Dark Adept Kaerner, Commander of Tau Squadron, stalked silently down the hallway. His long time friend, and comrade in arms, Sith Warlord Keirdagh Cantor, the Sith High Warrior of the Dark Brotherhood, walked at his side. Walking through the newly refurbished Dark Hall, they approached the Grand Master's Bedroom without pause to consider the Royal Guards attempting to bar their way. Using a flash of the force, Kaerner pinned his would be detainers to the ground as he and Keirdagh walked past. Keirdagh, giving the proper recognition to the Force Wardens at the door to Firefox's chambers strode right in. "You two really need to start coming in at the proper hours of the evening" said Firefox from his meditation circle.
The hundreds of candles surrounding the Grand Master flicked sporadically, making his face seem almost as grave as the two Jedi pilots were feeling. "You have information about the uprisings" Firefox stated.
"That's affirmative Grand Master, we have reason to believe that the dark will that has been battling your control over the sector is indeed behind these uprisings. More pointedly though, we backtracked the ships that have been making strikes into our borders to a system called Hyperion." Kaerner paused to let Firefox ask anything, or explain that he knew all of this already... he didn't.
"We followed them out there aswell," Keirdagh blurted out just before Kaerner could start again. "We thought we got in undetected, and were snooping around, getting some readings on the massing fleets, when the Zulu's dropped in on us from around a planet."
"Zulu's?" asked Firefox, clearly intrigued.
Kaerner elbowed Keirdagh again, obviously not wanting to break this news to the Grand Master. "Yeah, that's basically what we took to calling them in the skirmish. Hades should be credited, saying something about a group of warriors from his homeworld or something." Firefox obviously not caring about the details, looked pointedly at Kaerner. Sighing, Kaerner started up again.
"Thanks Yacks," Kaerner muttered with a grin. "Anyways, as I'm sure Yacks was eventually going to get to, the Zulu's were a squadron of starfighters we hadn't seen before. Hell, they don't even LOOK like anything we've seen before. They were impressive, would have made the A-9's we're flying look like playtoys if their pilots had been any good." Kaerner paused long enough to get a nod from Keirdagh and Firefox, before he continued. "I think though, we stumbled upon a training session, these guys would have to be green with the way they were flying. They weren't using their ships to their advantage at all. Those things could dance like fireli.."
"I get the idea Kaerner, thank you" interupted Firefox. "I'm more concerned about the massing fleets you saw."
Kaerner and Keirdagh both looked at each other, as if confused that the news of a new Starfighter could be less important than a fleet. Shrugging, Keirdagh stated "oh, it's pretty big, nothing the Sith can't handle if we get the Battlegroup backing us up with some cap ship fire. A VicStar, few Dreads, some other things, nothing too big."
"Would you suggest an attack?" asked Firefox.
"Well yeah, they're obviously getting ready to step it up against us. These border skirmishes have just been to test our defenses. They're ready to invade us, so we'd better knock them out first," Kaerner said, a little more in his element of tactics.
"Very well," said Firefox, "start making preparations... the Sith are going to war."
