Greetings, brethren in the Dark Side...

First off, welcome to the "new style" Krath High Priestess report. I thought it would be a lot nicer to add some cool stuff in rather than just do the normal announcements junk that is just sooooooo impersonal. This Report may not always be entirely regular (cause I'm sometimes really junk about motivating myself to do anything - we all know what that's like, right?), but it will pop out every now and again with all the Krath Office news and gossip you could ever, ever want! (cue cheer)

This week has been a stupendously busy one on the Dark Council, with everyone playing swap-a-chair, by the looks of it. For those who've been hiding in a hole for the last week:

GM Chi-Long replaced with GM Firefox

DGM Shaitan` replaced with DGM Astatine

KCB Trevarus Caerick resigns, makes a fool of himself and retracts resignation (everybody is now permitted to call him "Ramos" for a week)

SHW - Open for applications

CoG Telaris resigns - position open for applications

OHC Rizlib to resign in the future - choosing his own replacement

KHP Mairin Astoris res- hmm... no, actually, I won't. :P

I know not many of you know Firefox very well, but having had the pleasure to be able to work closely with him for the last 6 months, I can say without any doubt he's one of the best things to happen to the Brotherhood for a long, long time. I am absolutely sure that he will help us to grow and prosper in ways we never imagined - plus he's going to let us have RPG!! w00t!

Archives

Work on the archives is progressing fairly quickly. I'm in the middle of doing The Quest Vendetta submissions at the moment, and am starting to get a bit more optimistic about actually having all the stuff submitted since I became KHP HTMLed by December. I was going to make this into a mega-stupdenous database, but I've decided that considering the rework I'd have to do at this late stage that's not viable. I am unlikely to change much of the colour scheme, however, so eventually, if I find the time, we may get the Archive "Beta" version.

So what's good about this archive? Basically, every member has their own personal section in the archive - your own little page dedicated solely to you and your work. What's even nicer, is that you can make personalised greetings, etc, to put on your page which the KHP will very nicely add in for you. I will send out a list of people whose work is so far HTMLed a bit later on in the day (after I've done some uni work), and you will then be able to add a greeting/welcome message to your section of the archive by emailing me with your choice of words! (cue cheer)

Only two more weeks to go, yippee! Yes, even I'm pleased ;) You've all been doing really well so far - these are the standings from last week, as they haven't been updated yet:

Monthly Topic

The Title for the Monthly Topic for November 2001 is "Initiation". You might like to consider ritual, rites of passage, and initiation into the Brotherhood as possible starting points for your story.

So what are the rules?

1: All entries must be submitted as .doc or .txt format - there will be NO exceptions this time around!

2: All entries must be submitted to the judges ([Log in to view e-mail addresses], [Log in to view e-mail addresses]) by 11.59pm EST on 2nd December 2001. Anything received after that time will not be eligible for awards.

3: Awards will only be given out if more than ten entries are received

4: Entries must be 1.5 pages (minimum) long, 12 point Times New Roman font or equivalent. Double spacing is not permitted.

5: You MUST include your DB ID line and Dossier number when submitting.

6: Competition open to all members of the Brotherhood.

7: Have fun! :)

Alvaak's newly formed House goes from strength to strength with the formation of its first ever Phyle. There's also been discussion recently of the introduction of a HAD-style Master-Student programme. KAP Aseret and KP Cirith seem to be doing a great job so far, and they've got some wonderful team work going on there. Great work, guys, keep it up. :)

After waiting a long time for this competition to start, HMR is currently engaged in the third CNS Artisans' Competition: The Orbs of Power. The run-on is looking a little... confusing at present, but I'm sure everything will work itself out in the long run.

Some leadership changes recently have seen KAP Blitz step down as QUA to allow P:HM KAP Betja Jun to take over the reigns. In the short time he's been QUA, things seem to be picking up nicely, and I hope to soon see Ektrosis back to full strength once more. And since I haven't received a report from Ektrosis since October, I feel totally justified in saying:

WHERE THE HELL ARE MY REPORTS, PEOPLE????? Once a week in future please, or the KHP poking stick will come out...

Gladius seem to have been doing well recently, picking up extremely well after the Vendetta. Currently placed 3rd in the Mystery League, and playing an active role in the Tarentum Clan Competition, I'm pleased to say I think Gladius are starting to pull together as a team. On the same note as before:

Reports??? Please get me one ASAP - the KHP Poking Stick (tm) is going to get overworked this week otherwise. >:P
