HOUSE NEWS(Otherwise known as J`Rai's bitch and moan section):

The 2nd round of the combat tournament will be delayed until I sort things out. Figaro, if you can get in touch with me before you go back to school, that would be greatly appreciated.

I still haven't gotten weekly updates from anyone, so this leaves me to only one alternative. Actually, either way, we'd be doing this: AWOL Check! Yay, let's have some fun. MaiMai and the rest of the krath order are performing AWOL checks every month. This'll keep you from slacking off. Now, here's what you gotta do for me to keep from being AWOL'd:

• First, you gotta respond with a "hey, i'm not awol" type email, sent to me, tomaas and what the hell, flood goatboy's inbox too.

• Second, you need to submit a story. No poem, no song lyrics, IT MUST BE A FICTION. atleast 1 page in length, 12 pt font, NO DOUBLE SPACING. if you send it to me and it's doublespaced, i will ignore it. whether or not i choose to tell you that i threw it in the garbage will depend on my mood at the time i recieve it.

• Third, umm...make sure the subject says "AWOL Check for September"

Listen up, Figaro has resigned from the position of Night Hawk Tetrarch. Now, I am opening this for applications, and I'll repost what i want, with a bit of a modification:

Battleteam Leaders

Required Criteria

• Rank of Protector or higher.

• At least 4 months in the Brotherhood.

• Moderately-high IRC Presence.

• 48hr email response time.

• Prepared for an initial 4 month commitment.

Desirable Criteria

• Rank of Guardian.

• Bi-Daily IRC Presence.

• Enhusiastic, interested and past demonstration of commimtnet to the

Brotherhood. (Namely running of small inner-battleteam sized

competitions).

• Membership within Clan Naga Sadow, either in the past or present.

• Previous leadership experience - Evidence required. (Outside

Brotherhood experience possible to be taken into consideration).

Also, there's a new leadership test at the SA, this is now a requirement for the position. If you haven't taken it, i suggest you do that now, it's not all that time consuming or difficult. in fact, the hardest part would probably have to be the last 2 questions.

Now then, onto better things:

Krath High Priest Report

1: My apologies for there not being a monthly topic this time around. Unfortunately my rl job has proven to be very work intensive and I've spent at least 50% of my working days working 11 hour days, which leaves me with little time out for the DB as well, although I am just about managing to keep even with things at the moment.

2: My Praetor (Cooch, this is a wake-up call...) was supposed to have had the results for August's monthly topic out by now. Since he hasn't, everybody beat him till he sends them out.

3: Next month, at the request of KE Betja Jun, Quaestor of Ektrosis, I will be starting up a monthly run-on as well as monthly fiction and monthly poetry competitions. I would ideally like to see entries from each House, and I will be sending out my guidelines on participation and medals to your leaders shortly, as I need to check them out with KPN Shadonyx first since he up and changed all the requirements. :P These run-ons will purposefully have extremely open topics, but I would like for them to be treated as serious, character-building opportunities. For the future in the Krath Order, a greater aspect of role-playing is certainly going to be more integral than it has been in the past.

4: KP CyberGuy and DA Mejas Doto have been commissioned to work on the new Krath Combat Center. This looks to be an exciting addition to our current facilities, and I must say from the layout I've seen from Mejas so far it looks extremely good. I look forwards to unveiling the finished product as soon as KP CyberGuy has finished coding and uploading the site.

5: Work on the Krath Wargame continues... soon, my younglings... soon... ;)

6: Any Krath Quaestors and Aediles currently not subscribed to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] please subscribe yourselves or speak to me.

7: I'm looking for a new Krath website in all singing all dancing PHP. If you feel you can provide a new layout and/or PHP code, here's your chance. ;) PHPers will need to provide the url of at least one site they have worked on previously, and layouters should just send me their layout, preferably zipped. Winners of the layout design will get nice medals, and the PHP coder of my choice will also get a nice medal. :D You don't have to be Krath to take part, but the site must be purple. That's the only design restriction. :P

THE VISIONS

The HMR Combat Tournament was about to progress smoothly, yet the round is halted with the totally unpredicted resignation of DJK Figaro. You will be missed, my friend.

This leaves the Night Hawks open. Submit apps to me, J'Rai and Goatham (three of us).

The EHTC website shut down by CrystalTech. As a result, GA Ronin appealed to all EH members to withdraw from using any CT services.

KAP J'Rai has completed DB Leadership Studies course. Grats.
