One of the things we don't seem to do enough of around here is advertise our products. Both ones we currently offer and ones forthcoming. This is something I'd like to change starting right now.
Beta testing has been live for a little while now on the brand-new DJB website. James and his crew have been hard at work creating us a new way to sate our demonic little egos faster than ever before. However, before some details, I'd like to acknowledge the man himself and his fantastic crew of coders.
Note: In the DJB, the word "Coder" is pronounced [muh-jish-uhân]. Because that's what these folks are to us. Without them, we're all back on the bedroom floor with the D&D manuals. Or, in this case, Sarin's ridiculously extensive West End Games collection.
So please thank the following when you see them:
SCL - James - Arcona</font color=#f3d900>
<font color="#f3d900">P:SCL - Celahir - Arcona</font color=#f3d900>
<font color="#f3d900">M:SCL - Arion - Naga Sadow</font color=#f3d900>
<font color="#f3d900">M:SCL - Orv - Arcona</font color=#f3d900>
<font color="#f3d900">M:SCL - Xia - Naga Sadow</font color=#f3d900>
<font color="#f3d900">M:SCL - Invictus - Arcona</font color=#f3d900>
So take a minute and catch one of these folks on IRC or email and thank them for the work they are quietly, but assuredly, producing on our behalf.
Now that you've taken time to thank the Seneschal staff. I'd like to let you know a little bit about the new site.
My biggest impression: It's fast. Real fast. Things load quickly which I really appreciate. Whether searching for members by name, switching between tabs on dossiers, or expanding news postings, the whole thing is just really quick.
Here are some of the other great features we'll see soon...
<font color="#f3d900">**Total recode in a next-generation web development language, facilitating a stable codebase to build future expansions on. Possessions System!
Introduction of Paths (Dark, Light) that each have their own set of Orders (Krath, Sith, Jedi, etc.) - This also means Lighties can think up their own rank system, including abbreviations!
On-the-fly prestige calculation (so prestige will always be up-to-date).
All Herald (Art) stuff manageable through web-interface, so no need to manually upload sabers/robes/warbanners anymore!
News and reports merged into one 'news' resource, attached at the position and unit level. So, for example, Battle Team Leaders can post news items too!
Contextual display of news when logged in. You will see all "top-level" unit news items (Dark Council, Clans, Independent Houses, etc.) plus everything relevant for you on the Clan, House, and Battle Team level!
New recommendation system where summit members can "add" their recommendations to existing ones. So no more collecting recommendations through e-mails!**</font color=#f3d900>
Now what would you pay? But wait, there's more!
Ah, but you'll have to stick around and find out what that stuff is when the site goes live.
FAQ
Q: When does the site go live?
A: When it's done.
Oh, you can't wait though? All this free stuff coming your way and you have just got to have a crack at it now?
Fine.
James is interested in a few more beta-testers. If you'd like to help find bugs, click on the link below and fill out the form.
So yeah, this is one of about ten different and exciting things I can think of off the top of my head that are headed your way.

Three cheers for hyper-efficient code-monkeys!

REBIRTH!
Thanks for this guys. Your hard work is definitely appreciated.
The coding team really is doing a fantastic job, I can't wait for all of this to go live.
Oh please remove my name. Seriously. :D Due to my irl my participation in this is really really minor and not worth mentioning my name. Kudos to James. He is awesome!
(btw. All the others are also awesome lol)
For those interested, I decided to start a forum topic about Light side ranks:
