and haven't yet had the time to build up our friendship, I really am excited to get to know you, and I think we're all going to have some fun.
In addition to being selected to succeed Ronovi Tavisaen, another of the Tarentae, to head Tarentum, the positions of Aedile (overall second-in-command of Tarentum) and Rollmaster (assistant to the House Summit) needed to be filled. I've talked to a few people who I thought could do the job, and who I figured might be interested in them. I didn't ask for applications, but these people are good members, and I know they'll work hard to try and be successful. Filling the spot of Aedile, and hopeful to really help make a difference, is Tlaloc Elols. Filling the spot of Rollmaster, and just as eager as Elols and I, is Raimi Mistwalker. Congratulations to those two, and my appreciation to them for their willingness to fill leadership spots.
I'd also like to mention that, especially for the benefit of the newer members, the Tarentae are experienced, incredibly dedicated members who have risen to the challenge time and again, and have defined themselves previously both in leadership positions, as well as by being dedicated, active, motivated members of Tarentum. If anyone has questions, needs answers, is looking for help, or otherwise, anyone with the last name of "Tarentae" is a point of additional leadership and assistance. Seek them out whenever you need help, and they'll be glad to do what they can for you.

If you take the time to look at that message board topic, you'll notice about 5,600 or so words that I've been working on now for over a week or so, to help update and advance the House's fiction after the recent Three-Way Feud that we had with Naga Sadow and Taldryan. I'd like to take another opportunity to congratulate Naga Sadow on their First Place victory, Taldryan on their Second Place standing, and to thank those who provided the activity we put forward, and the effort you all made. I think a lot of the Feud was entertaining, and I'd like to think that, in the future, it'll be worthwhile to look into another possible Feud with those two Houses. They did a lot of good work, and certainly earned their standings.
Along with that bit of work I've put forward, I'm also in the process of updating and advancing the House's Wiki pages, and in working with the veterans and leadership of the House to put forward some fictional advancement, and opportunities for House fiction to really be pushed forward by all of us. If you're a writer, it's an interesting time to be in Tarentum. Get acquainted with the situations in Yridia (our home system) that are being presented in that work, and then be ready to step up our fictional game.
Along with the work that's being done to motivate the House's fiction and such, work for our writers is being headed up by Maxamillian von Oberst, another of my Tarentae peers. Oberst is a former Consul, and one of our more well-known member. He is a great writer, an amazing editor, and he can help provoke your writing into an entirely new level. Get in touch with him if you're one of our writers, because he's going to have a lot in store for those of us who write, and really challenge our perceptions and abilities to new heights. It's going to be a lot of fun, I think. I'm looking forward to the challenges he's going to put us through.
Smoke and Archean have stepped up to work with, and help motivate our House's gamers. Smoke was the first Fist of the Brotherhood, a position dedicated to the gamers and gaming community of the Brotherhood, that was previously the Gaming Tribune, and even the Order Leaders before that. Where we have molded our leadership based around activity, and really helped it evolve and grow into the position of the Fist, Smoke wants to see the same thing happen in Tarentum. Additionally, Archean, another of my Tarentae peers, former Quaestor, and overall great guy, has also stepped up to work with Smoke on motivating our gamers, to help improve our skills, and really step up our activity levels as much as he can. I know I'm not as good at gaming as maybe I am at writing, but I have a lot of fun when I get in a couple of JA or JO matches with those guys. If you are a gamer, get in touch with them. You can be both a writer and a gamer, or focus on one or the other. If you're going to game at all, get in touch with them, and they'll do what they can to help motivate you, and provoke you to new heights as a gamer.
Just a quick shout out to everyone, but I love hearing from the friends I have in this House. That means, I love hearing from everyone. Get in touch with me! There's a lot of you that I want to hear from, because I want to know how life is going, how things in the Brotherhood are progressing, and so on. If you're working towards attaining that next rank, get in touch with me; I'll do what I can to make sure you have projects and activity opportunities to get you promoted up. If you want to be active, and need some help, get in touch with Oberst (for writing, [Log in to view e-mail addresses]) or Smoke and Archean (for gaming, [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and [Log in to view e-mail addresses] respectively) and me, too ([Log in to view e-mail addresses])! We all want to do what we can to help you succeed, just make sure to give us a head's up, and we'll get on it, ok? Good deal.
I'll close this report there. There's a lot to look ahead to, and a lot of opportunities for everyone to get involved. I think I'm also going to start working on a project I had put forth several years ago, which was really helping to explain and expand upon the ranks and roles of each within the Brotherhood, and within Tarentum. I want everyone to know exactly how much they CAN do, and not how limited some people think they are. Every rank has a role to fill, and it pushes Tarentum's capabilities and unity that much higher when we all get involved, and help motivate each other.
Take the time to get to know everyone, to communicate with everyone, and we'll make this House, and this Club, everything it can be, and should be. You're a great group of people. I've worked with many of you, but this is an exciting time to be in Tarentum, and there's a lot we'll be able to accomplish with each other.
I plan on putting out reports about every 1-2 weeks, depending on what is going on, and how much there is to keep everyone up on. Reports will be viewable on the main Dark Brotherhood site, under the Tarentum Roster, under the "Quaestor" link. They will also be sent to you via email, and will be posted on the Dark Brotherhood Message Boards, as well. If you're having trouble accessing the main site, or the boards, get a hold of me, and I'll do what I can to help out.
Have a great week, Tarentum!

Love the graphics header BF!!!!
Great introduction report, BF. It sounds like you've gotten things rolling at a nice pace already. I'm looking forward to seeing what Tarentum will bring to the table in the near-future.
lol
Nice report, Bloodfyre (and sweet graphics too).
Ji's comment = <3
Congratulations on your appointment, Bloodfyre. Good to see that Tarentum's still within skilled hands. :)
[21:49] <kaek> you know I realized something [21:49] <kaek> BF reminds me of Bill O'Reilly [21:49] <kaek> he's obviously biased...but tries to act neutral [21:49] <kaek> and has an outrageous sense of self-importance [21:50] <kaek> and if it's not his idea, it's bad [21:51] <kaek> fortunately, also like Bill O'Reilly, he's becoming progressively more and more irrelevant :P</kaek></kaek></kaek></kaek></kaek></kaek>

Kaek circa 2008. Way to show him
Yep. I remember Kaek saying that. I also remember, he was probably pretty accurate. I was stressed out, egotistical, and angry. Fortunately, I had friends who slapped me around and broke me of that. And then there were people like Kaek who just liked to make fun of the situation. Which also helped, I suppose. It's always good to remember that I don't want to be "that guy" anymore. So I always appreciate the reminders.
