• The Clan Competition has been pushed back to accomadate the Sith Wars. New Starting date is May 19th till the 23rd of June. PCON Khobai is looking for talented Flash animators to help him.

• Last night, there was a JK2 tourney held by CoG Sithspit. This will be held every saturday at #Obelisk on 15.00 EST. This weeks winner was OHC Sharad...Silly Shar winning his own tourney. Unfortunatly APP Cespenar wasent there to saber his ass, so next week I expect some Arconians with Lightsabers by his side to kick some ass.

• Qel-Droma is showing some more activity and im hoping it will continue to grow. Check the QD report for all pertinent information concerning competitions and the like.

• New HM is Arion Sunrider, congrats go out to one of Arcona's former Consuls. :)

Dark Tidings-

I'm working on writing the plot for the clan competition. I'm also getting in touch with people who can do flash so I can get an intro movie made for the comp.

Right now, we have the greenlight for May 19th - June 23rd for the clan competition. Tarkin and I wanted to start it on the 28th but I have a lot of schoolwork to do, and I'd rather postpone the competitions until after the Sith Wars.

I'll be reworking the Arcona Academy to deal with the Shadow Academy graduating people at NOV instead of PRT. The new points chart should be out soon...

The Competition

   1. Ok, first thing: The run-on. Things seem to be going well, and there is certainly some twists. At this rate, I think it'll turn out to be a good story. In the event that we do not finish on time, the story will continue.   

   2. The Trivia is still up. I have only received a few responses for it, but you have until the 24th. Some are hard, others easy.  

   3. I have yet to see one Battle Arena match finished. If you don't finsih, you don't have the chance of getting winner points for it, but only participation.  

   4. I will be updating the scores tonight/tomorrow, both individual and phyle. This means I will be grading the trivia that I have received so far. As of right now, the scores are pretty close.  

Medals, Awards, and Promotions

   1. I was awarded the Steel Cross and Paladorion was awarded the Star of Eos.  

   2. JH ^Cyberguy^ has been named the new Rollmaster.  

   3. As for Letters of Commendation (and Merit), I would like to clear a few things up:  

         A) Tetrarchs, Pala, and myself can award them. Once you get 5 Letters of Commendation, you can trade them in for a DC. It only takes 3 Letters of Merit to get a DC.  

         B) Letters of Merit are handed out in competition times only. On the phyle House level, they serve as a good third place award. During larger competitions, they shall be handed out for hard work and service (this is the roll that the Letters of Commendation serve regularly).  

         C) Now, a new option. 3 Letters of Commendation can be traded for a Letter of Merit. This will be useful if, for example, you already have 2 Letters of Merit.  

         D) Letters cannot be traded in for rank advancements. The point system is in place for the younger members and once you hit DJK, then it's up to you to prove yourself worthy of the next rank.

   1. ACO Caesar Stormrider has changed Orders, but he is still a fellow Arconan.  

   2. There were no new members this week.

House News

1) First of all I would like to welcome the new arrivals to HOO, hope you enjoy your stay here

2) I would also like to say congrats to SBM Halc, on his promotion. No-one deserves it quite as much as he does for all the tireless work over the past months. Congrats again Halc, I take it the drinks are on you ;))

3) Also congrats go to SBM Tarkin on his promotion to Sith Battle Lord, again more free drinks with any luck ;)

4) The comp with House Tridens is still under way, just for you ease of reference I have included the details below.

Single Player Flying:

All 3 platforms shall be used (TIE, XvT and XWA) - The total score divided

by the number of people in the house scoring system would be used. Highest

point total would get 5 points for the house - Also, the top 5 pilots

combined from both houses would get points. % points for 1st, 4 points for

2nd and so on. Points added to house total - Above scoring system would be

used for each platform - Submissions sent to the QUA's of the respective

houses. The choosen battles are DB-TIE 11, XvT-DB 4 and XWA-DB 2 all are

attached.

Multi-Player Ladder:

Oriens Obscurum pilots fight against Tridens pilots - Match scores to be

sent by winner, cc the loser as well as the AED's of each house. - The house

with the most wins gets 5 points for the house - Top 5 scorers combined also

get points for their respective house. % points for 1st, 4 for second and so

on - A tie equals .5 of a win, so two ties equals one win. - Combat can

either be 1on1 or 2on2

Every member of the house can compete, including the house summit so that

means you Tarks and Khob ;)

But whats in it for me I hear you cry, well besides the usually recognition

and academy points (I think it counts for them) you can win any of the

following

Awards for the top 3 pilots. Add up the individual points to find the top 3.

Steel Cross for first, War Cross for second and Dark Cross for third

Not only that but SW Striker has set up a little side wager, If we win the

comp overall we get one of GRD Defender's Prank Monkeys (I highly recommend

them BBQ'd :P) However if we lose, we have to give up oour prized novelty

bong from our ship the Long Bong.

So lets kick the tires and light the fires :))))

The Comp ends at the end of the month (30th April) and so far I have had no entries for SP or MP besides my own for the single player battles.. C'mon are we gonna let this lot trample all over us, or are we gonna put up a fight.

5) Congrats to SBM Enahropes Teriad Entar has been announced as the new Apocalypse Commander. Congrats Enah, don't let me down

6) JH X, long standing Commander of Pandragon squadron has had to resign his commission due to RL obligations. I would like to say thankyou for all your hard work over the past months and I am happy to see that you can stay on as a FM.  Just a few things this week, mostly dealing with competitions so onto   

it.

BattleTeams:

Firstly, just some news on battleteams. Pandragon squadron is still open,

so if you think you can make this squadron an active one, send in an

application to myself and QUA Reaper ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]).

Also, I have found out that neither myself nor Reaper can join a

battleteam...dammit :P CMDR Enahropes of Apocalypse has made a new website,

which can be found at http://apocsquad.minos.net/

Competitions:

Firstly, the Sith Wars. Attached is a basic outline of how out battleplan

will look like. Thanks to QUA Reaper for the pretty graphics and nice

layout of the information. More information shall be added to it, including

the new layout for objective 2, gfx for obejctive 2 as well as projected

enemy tactics and our own losses/worst case scenario for both objective's.

Any comments or sugesstions are still being taken. RIght now, the only

other event taking place is the MP Ladders, so go pick a fight with someone!

Also, our competition against House Tridens is still going on. You have

until the end of this month to get your submissions in. The battles are

DB-TIE 11, DB-XvT 4 and DB-XWA 2. All submissions go to Reaper. Also, I
