Early Game Access* for Star Warsâ¢: The Old Republic⢠is only a few days away! Starting December 13, 2011, The Old Republic will begin emailing invitations to start your Early Game Access. Invitations will be sent throughout the Early Game Access period offering rolling access to the game in the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code, so be sure to check your email inbox!
To ensure that players can get into the game as quickly as possible when their Early Game Access begins, we are now allowing everyone who has redeemed a Pre-Order Code at our Code Redemption Center to pre-load the game to their computer.
In order to download the game client before Early Game Access begins, you need have already logged into your account and redeemed your Pre-Order Code. Once you have done this, you can download the game client by clicking on âMy Accountâ in the upper-right of the window and then click âPre-Order.â On your Pre-Order page, click the large button that says âDownload Game Clientâ to begin download of the game!
If you participated in our recent Beta Testing Weekend between November 25th and 28th and still have the game client installed, you will be able to patch this client instead of re-installing by simply launching your client, logging in and allowing the download to complete. If you did not participate in the November 25th â 28th Beta Weekend, first uninstall the Game Testing Client and then re-install to ensure your game client will function correctly during Early Game Access.

Grace period meaning soon as 20th comes if you don;t have your retail key u won't be able to play.
And this is why I made sure to get release date delivery on my order. ;P

Is if you don't have a retail key for a game, you won't be able to play it. What shocking revelations.
That's why I pre-ordered through Amazon (my only option in NZ :P)
He's saying that if you don't have your product code at the start of the general release of the game, but had been using the early access that you'd purchased as part of the pre-order program, you could stop having access to the game that you'd been accessing as part of the early access program. So, for example, you could have purchased your game through some mail service and not end up having it show up at your door until two or three days after the release date and could therefore be unable to continue accessing it after the early access period until your physical key showed up.
Thank you Solus that is exactly what I was trying to say. A lot of mmo's have a grace period when you preorder for people to be able to get there cd keys put in and espically with the time of year it been released it needed one. Anyone with half a brain knows that christmas postage is the worst of anyime of year I know the only one who thinks that EA have messed up big time.
Solari if you ordered from amazon than i doubt u will get till early january. I would check about your dispatch date isn't till like 22/23 december.
You will get a 2 day grace period to input the product code for the launch client. The Early Access starts on the 15th. Email invitations start going out on the 13th to let you know when you can start to play. That's why it says up to 7 days to play. 15th to the 20th plus 2 days to input retail code = 7 days.
ummm, early access starts on the 13th. Emails will start going out on the 13th, but people will get in on the 13th, and start playing on the 13th.
they updated that since the first post was made. I saw the new email just a bit ago.
I just got my emaill from Game UK saying that they are deliverying on the 15th so I hope everyone gets early delievery
