Guard Phyle:_**

The Phyle is underpoing a re-vamp so it'll come out witha new name, new membership,

and be an all around better place - we hope! Corde has been tossing some names

around and will hopefully have selected one and started work on the web-site

this week.If anyone wants to help out Corde please get in contact with him,

I'm sure he'd appreciate someone to work with.

Quaestor/Member Relationship:

I've been speaking with some members of the House and was aksing how my arrival

has effected moral and activity. I've tried to run regular, well structured

and diverse competitions. Running along side these are Phyle and Krath Order

competitions, yet the House seems kind of dead? when I took this position I'd

herad that HAD was an extremely active House and the work being produced is

of a very high quality. The latter is true, your work is excellent, but I don't

seem to see activity apart from that.

I've tried mailing the list and

getting everyone to know me, ask me questions, start discussions and help understand

each other better, but to no avail there was little feedback. I don't want to

harm this House in anyway and if levels have dropped since Sabe stepped down

and I arrived I'd like to know why, what I'm doing wrong?

One member has suggested that I

am too distant from the membership of the House and it can be intimidating to

contact me. Sabe was very close to everyone and they all knew she was there

for them. Well - I AM TOO!!! I tried to start up some discussions and get you

to talk to me and know me. I AMN'T intimidating, I'm quite the opposite. Those

of you who have spoken with me on IRC will hopefully be able to testify that

I am friendly, outgoing, positive and helpful! Contact me at anytime with any

question, let's get talking over the e-group, create a positive working environment

and help motivate ourselves in the tasks we are pursuing.

I'm going to address this issue

again next week and hopefully some comments from you guys and my own findings

will help keep us up to date on how the House is functioning - at present, it's

far from pefect...

_**Thanks to the efforts of Korbane Ashoka and CyberGuy, DV 30 is now out

for viewing pleasure. You can find it here.

by October 25th so they'll be included on the November 1st release. _***Please

**_Phase 1 has been marked and the results were already mailed out, however,

here they are again:

3)Horsemen of the Apocalypse = 19/25

4)Hex = 18/25

5)Ebon Cloak = 12/25

Phase 2 has been launched and

your work. Don't send anything to me yet - I have to speak with Betja and see

who is marking this phase and how we're going to handle it. More news as it

comes...

**_Krath Wide Run-On:

_**As you're all aware "The Vortex" is a run-on being carried

out be every Krath house in the DB. We're 1/3 of the way through the month so

please lets pick up the activity levels in the run-on and don't be afraid to

move the story line onward.

_**Internal Phyle Competitions:

**_While the Dark Allegiance event takes priority above all others, there

are also competition being run within your Phyle by your Tetrarch. These are

a great way to earn yourself further medals and promotions - SO TAKE PART:

DF Phyle: No competition

running at present. Concentrating on Dark Allegiance and The Vortex Run-On.

_DG Phyle: _No competition

running at present. Currently undergoing re-vamp.

_EC Phyle: _The Phyle's monthly

competition carries on. The deadline is October 31st. The topic is "The

Conclusion:

A relatively short report this week due to 2 reasons.

1) Not much more I could have put

in here!

2) I started back at University this week and it's been non-stop! I was working

in a hotel everyday during the summer, I've been there for 5 years this April,

but it's great to be back at Uni!!! Hard work, but good fun! I've not had a

huge amount of time and that's why this report is a day later than usual - apologies

to anyone this may effect.

I was extremely happy with the

Dark Allegiance placing of Drynwyn's Flame - congratulations! Ebon Cloak tried

harda nd still produced a great piece, unfortunately it never quite met with

the requirements of the phase and they were penalised accordingly. They still

however tried hard and am sure have gained some great experience.

Hopefully Phyle 2, formerly known

as Dragon Guard, will re-launch this coming week. I look forward to seeing Corde's

efforts pan out.
