And the first AGQ Olympiad is done! The competition was a smashing success, with 34 players participating. Competition was furious, with the top spots changing almost daily. The eventual top ten was as follows:
Strategos Thanatos Entar Arconae, 226,857,324 credits!
Timeros Caesus Entar Arconae, 96,255,959 credits.
Wuntila Zratian Entar Arconae, 61,727,157 credits.
Celahir Erinos, 28,311,329 credits.
Cyberguy Quiritatio Entar, 20,792,301 credits.
Koryn Thraagus, 8,975,083 credits.
Akatsuki Tamalar, 6,815,868 credits.
Jason Hunter, 6,508,449 credits.
Furios Morega, 6,225,716 credits.
Varoth, 5,545,531 credits.
Obviously, results ended up being lopsided, with Strategos in particular building up a massive lead. But fear not! Next round, you do not need to fear a repeat, as he's volunteered to step down as a player and has become part of the administrative team, instead. Moreover, he's decided to share some of his skills with us, in the form of the Arcona Galaxy Quest Guide.
Congratulations to all winners, and we hope to see you soon. Round 2 will start in about 20 hours from now, and signups have already been opened!

Great job arcona! It's so awesome that y'all can bend rules and use secret atvantages against everyone else. great job!
STRAT (1st place, networth 226M) DID NOT FIGHT WITH HONOR!
Varoth (10th place, networth 5.5M credits) did.
(For a more serious note: "Secret advantages"? You mean like the clearly-labeled "Foreign Aid" button that was present on everyone's screen? I mean, I know it can't be about refusing to attack each other, because Furios and you didn't do that a single time in the final week. And, just to give you a bit of news: It didn't actually play out that way. We'd have beaten you regardless of the Foreign Aid. I carried over a third of all in-game cash that didn't belong to Strat. I could have bought an army to curbstomp you. Hell, I eventually did just that when I lost my old one).
Granted I'm Arconan, but I too used foreign aid in the last week to send Maaks some troops, noboy seemed to care seeing as it didn't really matter outcome wise, point being, the option was available so I used it.
It wasn't until the notice about foreign aid in red text that I noticed we weren't allowed to use foreign aid. Sure I can see where you're coming from, but you can't complain that somebody simply used an option available to him to help his friends out.
That and what's the big deal, it's just a game.
The "It's just a game" comment is well known to me which is why i ccongratulated y'all on a "job well done!" Specificly, the "secret atvantage" that i'm refuring to is the ratio of mages-mana that is required to advance in Era. It was leaked out that some of you knew this and other things that gave an unfair advantage in the game. I think that this game should have be worked on alot me before being released. The so called "help guide" should have been perfected and contained all information about the game.
With that said, I rest my case. Now lets end this petty argument.
Supposed cheating aside, I'm just personally glad I finished as high as I did. One goal was to be in the top ten...and that was achieved. I did think it was a bit fishy when I learned the top three were all Arcona... At least I represented Tarentum fairly well!
...well for never having played this game or anything like it before, that is.
Without proof, all we have are standings and point totals. Let's be sportsmanlike and leave it at that, alright folks?
Great work to everyone, good job to the Arconans for kicking some ass, and I'd like to say that I'm very proud of our Plagueian boys as well. Regardless of who took it in the end, you guys kicked some ass and made our presence known. You've made us glad to call you our Housemates, and I know you'll do spectacularly next time around.
To everyone involved - keep showing everyone that the DJB's the place to be!
