Greetings Tarentum,

A rather busy week, with the nearing the finalizing points of the trials, and all the competitions going on including the Sith Wars, the battleboard comp with some of the Krath, and several internal competitions within each of the houses as well.

The less fortunate news, with the departure of Striker, Tridens is without a Quaestor, though a problem that should be solved within the next day or so, pending the approval of the MAA. On a similar note, Striker will be returning to Tarentum, though despite his request it will not be possible for him to return to his position, though his input did help finalize my decision on who the next Quaestor shall be. Stay tuned. ;)

Also, our Gladius Quaestor will be on leave for a period of three weeks. This leaves Aedile Hades in charge. Please be sure to contact him directly when dealing with matters of the house. Otherwise, battleteams leaders and of course the Clan Summit will also be here to answer anything that may arise.

Things seem a little awkward right now, though I expect there will be no problems continuing on in our progress with activity and competition levels. As soon as I receive the final word from Cestus I will be mailing the clan with a basically final plan for the trials. At which point, the finer details of several newly suggested events will be worked out -- and hopefully soon after we can finally put these into place and see how things go. Greetings Gladius,

Quite a few things going on in our own little corner of the Galaxy, though not much anywhere else for once ;)

News!!!

As you all know, our QUA, KAP Sith Bloodfyre is on leave for three weeks. All though this came on suddenly, its no cause for alarm. Well, okay maybe alittle cause he left me in charge ::evil grin:: His absence shouldnt impact us too greatly. We are a very well aquianted group and we know what we're doing, or atleast acting like we do very convincingly.

Also, we lost another friend, Knight Camille. One of the brightest stars in the Gladius sky, his contributions to all of the DB and to the Clan and House will be sorely missed. Our hearts and prayers go out with you my friend.

Though we loose two members, we gain two as well :). I want everyone to please welcome into Gladius, NOV Rage Akaido. She finished the Shadow Academy last week, but the highers ups didnt feel it necissary to email myself or anyone else that she actually got the transfer in. But she is on our roster online and that works for me :) Please, everyone make her feel at home. She's a good friend of mine. NOV Akaido, id like to invite you to join one of the Gladius Battle Teams.. The Wizards of the Crypt or the Mystics of the Black Arts. Both have excellent leaders and both will be able to get you aquainted with your new surroundings. If you want to contact one or both of the Tetrarch, KAP Kodiak and KP Telona Murrage respectively. Welcome to Gladius Novice :)

Also joining our House is JH Murkrow Defender. Murkrow comes from our brothers in the Sith house of Tarentum, House Tridens. Murkrow is a very well known member of Tarentum especially on the Message Boards. Murkrow, as I said with NOV Rage Akaido, (if you havent already) I invite you to join one of the battle teams. Since you are new to the Krath way of life, the TETs can get you orginized and ready to go. Please talk with one of them soon if you are interested in joining :)

And in other news, the role playing idea is really starting to take form. Protector Praiv is trying to categorize the Dark Jedi powers which is a big undertaking. We are also figuring out how exactly to use those powers and how effective they are due to a member's rank within the DB. Its not a fast process, but its a great thing to watch. I am not totally sure how long this will take, but I DO know that in the end, it will be all worth it :)

You can STILL get in on the monthly topic, belive it or not. Go to the News page on the DB website and check out the requirements for the Story part or the Poem part. Please get a submission in to either one. If two more people from us or the other Krath houses send it stories the winner will get a big medal ;P So take a look, and start writing :) Its an easy topic.. "War".. Aka family get-togethers.. oh wait, thats just mine..

Activity Reports-

You guys are going to have to give me a week's buffer on thease. I DO know that every one of you has sent me an email in the past week, so your all off the hook :P But I encourage you to IM me if you see me online or drop by the Message Boards, here and the EH one. You can find me there :) Also, since everyone DID email last week, or atleast CCed me on something, it wouldnt be too hard to do it again this week would it? I didnt think so. Lets try to make this a natural thing from now on, okay? Good.

I have to email Sith about the points he awards everyone for the various things each member does. Im not sure about his "system" and current point totals. I didnt get that from him yet, but I should by next weekend.

Speaking of next weekend, Ill probably be getting the report out early, say thursday night, for the fact of I will be going to Celebration 2 in Indinapolis. It promises to be a very fun event, as long as it dont rain like crazy again :P I might be able to check email Friday and saturday, but no guarentees ;)

Okay, thats it for me as far as I can tell. This wasnt the best structured report I've ever done, but I'm at work right now. But should be alot better by thursday.

Okay activity has been on the rise this week I have played some of you online nice to see the new members putting in a lot of JK practise as well, hopefully the acivity within Cestus will continue to grow.

COMPETITIONS

Okay as you should all be aware the OHC`s competition is planned again for Saturday 27th April in the IRC channel #Obelisk at 3:00pm EST.

The competition will be 2v2 on JK1 and JK2.

8 players for each platform are needed last week not many turned up from around the clan so lets show the OHC that House Cestus have a keen interest in competitions.

I myself will be planning a House Cestus competition as soon as I have cleared a back log of work so if you guys let me know what sort of competition you want I will try to accomodate everyones wishes.

Okay good news after discussion with NOV Talon Zetar he has offered me use of his webspace so that we can actually get our long overdue website on the net, a selfless act which I will be rewarding.

I will be paying for my own webspace soon from Hephaestus Designs, but I will need to convince the wife to let me have more money :)

Okay I will need to book my leave as I will be away on a military exercise for 3 weeks (RL) so from the 9th of May I will be away for three weeks.

So DJK Darkov will be handling the running of the House while I am away.

JK NEWS

Okay I would like all members to have a copy of the patch SBX v3.1 available from www.massassi.net you will also need to get JK Patch Commander from www.jediknight.net .

Its a good patch for JK1 and enjoyable to play.

JK2 editor out for all you budding level designers out there.

The editor includes: JK2Radiant - the map editor, MD3View - model viewer for .md3 format models, ModView - model viewer for .glm (Ghoul2) format model, ShaderEd2 - the shader editor/viewer, and sof2map - the map compiler, which is only used via JK2Radiant. Below is the link.

I also need to know what JK platforms you all own and what styles you prefer to play so I can add a profiles page to the website.

Your QUA had a copy of JK2 in his hands today but when I asked the sales assistant if it was multilanguage he told me that it was only in German imagine my dissapointment the QUA nearly cried.

I will be driving to Holland tomorrow as I know that there version will support English, lets hope the shop has it.
