Greetings Tarentum,

This week has the seen the departure of Tridens' Quaestor Torres who will be

sorely missed, but he has fortunately decided to remain as a member of

Tridens. I will be accepting applications for the position, but as I'd like

to get the decision made fairly quickly, the closing date to get those in

will be this Friday. Speaking of Tridens, congratulations to the squadrons in

Tridens who recently made it past the qualifying rounds in the Sith Squadron

League. Good work. =)

Tridens and Gladius have started the Master/Apprentice system, and with

Quaestor Ziguarath back, hopefully Cestus will get started as well. This

system will work in collaboration with the Trials which should begin within

another a week or so. A reminder to all Trial Masters, I need to see your

completed plans before you start any of it within your houses. I'm in good

contact with most of you, but I still need to hear from Tridens.

Also, as I was writing this, Aedile Murkrow came to me with an idea for House

Holocrons, which, from what I gather would basically be a collection of works

relating with that house, including all the house's past victories, house and

battleteam run-ons, perhaps also stories written by master/apprentice teams

detailing the apprentice's assension to Knighthood. The works would likely be

kept by the Quaestor (or another position the QUA decides) and put on the web

or some such for easy storage and display. I see great potential for the idea

and while it may only start within Tridens, I'd urge other Houses to consider

the idea and see what they think. =)

Firstly I am aware that my decision comes with little warning to everyone,

especially MD, Proton and Ciara. If it hadnt been for their help during my

time as Quaestor, I'm sure things would be different. Having said that, I'm

sure you are all guessing what I'm talking about.

Simple. Effect immediately, I'm stepping down as Quaestor of House Tridens.

I have always been proud of leading this great House and always tried to

help everywhere needed, but in recent times, I have found my dedication

somewhat less then satisfactory (for me). I believe a leader should not ask

those under his command to do something he is unwilling to do himself and I

fear as time goes, so will me dedication. Hence my decision.

Until a new Quaestor is appointed, I ask MD to lead Tridens as Acting-QUA

and that the BattleTeam Commanders help out. My recommendation for QUA is

AED Murkrow Defender whose record clearly speaks for itself, but as always

the final decision to apply for the position is his and I will respect his

decision.

Onto matters for this week.

The Feud results are finally out and although Tridens did come last, it was

not to a lack of activity. Unfortunately, Arcona had simply better pilots

then us on the day, but we proved we are a house to contend with. So thank

you to everyone who participated and congrats to Ace Hobbes for earning 2nd

place in the XWA SP and a big congrats to MD for earning 1st place in the

Space BattlePlan. I must point out that House Gladius kicked butt! Their

big victory in the Krath Section was helped by an outstanding performance by

Consul Ciara who earned 50 points...more then the entire Arcona Krath House!

Congrats to BubbaX and about bloody time Ciara got rewarded for her efforts

No new members arrived, courses completed or departures.

Sith Squadron League Round 2 Results arrived and my only concern was that

not everyone in HH participated. That aside both HH and SZ have proven to

be formidable opponents and I hope that more pilots from both BTs will

participate in the 3rd round.

3rd Round Mission is XWA Free Mission #4. Hurry up as it ends on 7th.

We have another run-on happening, thanks to MD :P And so far its going good

with a submission from MD (duh), Ciara (Gasp :P) and Raganosh (Yipee). It's

on the message board so do atleast one submission...and yes medals for the

last run-on will be handed out!

Having done all the week's business, my little farewell speech :P Anyway I

would like to thank the following:

MD for his efforts in supporting Tridens. I can remember when I first

noticed him with his damn monkeys and Wil chasing after them with an axe. I

think his time in Gladius was a wake-up call because upon his return he

started to prove himself one of the most active people around.

Pel and Vortoq. Their efforts, which sometimes seem to go unrewarded, have

now shown their targets with the recent standings of both HammerHead and

Sub-Zero BattleTeams. In particular Pel has proven to be an asset to

Tridens with building HH into an active BattleTeam and I only hope that the

others will follow their examples.

VinDoros, Domi and Frey. Each has helped in their unique way with Frey

proving his dedication by participating straight after transfering over and

keeping a good level of activity. Domi for his efforts both before and

after being QUA in helping out and still finding time to do something in the

run-on. VinDoros joined us back around the start of May and shocked

everyone with a high level of activity. These days his main contribution is

an XWA course which I hope everyone will use once its up and running.

The rest of House Tridens. The fact that I dont mention anyone else's name

is not because I dont remember you, but that you all have contributed

something special to this House. Keep up the good work, do as many comps as

possible and enjoy yourselves!

As for my future in the DB, I only ask to remain Tridens while I think about

it for the next few days.
