Hola gang! Who’s ready for a sexy QUA report? I know; ‘about time, right’? Right. I'm bringing you this report while I witness my first hurricane. It's not often that the Northern-East Coast gets a hurricane, and it's been 20 years since there was one where I live. So, I hope you enjoyed that little piece of information.

I had full well intended to have this released last Sunday night, but I managed to have a little bit of an accident while cruising on my longboard that very night, and was incapable of writing it for the next few days following due to a sprained wrist, and am now getting to it. Without further ado, here's the QUA Report!

As I’m sure you’re all aware, it’s been quite some time since I produced a report in this position, and well… it kinda sucks. I’ve been without a computer of my own since the Independence Games, and have been struggling of sorts to stay on top of things… However, things are looking up - still don’t have a computer yet, but never the less. Luckily though, I have an awesome new Aedile, Ashia, who has been fantastic to work with so far. Taldryan also has a new Rollmaster, the previously-serving BTL of Phoenix, Rian. Taking the reins from Rian and many great members before him, we find Rigar taking over the position of Battleteam Leader in Phoenix. Overall, Taldryan has a steady Summit to lead us, and I’m more than blessed to have such a crew of stellar members to train, learn from and carry ‘Tal toward a new era of awesomeness.

I like to call it: Generation A(wesome)7X, or Awesome Sevenfold. Hey, I bet you can’t guess one of my favorite bands?

Moving onward, I'd like to take this time to officially welcome a handful of members into Taldryan! In the past month alone, we've had Seraine "Erinyes" Tenama, Dralin Fortea and DarkAmiz! Erin and Amiz are old Tallywhackers (see what I did there?), while Dralin is a newer face to Tal's roster; however, he's surely not 'new' to all of us who linger on IRC, or have seen his work in the DB.

In prior months, we've also seen Ekeia Iclo and Teia Coran join us! I'm super excited to see such exuberant members becoming part of Taldryan. So, with that, welcome to Taldryan, Dralin, Ekeia, Teia and welcome back Erin and Amiz! =D

The big, huge, gigantic news on the white board today is the upcoming 10th Great Jedi War! It's been quite this past month from the DC in regards to the War, but it's still being pushed towards the end of September. For those who aren't quite aware what a GJW is, I'll break it down real quick for you.

A Great Jedi War is a large scale competition that's run by the Grand Master and the Dark Council for the entire Brotherhood to compete against each other on behalf of their respective House or Clan. A GJW is the due-breaker for who the real heavy-weight units in the Brotherhood are.

Taldryan's always been amongst the top 2 placements in the DB overall since our creation, and though we've not had 1st place in a good while, Taldryan has still kept its ground amongst the big-guns in the past years due to our dedicated membrs, and our overall quality. We can't rely on past years or past records to get us to remain in the heights of the Brotherhoods activity and skill. We need to hone our skills, and we need to shake off any rust that we've gained through the past couple of months, as playing time will be over and reality will be starting in a months time. So, who can Taldryan count on to work for her great title during GJWX? <3

In other news,Taldryan and Naga Sadow will be having a competition or two shortly before the Great Jedi War! We've been meaning to get something rolling between the two of us. Since there isn't a whole lot of time to run anything significant before the GJW, we're going to be getting something small going that will lead towards a bigger competitions after the GJW ends... and personally, I think you all are going to like this. It'll be fun, and really open up a path for both units to get further fictional development rolling.

With Naga Sadow in mind, I'd like you all to remember to keep this alliance in mind when creating any and or all of your GJW events. This isn't just a little "oh yeah, they're cool, I guess," kind of deal. Naga Sadow and Taldryan are growing closer and closer each day, both fictionally and IC. So go ahead, get to know the members in NS and then portray that relationship in your work!

DJM Shadow Taldrya earned himself a very nice Antein Cross for his service to the Brotherhood. I've come to realize that Shad's a vat of never-ending awesomeness. If I were a new member looking for some real advice, well let's just say I'd want to get to know Shad. <3

Shadow also managed to earn himself a nice (albeit belated) Steel Cross for his stellar work in the IG's, and his work therein around that time of the year. Keep working on getting that e-peen up!

OPM Benevolent Taldrya Whiner and JH Rigar Ulrand snagged some CF's from gaming. That was good, but what else do 'ya got? ;)

Since membership is part of our activity, and since we just had an AWOL check earlier this month, I'd like to update everyone on what happened through that.

Before the Master At Arms ran his AWOL check, we were at a solid 51 members. After the AWOL check was finished, Taldryan was left with 29 solid members, ranging from Elders to lower Journeymen. So far and with account of the transfers I mentioned earlier in my report, we have (guessing here, as I got a CGI error when trying to view our roster) a good 32-33 members strong. And boy do I mean strong. We've got some heavy-hitters amongst us, and I'm hoping to see some of you really hit it home for Tal in the GJW, especially those who have transferred into Tal in recent months. Now's your time to REALLY shine, and see what it's like to be apart of a unit that PWNS.

As you all should know, we had tried to get a TT out a month or so ago. That failed, but due to the help of some very loyal TT enthusiasts, we're looking to see a release of our fantastic News Letter released post-GJW. I urge you all to copy/paste any IRC quotes that you see as funny or hilarious and paste them into an email to send to the TT staff, or to paste into a word document labeled "Tal TT Quotes" in which you can later hand off to the TT staff. I especially hope you all get some good material to start writing and/or creating for this issue! It's always nice to see what comes from our members after a good Great Jedi War.

When you do manage to get your article or comic or quotes all settled, feel free to send them to myself ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and Rigar ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) as soon as you have them; it's never to early to submit to the TT. <3

In closing, I'd like to encourage you all, my loverly Taldryanites, to continue working on your characters development through the Wiki, through updating your Character Sheets, to doing little competitions at the House or DB wide level. I recently just hammered out a basic summary of my characters history on my Wiki. I've had a difficult time trying to figure out my character outside of basic combat and fictions, and I think it's safe to say that I've gotten it worked out.

I'm planning on further developing my characters history from here. Since we have some very helpful friends in Naga Sadow, this will allow me to have some more background to write with in developing my character in the future.
