** The winds of change...

Everyone please welcome and congratulate the newest House Summit members - my new student and now **Oathmaster, Guardian Loor, and Saitou's student, DG Tetrarch, Protector Dengar March. I look forward to working with you guys, and know that HAD can expect the best from you both!

With all of these shifts in membership, I am still very confident and even excited to see newer people getting a chance to shine, stepping up to the challenge of keeping HAD at #1 in the upcoming Great Krath War, a position earned in past conflicts due to the efforts of past and present members alike.

**NEW! House Mini-Comp - Run-On Setup

**With most of the activities having ended way back in 2001, I am going to start a new run-on on our HAD message board, contributing to which will constitute participation for purposes of the AWOL check. Please do NOT begin new run-ons on the message board without first clearing it with myself and Cymbre - while I definitely appreciate the enthusiasm, having too many running often merely serves to diminish participation in every one of them! So, here's the comp:

Deadline: January 10, 2002

Email me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) a run-on setup post involving the events that lead HAD up to the beginning of the Great Krath War. It should be at least a page long - longer than a typical run-on post, but since it is the setup and should introduce the entire first ever, Great Krath War, it should be comprehensive.

The winning scenario will be posted on January 11 and the run-on will be open throughout the actual event, making for a running fiction which will parallel the competition. The winning scenario's writer will earn a DC or even SC depending on quality, with another DC going to the best post in the run-on overall, once it is closed.

**AWOL Check

This has been progressing slowly... keep in mind that some kind of **activity or competition participation is required in order to fulfill the requirements of the check. So far only two people have submitted work to qualify, one through the Order-Leader Caption Comp, and another by writing for the Krath topic, Beneath the Shadows.

I can only hope that everyone is saving their best work and participation for the Great Krath War ;-) Just remember to **always always always **cc myself and Cymbre on EVERYTHING you do - it is easy and keeps me off your back, plus in this case it will keep ya from getting AWOLed ;-)

_House Mini-Comp - Run-On Setup

Details are above in my report. The deadline is January 10, 2001, to send me a run-on setup post involving the events that lead HAD up to the beginning of the Great Krath War, set to begin on the 12th. DC or SC (depending on quality) to the writer of the scenario chosen.

**Check http://pub47.ezboard.com/bkarvadronaal for other news, discussion, etc. A new run-on is in the works (see above), so get in your idea for a setup and keep an eye on the Message Board for it to begin running.

**Krath Montly Topic - January

The topic this month is **"Resurrection" - anything the topic inspires you to write. Submissions, due by midnight on the last day of January, should be in .txt or .doc format, at least one page. Include your ID line and title your email "Monthly Topic - January 02," email to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and be sure to cc [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

**Dark Voice

Applications are now open for the **Dark Voice staff. Visit http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/hrld/dvstaff.html for details. Krathy jobs include Head of Submissions: Stories, Head of Submissions: Poems, and Tips: Fiction and Poetry.

If you are interested in contributing without joining the staff, send your submissions of writing, graphics, etc. to Cirith ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) by the 15th of each month to have your work published in the DB newsletter. Also contact Cirith if you are interested in becoming a regular contributor or would like to offer your help in any other ways.

**Design a Bad Guy

_** Dark Greetings, Krathies. I hope you had a great New Years.

Weve got some changes around the House as you all should know. _KE Karva _and KE Mike have both left us and _KP Timbal _stepped down from his position (but hes staying in HAD!), which left the DG TET and OM open. Were sorry to see Mike and Karv go

On a happier note Congrats to PRT Dengar March, our new Dragon Guard Tetrarch and GRD Loor, our new Oathmaster!!! Im sure you two will do an awesome job!

AWOL check is still going on and its a PARTICIPATION AWOLso do something to show Sabe and I youre alive!!! Post on the MB, participate in a comp., talk on irc!!! If you dont have IRC, go to http://www.mirc.com and download it!

Speaking of IRC, for those of you that are always in #CSP, make sure you follow Coochs rules regarding Ops and the bot (DarkFyre). Everyone on the CSP YahooGroup shouldve received his rules, but just in case you didnt read the email, here they are:

Only those who are Clan or House summit members can be auto oped.
Members of the DC and Order leaders can be oped, but it is a privilege, not a right.
Senior members and battle team commanders will be oped under the digression of Summit members.
NO ONE outside CSP who is not a current member of the DC or Order Leader is NOT to be oped at all. Ever.
If you would like any changes made to the bot and it's scripts then you will send an email to me outlining these changes, and why they should by done.

Weve also kinda formed our own House channel (appropriately called #HAD). Were botless atm, but we should be getting Xmaybeuntil then I think most of the above rules (Op House and Clan Summit, you dont HAVE to op DC, dont op anyone not a member of CSP) should apply to our channel, too. Although we shouldnt have any trouble.

And in some SA News, the Krath CORE exam has been launched, so be good little Krathie students and take the test! I looked it over and as long as you read thru the "Course section" you'll do fine. All the answers are in the DSC, DB site, and the Krath site.

Oathmaster's Report

_ My plans for this position is to continue developing it. I have thought about creating/writing cermonies for initiations (new members), weddings, rank elevations, medals etc. Writing up a warm welcome letter to new members so they feel welcome. Perhaps making a website for the suites so people can see who is living with who.

That's the ideas I have right now. More will come...

Greetings Dragon Guard!

I am Dengar March, your new TET! I would like to see this Phyle become the best example of what a active Phyle should be, and I know DG can do it. In order to do that, I would like to set some goals=)

My Goals are simple:

Full Phyle of active members.
Every member taking part in competitions.
Atleast one major competition, and several smaller competitions every month!
Everyone to have fun!

First step is to get some more members! I would like to see more members, not only in the Phyle, but also in the House too. Competitions will be starting shortly, if you have a competition Idea, don't hesitate to email me.

I also have a DG webpage up at http://www.geocities.com/dengarmarch . It isn't finished yet, I need alot more graphics and I need to add the other pages too(the links aren't connected to anything at the moment).

Finally, I have asked PRT Sunrider to stay on as XO. He has been XO for quite a while, and I know he will do a good job.

I should have a messageboard and some type of comp by the next Report, besides having the wepbage fully opperational.

I am on IRC everyday(just need to catch me:P) using the names, Dengar, LC_Dengar, orSnuggles and I answer emails within 24 hours( [Log in to view e-mail addresses] is my DB email). I also am on MSN Messenger quite often(add [Log in to view e-mail addresses] to your list.)
