Dark Greetings Tarentum,
As most of you should be aware by now, the newest Quaestor of Tridens is Dark
Jedi Knight Murkrow Defender. Congratulations to him, and good luck to those
applying for the Aedile position. Thanks to everyone for their patience in
this recent change in leadership as well, trying to get everyone sorted out
to set the best people in place to lead Tridens onward.
And, I've finally come to the conclusion that it may be advantageous to start
the Trial Systems individually as the houses get prepared. Be reminded
though, that before your house may implement the trials, your Trial Master
must first clear all his/her plans with me first. Currently, only House
Gladius may begin using the trials, as they have been prepared and have
cleared everything with me for some time. I look forward to working with the
houses in this system as it gets started. =)
From that, Master/Apprentice system, this has been started in both Gladius
and Tridens, and just waiting on the Quaestor of Cestus to get started in his
house. Contact your house summits for those member who have volunteered to
take on apprentices if you are interested. =) On that same note, while our
master/apprentice teams are relatively new. . .this may give more incencitive
to get a team set up and ready for something. Taking from the DB news:
MASTER-STUDENT COMPETITION 3: "THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!"
Posted by KE Cuchulain - 9/18/2002 [9:44:58 AM]
(Posted on behalf of DJK Death)
Ladies and Gentlemen, Krath, Obelisk, and Sith, Low-rankers and High-rankers,
Masters and Students, you are all very welcome to sign up for

This is the ultimate competition for Master-Student pairings. In this
competition Masters and Students will have to work their way together through
7 tasks to win the competition, get nice medals and be listed as the best
Master-Student Team in the DB!
This first DB-wide MS competition unfortunately only features Krath events
but all Orders are invited to have their teams sign up and to participate, so
you Obelisk and Sith teams can get the chance to show that you can beat the
Krath on their own territory. The next DB-wide competition will cater for all
Clans and teams will be able to gain points in all DB aspects.
If you have questions or want to sign up, you can find my e-mail addy and the
information needed to sign up on the MSC3 page
(http://www25.brinkster.com/muertevip/msc/iii/ ), or for questions use the
message-board, found in the DB section of the main EH message boards, or drop
me an email (mailto:[Log in to view e-mail addresses]). While email may be a little
faster, using the MB means that other people with the same question will see
it there rather than me getting the same mail over and over again
The deadline for signing up is the 20th of October. This gives you all time
to organise Master Student Pairings if you are not already in one, and
prepare yourself for the ultimate experience! =P
DJK Death
Sounds like it could be interesting and will hopefully help head-start some
of our new master/apprentice teams. =)
I know what you all were probably thinking. Well, maybe thinking. You
might've been thinking, "Sithie isn't going to get of his lazy [insert
expletive here] and write up a report. AGAIN!" ;) Or maybe you were thinking,
"Yes!! I don't have to report a report this week either!" Well, bah to any
thoughts like that. =) I'm just playing. Sorry, life has been wierd. For some
reason, my insomnia has gotten worse, and I've been very lethargic lately,
I've been trying to convince myself to have energy. Today, I think I finally
got a foot in the door, so to speak. So, onto the report!
A quick note before I get to the House business. As you all know, this week
marked the one year anniversary to mark the tragic loss of life at the World
Trade Centers (New York), The Pentagon (Washington, D.C.), and (I forget the
town name, I apologize), but the fourth plane that went down that day,
killing all aboard. The loss of life of the WTC collapse and crashes from the
airliners alone was 3,000+/-. I find it odd that, if I can recall that day a
year ago clearly enough, this one year anniversary hit me harder than the
dreaded day these attacks occured. It was a tender day for me, as I am sure
it was for the rest of you. let us never forget. Let us never diminish our
resolve to fight, not for countries, not for flags, not for holy wars, but
for our children, for future generations. Let us make sure we honor the
memory of those who have fallen before us in the slaughter of innocents, and
do what we can as a people not united by skin color, flags, or any such other
minor details, rather, united as a people of one race, the human race... let
us do what we can as people united in the human race to make this world the
place where all our children, whether we have them currently, or still wait
to bring them into this world, let us do what we can that they might not know
enmity between man, but peace and harmony. I apologize if I seem preachy, but
this day truly touched me, and I want you all to know I value your friendship
highly, as you have supported me in times past and present, and you will all
be endeared to me by such actions for all my days.
Now, onto business.
We saw the loss recently of Jaya Cypher. She returned to Rogues while she
finishes school (IRL). She will be missed, but hopefully her talents will
return to us soon.
We also saw another of our House promoted to DJK for reward of his
perserverance, and dilligence. Jason Hunter now bears the rank of Knight.
Congratulations Jason. You truly deserved this.
Many others of you, I believe, are deserving of rewards for your efforts and
outstanding performances recently, particulary in the three-way Clan Feud.
Needless to say, while I realize I am oft times slow in giving rewards (for
which I do apologize), I recognize many of your efforts. However, I am not
perfect. If you feel I have overlooked things, or perhaps I just need a kick
in the rear to get my butt in gear, feel free to email me. It's always open,
24/7, and I always like getting email from everyone.
The Master/Apprentice system has been 'started' in unity of a sort with the
Trials program. Potential masters have volunteered, and for those of DJK or
above, you may opt to become a Master. Those at JH or below, you can ask to
Apprentice yourselves to one of these Masters, who will teach you what they
can to help you on your paths towards darkness, expertise, and yes, even rank
advancement. Willing Masters are:
Kodiak Tonaloc, Aari Nikus, Kidouses, Hades, Jason Hunter, Sith Bloodfyre
(yes, believe it or not, lil ol' me is in the lineup too), and even our own
CON, Ciara Tearnan, if need be. Get in touch with one of these individuals,
or myself and/or Hades, and perhaps we can help you find a potential Master
with which you would want to seek out an Apprenticeship. From now on, I'll
maintain listing the Masters in the House Reports, and whether or not they
are currently training an apprentice, or if they are open, so those desiring
to know, can know. Sound fun?
On another issue, Kodiak has decided, due to reasons of his own, that he is
going to step down as TET of the Wizards. He's agreed to stay on as long as
needed, until a replacement can be found, but I know it will be easier on him
to find a successor, and this gives the perfect opportunity to certain
individuals looking to show off leadership skills, lead the next generation,
or even other such rewards. coughpromotionspossiblycough Anyone wanting to
succeed Kodiak as the Wizards Tetrarch, email Kodiak, Hades, and myself with
an application. Nothing too big, just basically a "Hi, I'd like to do it.
This is where I'd like to go with it. Thanks. Bye." kind of little email.
Nothing too hard. but hopefully, maybe someone out there would like to see
what they can do with a phyle in their hands. Sound intriguing?
The bar is now closing. All drunks will be unceremoniously tossed at the
doorstep in five minutes. Thank you.
Still awaiting the GJW with anticipation. But, as we've no word on when it
will be prepared, there are other things going on. We still have the
September House competition going on. It's based around a "schoolyard" theme,
with Gladius members being "de-aged", and the House basically ending up like
a schoolyard of sorts. There are many possibilities, actually. I'm rather
tired, so I'll remember to email you all again with the details for the comp,
so anyone needing them will have them. But, everyone should know about it by
now, and hopefully you're all working on it.
And, I think this looks like a good place to leave off. Sithie's heading to
bed. Wouldn't the world be a nice place if we could all drink a glass of
cocaine tea leaf tea, and just slip into a mild coma, and get the rest that
we need? =) I'm playing. Sleep deprivation toys with Sithie's mind. But,
here's a final note to think about. Have you ever wondered why you don't hear
news headlines, like... "Psychic wins lottery, picks winning horse in race
too!"?? Makes you think, doesn't it... ;)
Until next time Gladius. Remember. Keep your hands and arms inside the car at
all times during the ride.
