Dark Greetings Tarentum,

This week has seen the appointment of Tridens' new Quaestor, Sith Battlord

Domi! Congratulations to him. I'm confident that with both Domi and Torres

leading Tridens, things will run excellent. =)

Tarentum summits have recently been discussing the status of battleteams, who

should be in them, their status (elite or otherwise), if there should be

certain requirements placed on teams to join or not, etc. Though recently

there has been another more DB-wide proposal surrounding battleteams that is

slightly different, though nothing solid has been decided yet. Just like

everyone to be aware that there may be some considerable changes surrounding

the battle teams in the near future.

As for the trials, I have recieved Cestus' plans for each event of their

trial, so now every house in Tarentum basically knows what the trials will

be, and are now ironing out the finer details for each event. Expect to see

those trial plans within this week, hopefully sooner than later.

As per the suggestion of Protector Orin Williamson of Gladius, the topic of

I personally think it's a good idea and look forward to hearing all, yes,

Greetings Consul Ciara, ProConsul Proton, Aedile Torres and House Tridens

First off, thank-you very much for your words of support. Aedile Torres,

you most of all, I respect and appreciate the fine job you have done since

becoming Aedile of the House. With your continued support, I think we can

build something pretty special here. Personally speaking, I would like to

see us build a supreme Sith House. I also think that, with the base we

have, and some aggressive recruiting, this goal is very attainable.

Aedile Torres, I know you are an experienced command office from having

served under you aboard the Challenge. Thus, I know I can count on just as

Striker did, to perform your duties in nothing less than exemplary fashion.

Second, I want to apologize for not getting this out sooner. Things have

been a little hectic in RL and well, you know.

Anyhow, I really want to thank Aedile Torres for running the House so well.

I also want all of you pilots out there in House Tridens to know that Aedile

Torres has my full support. When he "asks" you to do something, I would

appreciate you doing it.

As for the decision to close HammerHead temporarily, just look at the

numbers. There are what? 18 of us in te House, including AED Torres, RM

Clark and myself. That effectively leaves us with 15 pilots, not enough to

justify two active squadrons if all of you were active in every area, let

alone the fact that I haven't seen any evidence of activity other than the

occassional e-mail from some of you, since I've been here.

I would rather have one fully operational squadron, filled with active and

eager pilots than two half-hearted attempts at squadrons.

Over the past while there has been some talk of a change in the way Tridens,

with a bow towards the Clan Summit and Sith High Warrior Yacks, views the

status of the battleteam. With so much work being put into the Sith Trials,

something which I think have been long overdue, I thought the next logical

step for these highly trained Dark Side specialists would be into

specialized and elite battleteams, regardless of the Order. With that in

mind, all BattleTeams are now designated as elite within House Tridens. In

order to apply for admission to a BattleTeam, the candidate must at least

have graduated from the Shadow Academy or have the rank of PRT and have

taken the SITH Core courses. Unless otherwise stipulated only the

BattleTeams are eligible for any DB-wide or even House vs House

competitions. Thus these members will have greater chance for glory and

reward than those who serve the House in a different manner.

However, having a spot in a BattleTeam must be earned and held. It is not

an appointment for life. Each month all pilots within the House will be

given the opportunity to earn a spot on the BattleTeam through a

multi-platform competition. The top performers for each competition will

comprise the next month's BattleTeam. Now, rewards will be given at this

stage as well for overall House activity etc. However, those that earn a

spot on the BattleTeam will have a chance to earn extra rewards.

Now, just as a BattleTeam position offers great reward, it also demands

great cost. Members applying for BattleTeam membership must sign an Oath of

Activity which stipulates that the member agrees to participate in all

current competitions or have good reason why they are unable to participate,

or risk immediate expulsion from the team at the sole discretion of the

BattleTeam CMDR. There is an appeal to the House Summit and then the Clan

Summit, should a member feel they been treated unfairly.

The BattleTeams themselves are the dominion of the CMDR. The CMDR will

decide who holds what position because it is the CMDR's responsibility to

get the team prepared to fight, but more importantly to win. I am not

interested in our House simply being good sports and taking part. I want to

win! On the other hand, the CMDR will answer if things go awry. Such is

the nature of command. :P

Ok, that covers the BattleTeams I think.

I just want to emphasize, however, that no matter what organiational

structure we use, this House can only succeed if each of us dedicate

oursleves to that cause. I know some of you haven't been all that active.

Heck, there have been times in my career, which goes back to 1997

by-the-way, when I haven't been as active as I should have been too. That

happens to all of us. But what i want each of you to do tonight, or

whenever you get this, is think about why you joined the Dark Brotherhood

and House Tridens in particular. Unless you were just cruising around one

day, stumbled upon the DB-join site and randomly picked House Tridens, you

all came here for a reason. I simply ask that you reflect on that for a

moment and then ask yourself if that reason is still valid. If it is, then

you need to motivate yourself and get flying. If it isn't, if you no longer

really want to participate, I ask that you leave now. As I said, I am

interested in building something here, and you can't build with a bad

foundation. If you want to be here, I want you here. If you want out, get

out!

This House, heck any organization, can only succeed if its collective

membership is focussed and committed to that cause. I want to build a House

that is strong, active and, most of all, fun. I want to see people in

UnderNet channel #Tarentum, I want to see more House chatter, pilots helping

pilots, on the Tridens mail list, I'd like to see the MBs used more. Even

though I am probably the worst offender :P

So I urge you pilots. Take part. House Tridens is ours to build. Let's

make it a building to remember.

Cestus:

Dark Greetings all

Another week has passed within the DB and I am pleased to announce that

activity is once again on the rise.

So I will get straight on with it as there are a lot of points to cover this

week.

ACTIVITY

I am pleased to report I have seen many of being active and playing JK1 and

JK2 this week.

Also we had a good turnout in the OHC`s competition in #Obelisk but lets not

get complacent there are still other members who could turn up but I am not

going to point any fingers you know how you are.

But overall activity is getting a lot better well done.

quite a few times in the FTF competition and he is a skilled player its good

to see that we now have a lot of good players within the House.

NEW BATTLE TEAM

Okay I have created a second battle team so that we can intergrate JK2 into

House Cestus.

JH Gelton Torr remains the SGT Battalion of Fear, and will be responsible for

JK1 training within his team.

ACO Talon Zetar will be the SGT for Armoured Fist as he has proven his skills

in JK2.

The Dark Hand has recently changed its name and motto to Battalion of Fear -

Inhale - Kill - Exhale.

COMPETITIONS

Okay the OHC is holding another Tourney in #Obelisk today at 3:00pm EST I

would like to see more of you there this week.

I am currently in talks with the OHC and a QUA of another house about a house

v house competition.

I will send you more information when we have finalised the details.

Both platforms will be supported and you will be able to participate in both.

What I need to know is how many of you will be participating and what

platform you will be playing.

So get ready Cestus we are going to war.

I have had a look at the JK2 editor this week and its looks quite complicated

I will be looking at some tutorials when I am away and I will see if I can

get my head around it so I can try to help anyone thats interested.

If anyone has any questions regarding JED the JK1 editor send your questions

to the AED DJK Darkov who is very knowledgeable about creating levels in JK1.

this is your Sarge with his weekly report.

Roster:

Our Battle Team has currently 6 members.At this place I want to congratulate

ACO Talon Zetar for his achievements. Keep up the good work!

(Your Sarge already envies you about so much activity :P)

Comps:

As far as I know there are no special comps this week. But of course there

are the "normal" weekly comps where you can test your skills.

Training:

It seems the last traning I scheduled wasn´t very interesting for you,

because no one exept Zekk appeared. I won´t schedule another one until I

don´t get a reply from all of you in whixh timezone you live and what´s your

favorite day for training is. The only reply I got on this matter until now

was from Talon Zetar.

I finally got my copy of JK II. Therefore I´m from now on able to take part

in comps and training. But give me some time to get used to the new gameplay,

you are at least 3 weeks ahead of me :P

Misc:

I also got only one response for the Battle Team motto from Talon Zetar. If

anyone else doesn´t care about it, I will change it without further notice.

Greetings, Sorry for this blatently late report. I just got back from

Celebration 2 the other day and then i took a day off. But everything is

going good now.

Id like to personnally thank Telona for her hospitality while myself and KAP

Kodiak were in Indianapolis. She was really great and if your ever there and

need an idea for someplace to eat.. she knows the BEST restraunts :) Id also

like to thank Kodiak for letting me tag along with him when we were both

running around Saturday. He was great company and a great friend. Sorry if it

was a bit too hyper though ;P

Anyways! Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones tickets are on sale!!

Well they are here anyways. Get your tickets ASAP!!

Say goodbye to JH Murakow (sp?). He is transfering back into Tridens (Sith).

His stay was short, unfortunately, but we are sorry to see him go. Guess i

have to pick a few members to help clean up the monkey dung he left :P

There is a discussion going around with the DC and the QUA AEDs of every

house in the DB. Ill keep you all posted on that, but it has to do with the

Battle Teams. Stay sharp :)

TETs, Ill be talking to you both this week about trying again with a Battle

Team comp. We need to get everyone active and having a comp that dont take up

much time is the first step to that. If you guys have any ideas for another

one, let me know! :)

The Montly Topic results are STILL not out. Mairin seems to like keeping us

on edge. :P So as soon as she decides to send out the results, ill send them

all your way.

Ive been checking the news page and it seems like there is nothing that has

anything to do with us really. Slow news week I guess.

Id like to thank PRT Praiv Di'Rax for working with the Force Powers for the

role play we are trying to create the basis for. You'll get your reward in

due time ;)

Merit points will be awarded Friday so you all can see where you stand. I am

very sorry about all of this. Im not doing the best job in the world with

thease reports. I have nothing going on this week as far as work or

activities so ill be caught up by friday. Thanks for not trying to chop my

head off.
