 <p class="report">The Phyle's monthly competition continues on. The deadline is September 30th. The topic is Specter of the Past.  <p class="report">No promotions this week, although some of you are very close to a promotion. Continue to work on the tasks assigned by former Tetrarch J'Lek Arcanos and you'll be well on your way to a new rank and a clean set of robes.</p>

 <p class="report">The Dark Voice is always open to submissions, and it's a quick way to a Dark Side Scroll, or, if you're lucky, maybe even a Dark Cross. Old entries from a former Phyle, House or Clan competition make great entries into the Dark Voice, so submit something!</p>

 <p class="report">For those of you who actually _care_ Clan Scholae Palatinae won the Feud between it and Clan Satal Keto 523 to 488. A close call, probably due to lack of participation, hm...</p>

 <p class="report">Tirna Q'jira felt very strange. Perhaps even uncomfortable. It was her first report as Tetrarch, and it somehow didn't feel right. Even the cool blue waters that brushed the glass not feet from her did nothing to soothe the troubled Guardian.</p>

 <p class="report">As she walked down the alien halls she had forced herself to learn lest she got lost, she watched as other members of her House scurried to and fro to destinations unknown. She sighed, and took a deep, calming breath. At least Ktulu was back with them.</p>

 <p class="report">"Ktulu," she murmured under her breath, pondering. He had but one last task to complete before he would be eligible for promotion. She smiled. It would be good to promote someone.</p>

 <p class="report">It was with this thought in mind she reached her destination, her cloak billowing out behind her as she pushed the doors open and entered the meeting hall for her Phyle. "Greetings Tyros," she called as she entered. "I see for once you are all present." A few chuckled at her abstract joke.</p>

 <p class="report">She smiled and nodded to them before stepping up onto the dais that struck her as being very similar to the ones back in Dragon Keep and Diablo Keep, the two former halls of House Acclivis Draco. "First of all," she grinned, "I would like to welcome an old member back into our ranks. Ktulu, we welcome you with open arms and hope that you exceed in all you do.</p>

 <p class="report">"Second, I would like to remind everyone that simply because we moved it does not mean you are allowed to forget the Phyle's monthly competition. I expect something from all of you, be it good or bad. I cannot help you improve if I do not know your weak points.</p>

 <p class="report">"For those of you not aware the topic this month is 'Specter of the Past'. It is expected that you write a short story telling about an event which has happened to you which has somehow affected who you are today. I hope that it is something that has drastically affected you, but it can be small and subtle, if you wish. More details, as always, can be found on the [Ebon Cloak holosite](http://www.geocities.com/Ebon_Cloak_Phyle/)."</p>

 <p class="report">She glanced through the six gathered Tyros. "We are but half strong, but I know that if we work together we can do great things. It is with this in mind I wish us to take up the task that our Quaestor, Mejas, has set before us. For the honor of our House and Phyle I expect you all to participate in the Vendetta against House Ektrosis. The first phase is already out, and I would like for us to collaborate our efforts through the Phyle's [mailing list](http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EbonCloakPhyle/), so that we remain in easy communication with each other.  <p class="report">"There have been no promotions this week, though I hope to see some soon. I want you all to continue working on the tasks assigned to you by your previous Tetrarch." She glanced at Novice Locke. "Novice Locke, I believe it's been nearly three weeks since the Dark Adept sent you your Rite of Passage. I hope you will finish it soon."</p>

 <p class="report">She turned back to the other Tyros. "Most of you are but a step away from promotion, and I know many of you would like to attain a new rank, because most of you have held your current one for far too long.  I promise you, if you complete the requirements set forth on the Ebon Cloak holosite, you will be promoted. I will see to it personally if I must.</p>

 <p class="report">"As some of you may know, I received a Dark Cross for my submission to the Dark Voice, which earned the place of Story of the Issue. My submission won a House competition a few months back, and even they thought it was good, so it just goes show that things you submit to your House and Phyle competitions can also be submitted to the Dark Voice as well." She smiled. "At the very least you'll get a Dark Side Scroll, and it shows that you're active within the Brotherhood.</p>

 <p class="report">"For those of you who are curious, I do have other competitions being planned. It is my hope that I can offer something everyone may participate in. There will also be activities that, while they do not earn medals, they may count towards your promotion in the future, so stay sharp and be aware of change."</p>

 <p class="report">She glanced through her notes. "On a final note the results for the Feud between Clan Scholae Palatinae and Clan Satal Keto were finally released, with our Clan winning it 523 to 488. A close call, but we won nonetheless. My congratulations to those who walked away with medals.</p>

 <p class="report">"That is all I have this week, and hopefully next week I can announce at least one promotion." She smiled once more to the assembled. "Enjoy the rest of your evening and be sure to get plenty of rest. The Vendetta between our House and Ektrosis will certainly be challenging without it. Dismissed."</p>

 <p class="report">And with that the newly appointed Tetrarch slipped out of the meeting hall, feeling much relieved now that her first report was over. Over, and had went well...</p>
