hi all,

here is this weeks report, just in case you belong to those who would like to be kept informed about the latest in clan news!

if you don't belong to this group, then i simply order you to read this report! you don't really think i want the time i put in doing it go to waste do you? :P

first the missing novas for the vendetta:

there will be none despite the approval etc. this has been decided right at the top. so i don't think discussing it much will help in any way! i'll try to find a way to reward those who would have gotten the novas, so just relax and wait!!

any of you who reads the DB news site will see 2 really important items:

first the resignation of DGM Astatine (gl on what you chose to do next), second FF's report! so let's analyze this second one, and see what is so important for csk in it!

"1) I've given it some thought and I've come up with the list of ships that I will give to the 5 Clans who participated in the recent Feuds. Obviously, the 3 way Feud will get slightly better ships overall.

First, the 3 way Feud between Arcona, Tarentum and Naga Sadow. Arcona, as the big winner, will get a Carrack Cruiser. Tarentum will get a Corvette and Naga Sadow is getting a Muurian Transport.

For the Feud between Satal Keto and Scholae Palatinae. Scholae Palatinae earns a Lancer Frigate and Satal Keto gets a Modified Corvette.

unlike other feuds we didn't lose one of our possessions for losing, but we actually got something for the effort we put in it! i think this is the way to go!! :P ok so it is smaller than what csp got but, it is ours none the less! :)

And the modified corvette we got is actually better than a murian transport too! :P (ok this is our second modified corvette, if we keep this up we might end with a fleet of them that could take any cap ship any other clan has , though i would really to get one of them bigger ships sometime :P)

COMPETITION ALERT

2) Recently I've been toying with the idea of giving each Clan some kind of specialty. For example, one Clan could be known for its piloting skills while another could be famous for its saber fighting style. This would merely serve as a role-playing tool though. So, nothing special would be gained from it. The Summits of each Clan should give this some thought and get back to me so we can discuss it. I believe that it might be a fun thing to do.

3) Also, it has been suggested to me by Khobai that it could be useful for the Clans to each have some kind of emblem. Think of it as something small and simple that could be used to represent your Clan on a map. It would be useful to represent clearly which territories you control in an upcoming wargame (not before Christmas at the very least). Once again, I'd like the Clan Summits to give this some thought and contact me.

as you see those two points in FF's report can be used as a base of comps , so i'm starting these! (yup 2 separate comps!)

deadline is in 14 days for both that would be around 13th october.

but i want to make it clear: VERY CLEAR: i need for both of these a minimum 20 submissions from different persons! for each 20 of course!! you think you guys up to it? each participant can send as many entries as he would like, but still TWENTY of our 58 members should take part!! if we have less then the comp simply dies! i'm quite sure none of you would like the work of his brethren go to waste, just cause he too lazy to put something small in!

5) I know I asked for this before, but I mistakenly erased the emails. I'm looking for someone who could help me with a small Galactic Battleground competition. Web design skills are prefered. Contact me ASAP.

you might want to help him with this one, it will earn you and the clan some nice reputation and but us in favor with the GM!

last: as i have myself given some wrong info out when asked about what Crescents to be handed out for which sort of comp (ok so i corrected myself immediately :P) i think you (summits, team commander and every one who wants to run a comp) should pay a closer look to the following as it is not in the DSC yet and was only mentioned in a short post by the CHAN on the DB news site!

Diamond Star (Cr-1D) First in an Brotherhood-wide competition

Ruby Star (Cr-1R) First in Order, Second in Brotherhood

Amethyst Star (Cr-1A) First in Clan, second in Order, third in Brotherhood

Sapphire Star (Cr-1S) First in House, second in Clan, third in Order

Emerald Star (Cr-1E) First in Battle Team, second in House, third in Clan

Topaz Star (Cr-1T) Second in Battle Team, third in House

Quartz Star (Cr-1Q) Third in Battle Team

so max award for a clan-wide comp is the amethyst now, no longer the ruby, and you have that glass medal :P as the smallest award possible. make sure you follow these when you recommend a competition!
