** House Caliburnus Aedile's Report #2: 6/8/2002**

Introduction:

Well, its been a bit of a slow two weeks for me, primarily because I was sick for most of it, but I've some interesting news to report nonetheless. Specifically, the house website is still coming along well, and I hope to have it released some time soon. The house training program, mentioned by DM in his report, can also be seen in a slightly more permanent format at: http://caliburnus.minos.net/training.php

Finally, if you were wondering why this report is slightly late, I was volunteering at a 24 hour relay charity event, which, as the name suggests, took up a large chunk of time.

News:

Headlines:
- The biggest news this week is that DGM Astatine has begun work on the next DB-wide Vendetta. In doing so, he has declared a need for mission designers.If you are skilled in making battles for TIE Fighter, XvT, X-Wing Alliance and/or levels for Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast, email [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. If you're interested, list what platform or platforms you'd like to help with, and if possible, supporting evidence of your ability. You'll probably have to work to a very tight, very rigorous schedule, so keep that in mind.
- It appears that Astatine has been quite busy this week, as he also finalized a large update of the Dark Side Compendium. It's recommended that all members read it and get familiar with these new changes.
**House Training Program: **The house training program is nearly complete. As mentioned above, it can be seen at http://caliburnus.minos.net/training.php. If you are interested in beginning the training, as laid out in the page, please contact the house summit and inform us of such. Also, we would like to hear any questions or comments that you might have.

House Web Page: - The web page is around 3/4 complete, with a large part of the dynamic content in place. - I am still interested in any graphic volunteers. If you are interested, I've got some specific tasks that I need done, so please contact me to volunteer. If I do use your work, I will be sure to acknowledge and reward it.

**Activity Levels: **Just a quick note on personnel status. As this is a very busy time for many people, we have quite a number of people on leave.

Competitions:

Recruitment Poster Competition: After much talk across the more senior members of the DB it has been decided that each House and Clan should have a recruitment poster. All these posters will be held as part of the SA with new members getting opportunity to see in a picture what is great about each Clan and House. A poster than within one glance makes you want to join HDS, HAD, or HC.

This all means we need four posters. You don't have to do more than one, and can stick with your own House if you want, but that does not mean that you cannot give something for Acclivis Draco if you are a member of Caliburnus. In terms of House poster content, there are no limits at all except that it has to have the name of the House on it somewhere. For the Clan poster, we need something dark and menacing that has someone from each order on it. Anything else goes. Hand-drawn, computer generated, anything at all.

Of course there will be nice shiny medals for the winners of each House's poster, and a medal for the creator of the Clan poster, and the more people contribute the better. If loads of people take part then it is possible to get medals for everyone, not just the winners. So if you are going to take part then get kicking ass of all those around you and get them to come up with something as well.

Quaestor's Flying Competition: As was announced in the QUA report, a small house competition is currently running. The goal is to fly <font face="Times New Roman">XWA Free mission 2 **and XVT Free mission 44*. ***Submissions should be sent to the QUA, AED, and RM. Medals will be given out to the top 3 scorers. Furthermore, the battle team which shows the most participation will be selected to represent the house at the end of the month in a SP competition. </font>
Fiction Competition: I'm currently working on getting an interesting fiction competition approved. I know that we are not Krath to typically partake in such activities, but this will be for the entire clan, and I think it will be quite enjoyable and interesting to participate in.
