Sith High Warrior Report

Sith Order Report for the Week Ending Friday August 23, 2002.

Well, it’s 5:30 AM, I can’t sleep, and I just rewatched the first three disks of Neon Genesis Evangelion. I’m dead tired, and I am pissed at my friend for only loaning me three, and not the whole box set. Anyways, I guess I’ll do the report now :P

1) TOP PRIORITY: Sith Squadron League- Submissions due Saturday at 11:59 pm, Eastern Standard Time. The competition utilizies TIE Free Mission 106 -- “The Courtship of Callista”. Download this from the Emperor’s Hammer Battle Board and get playing ladies and gentlemen! Submissions are to be emailed to your CMDR, AED, QUA, and my Magistrate SBL Hades ([Log in to view e-mail addresses])

2) TOP PRIORITY: One day left to get TOP GUN missions in. I hope you’ve all been hoarding results away, because as it is, I don’t think the second stage of this competition will be able to happen. For those of you who HAVE participated, I’ll find something for you guys, don’t worry.

3) Still awaiting news on the two Sith Order Courses that are on the Headmaster’s Desk.

4) The framework has been started for a new organization within the Sith Order, that will hopefully bring a lot more life to us. I can’t say much more than that, except that both myself, and Grandmaster Firefox are very excited about this.

5) Addendum to Last Weeks Report: I said that you would buy 1 Flight of Fighters with Industrial Points… Aedile Murkrow Defender of House Tridens then pointed out to me, just how insane I was. Basically he put it down to having a Squadron earn 140 points for a decent fighter, they’d need to win 14 competitions. To earn three flights, you’d need to earn 420 points, or run 42 competitions, and even if all the comps were 1 week long, with no time inbetween, and participation was high enough, that would take nearly a year. Obviously this isn’t acceptable, and thus, it’s been raised again to one Squadron per Industrial Points Usage.

6) I’ve been kicking around the idea of starting up a General XvT/XWA ladder for the DB, but I don’t think that’s too plausible, seeing just how bad the participation in Top Gun has been. If you think it is a worthwhile endeavour, please email me.

7) QUAs/AEDs, I’m working on a manual that outlines what I expect from you guys in terms of Communication within your Houses, I’ll let you know more as I complete it.

8) QUAs/AEDs: If you are anything like me, you’re starting to get sick of running competitions for others, that you are unable to participate in. This is why I’m working on a couple small comps just for the Sith Command Staff :)

9) Squadron Commanders: Please note, that if you wish to earn industrial points for any Squad vs. Squad activities, you must mail me in advance.

10) A belated congrats to DJK Kane Reese of House Caliburnus, who recently was appointed Aedile, and a more recent congrats to SBL Pel of House Tridens, who was promoted to Sith Battlelord after an impressive recommendation by his Quaestor, and then one by myself, good work Pelly.

11) Melee Night Hosting: I bitched and moaned at other people about this long enough, and it turns out, I’ve been just as bad at it. We had a couple really good nights to start off these two new Multiplayer Nights, and then activity dropped off drastically, though Sith Duel Night seems to be doing a lot better than Sith Bloodlust. Bloodlust is in a large part, my own fault, as I’ve been missing my hosting duties due to various other Real Life ones. As such, I’ll be looking for a backup host or two for all Sith Order events, just to make sure we always get our comps on time :)

12) There has recently been a lot of confusion by the TIE Corps Competition Hosts about Clusters of Fire being awarded for JK/JK2, rest assured, you DO get CFs for those victories, and that Kyle Katarn, the new COO and I are working together to make sure the hosts KNOW where to send those results to. In case any of you hosts are reading this email, all JK/JK2 scores regardless of events are to be mailed to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]

And I’m spent.

Fly Fast and Shoot Straight,

Sith High Warrior,

Dark Adept Keirdagh Cantor
