Quaestor Report #5 - May 12th, 2002

--House News--

• Work progresses on the House-wide competition and I am discussing a possible feud with House Gladius of Tarentum. I'll let you know more about that soon.

• I'm looking for someone to make a Quaestor page or just a way to post news and reports and the like to a current webpage or whatever. It gets annoying when I have to edit my reports from the .txt file I write them in to fit HTML format and then put them on the page. So, I'd rather just be able to post them. Email me if you're interested and you'll get something for it, I promise.

• <old news>From now on, with reports, I want ALL reports on my desk by Saturday at 11:59 pm est. If you're report is not in I will be very displeased. If it happens more than once, I will seriously think about replacing you. I don't want to do that.

--Clan News--

• Goat is still taking applications for Quaestor of House Primus Goluud. That's our Obelisk house so if anyone has Jedi Knight or Jedi Outcast skills, feel free to apply. If you get the job, good luck, if not, that's cool too. :P

• Alex is still missing. I think I'm going to capitalize on this...Within the next day or so, watch your inbox for a new fiction competition entitled, "Where's the Con?" The best story will get an award, I forget which one is now being used for 1st place in house competitions, but I'll check with fellow Jersian and Chancellor of the DB Shadonyx and he'll tell me. :P

Greetings.

1: New monthly topics are out. The story topic is "Justice", and the poetry topic is "A Tale of the Dark" in the style of a Ballad. Usual rules apply to the story - if you're not sure of them please check with your Summit before submitting. More info on poetry submissions can be found at http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/krath/focus.

2: Results of last month's poetry comp have been released. The results of the story should be out this weekend. My apologies for the delay, but real life is getting exceedingly busy in the run-up to mega-important exams and the EH is having to take a backseat.

3: BattleBoards: those that signed up for this will get an email regarding this this weekend hopefully, with a view to restarting the competition up because we can do so now with the new MBs. :P Now you get the added bonus of Clusters of Fire for winning battles so there's even more reason to take part. Those that haven't signed up yet and want to can still do so at http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/krath/bb but you'll only have until midnight EST on Saturday to do that otherwise it'll be too late.

4: You may notice my IRC time being cut back a bit in the next few weeks. Again, this is because I have important exams coming up and I need to put in some heavy duty revision time. You will still be able to get in touch with me normally via emails and MBs, and I will try to put in at least two hours a day on IRC still.

• Combat Rooms are open, feel free to challenge someone, but make sure you tell me or Bob so we can judge your fight.

• Any comp suggestions can be sent to me, no matter how crazy they are....we need to generate activity and fun and crazy seems to be doing that so far :P
