Well we've had a very productive and interesting week in the Shadow Academy. Some of the following points will make some of you uneasy, however, all such moves are for the benefit of both the Brotherhood as a whole and the Shadow Academy centre.

1) As SCL Grail is currently re-coding the "graduates report" page for The Shadow Academy I am unaware of the number (though I believe it to be about 176-180 for the CORE, 15 for the Krath CORE and 6 for the Krath Grammar). The new page will not only display the SA CORE Graduates but also ALL other courses and graduates and a TOTAL of ALL graduations from the academy!!! I'm really looking forward to this extra enhancement and would like to thank Grail for his work and efforts in all he's done for the HM admin options on the database. Cheers mate!

2) SCL Grail is also re-coding the flush system, making it full proof so no errors will EVER occur again (KAP Aragorn)!

"I hope this to be up and implemented by next week, so I'll set a FLUSH date for next Friday 15th. Anyone who's gonna get flushed through laziness but wants to stay - GET WORKING!!!

3) Good news on the expansion of the Order Studies, it looks like we'll soon have a CORE examination online for ALL 3 Orders!!! SHW Yacko has agreed (after pleading of many Sithies!) to start formulating a Sith CORE. I'm looking forward to this but he doesn't want you lot to turn into "role-playing Krathies" so stay as mean as ever if it gets up and running. OHC Sharad has also submitted a revamped version of the Obelisk CORE. I've mailed it to the GM and DGM to let them have an input and hopefully without too long it'll be integrated into the system.

4) GM Jac Cotelin has agreed to join my team as my other Magistrate. He's already started a review of the recently written Leadership Studies and has ASP'd the first version. He will be running this course through course updates, marking of tests and then letting me know when to update dossiers. I'd also like thank my Praetor, Betja Jun,for agreeing to mark the Krath Grammar. He's already had 6 grads and is looking forward to many more! My other Magistrate, OBM Crusader, has been coding the soon to be opened Krath Run-On course. Finally, KPN Arion Sunrider will be writing a Krath Fiction course over the coming weeks and I hope to have that going by the start-middle of March.

5) After KHP Mairin and DGM Astatine's recent crit I have updated all test and notes accordingly, however, after further review and discussion the SA system is set to change yet again! The first phase, promotion from APP-NOV, has been re-written and will be a merge between SA and DB BASICS. It contains more appropriate questions for newbies and some practical questioning ion how the database features work. DGM Astatine was correct in his thoughts about the 2 tests, when 1 would suffice. The second phase, promotion from NOV-ACO, will be the joining of a House and Character History completion. The third phase is currently being discussed and as of yet aren't sure whether we will continue with a third phase. This will result in academy graduation being once again lowered to the rank of Acolyte, however, I have proposed some pretty decent ideas and I hope one of them will be used.
