 <p class="report">I must offer profound and sincere apologies to the entirety of my Phyle. I promised -- or at least strongly suggested and hinted at -- the fact that we would have the Journal Run-On going by my next report. Well, it would appear my next report have come and the Journal Run-On has not. Ouch. I shall get that done forthwith! And yes, I am sure you will believe that when you see it.</p>

 <p class="report">Another thing that you can be active in is the [Krath Combat Center](http://www.minos.net/~mairin/combat/). I myself plan on challenging the High Priestess Mairin Astoris. Actually, I have. I merely and waiting upon her to get the entire thing set up. It will certainly prove interesting I am sure. So, go join! Go battle! Go HAVE FUN! Very Important (TM).

 </p><p class="report">Also, there are far too many competitions going on for any of you to have an excuse not to participate in at least _one_ of them. Here they are, in some particular order:</p>

 <p class="report">Moving on the Master-Student Competition III has begun, and I wish everyone who is participating luck and I hope that if anyone in our Phyle is a part of it they will be so honored as to bring home the title of winner for us.  <p class="report">Much like me, Mejas promised a Run-On and did not deliver. We must be on a streak here. He also promises -- like me, I might add -- that one will be appearing shortly. Be sure to participate in that when -- and if -- it appears.</p>

 <p class="report">There are several other competitions going on at the House, amoung them the Murder Mystery Leage II. Everyone one of you should have received the attachment containing all the pertinent information from the email. I would really like to see you guys throwing some ideas around at the very least over the Phyle mailing list. After all, it's there so we can stay in COMMUNICATION! Remember that word: COMMUNICATION. So use it and start working! *Tirna cracks her whip. KA-POW!*</p>

 <p class="report">[Phase II](http://www.yogle.freeserve.co.uk/DarkAllegiance/) is over, and our submission is in -- I hope -- and we should be hearing the results from Mejas soon, for it seems Betja is having computer troubles. Oh, dear. Hopefully they'll be fixed soon.</p>

 <p class="report">On the same note [Phase III](http://www.yogle.freeserve.co.uk/DarkAllegiance/) is gearing up and should be going by Monday. I plan on holding the run-on on the [Phyle's message board](http://pub92.ezboard.com/beboncloakphyle), and while there is a topic set up please do not post yet. I will make the first post and you all may begin posting after that. I highly suggest reading the final version of the Phase II submission before you do, however.</p>

 <p class="report">On a final note about competitions you still have a few more days -- until October 31 -- to get your submissions in for this month's fiction topic: The Haunting. All the details are on the Ebon Cloak holosite, but as certain people do not seem apt to go there, I shall post them here:</p>

 <p class="report">Description:

Not long ago House Acclivis Draco moved back to its domain on Osiris, taking back the familiar halls it once inhabited. But another being inhabits this old place of Dark Jedi residency. Wandering the halls day and night its moaning wail often fills the halls to disturb the peaceful dreamers' rest with haunting visions of a thing surely long past. Of a battle, and of a horrible death.</p>

 <p class="report">Revenge. This is always the reply to any question that it is asked, no matter what it may be. Enshrouded in the sable robes of a Dark Jedi, although robbed of the lightsaber which might normally be borne at his hip, this "ghost", as he is often called continues to haunt the domain of the Dragon Hall.</p>

 <p class="report">What can be done to silence him? How can this creature of the neither realm be brought to peace that he would rest quietly within the depths of death? Only time--or a very brave Tyro--may ever know.</p>

 <p class="report">Summary:

Write a story about this ghost which haunts the halls of the House, detailing his death and why he is so urgent to seek revenge on that party which killed him. Tell also how he finds the revenge he seeks, and is able to finally rest in peace and no longer haunt ceaselessly the realm of the Dragon.</p>

 <p class="report">Length:

The story must be at least two pages long in Microsoft Word.</p>

 <p class="report">Font:

The font may either be Arial, Times New Roman or Courier New

The font must be no bigger than twelve points, and no smaller than nine points.</p>

 <p class="report">Format:

The submission may either be in text (.txt), rich text (.rtf), Word document (.doc) or HTML (.htm/.html) format.

 <p class="report">On a nearly final note -- aren't you so glad? -- I would like to congratulate Talons Pryde on his promotion to the rank of Guardian. This new rank is hard earned and well deserved, and I congratulate you heartily upon attaining it. As an almost anticlimatic bonus, Talons is also taking up the position of Dark Hand as Acolyte Mako Gaiton has stepped down after only three weeks of service. Hopefully this new Dark Hand will last a while longer.</p>

 <p class="report">Now for my final note, the ultimatum of my report...! I'm going on leave! Shocked? You really shouldn't be. I have decided that I am going to go on a brief leave of absence for a few days -- don't worry, I will get next week's report out in time, even if I have to throttle my new Dark Hand until he gives me a report -- and catch up on all the little projects that keep piling up in the background. It's an unfortunate but neccesary chore if I want to keep my sanity.</p>

 <p class="report">So, in conclusion, while I may be seen online, and I may check email to keep my inbox clear for incoming stuff -- what little I seem to get -- I will not be dealing with any further issues until I return, which should be around Wednesday. Dark Hand Talons Pryde and Acolyte Mako Gaiton are in charge in my absence, so if they say something I expect you all to treat it as if it were a command from me. That is all.</p>

 <p class="report">Well, I wished more to report this week and -- unfortunately -- I got it. I am leaving Scholae Palatinae for Arcona after I attain my promotion to Protector. I am also stepping down from my position as Dark Hand. I realize it has been but a few weeks but I have come to realize I cannot handle the workload it entails.</p>

 <p class="report">On a more cheery note Guardian Erryc attained a Dark Side Scroll for his submission to the thirty-first edition of the Dark Voice. Congratulations on your medal, Erryc!</p>

 <p class="report">Anyway, moving on... Guardian Erryc Lassiter, Protector Zedder Netzach and Acolyte Detori Koth are all on leave, with Protector Ktulu Mizheray beginning a leave of absence of his own, and Erryc has stated that he should be returning to us soon. Let us hope, for another active member would do us good, but other than that no returns or transfers.</p>

 <p class="report">It had been a month since her brother had tried to kill her. A month, and he still had not responded to her queries. She sighed, her footsteps echoing along the empty halls as she made her way to the Ebon Cloak meeting hall.</p>

 <p class="report">"My lady?"</p>

 <p class="report">The voice of her Steward startled the Tetrarch and Tirna paused mid-stride and her hand halfway to her weapon. "Oh... It's you Alarr," she breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm sorry for being so jumpy. My--"</p>

 <p class="report">"Your brother?" Alarr inquired with a gently raised eyebrow.</p>

 <p class="report">Tirna nodded. "Unfortunately, yes." She sighed again, starting to walk once more. "It's been a month and he still refuses to loosen his jaw." She shook her head, shoulders slumping as she sighed yet again. "I really don't know what to do with him. I don't wish to kill him, he is, after all, my brother. But I can't let him loose."</p>

 <p class="report">Alarr nodded with compassionate eyes. "Let me try, m'lady?" he inquired, tilting his head slightly.</p>

 <p class="report">Tirna paused, turning to look at him. "What do you have in mind?"</p>

 <p class="report">He smiled, reaching out to fondly pat her hand. "Just let me worry about the little details, Tirna. You have bigger and greater things to do." He chuckled then, slipping away before Tirna could say another word.</p>

 <p class="report">The Tetrarch shook her head with a sigh and a chuckle. She did indeed have other things to do, though whether they were as grand and important as her head steward said...</p>

 <p class="report">She shook her head once more before continuing her walk toward the meeting hall...</p>

 <p class="report">"The participation rate I have seen from all of you is shameful. There are a great many activities that you all could be participating in that you are not. Allow me to name a few." She cleared her throat then, taking a breath. "The Krath Combat Center. This has been open for several weeks now and hardly any of you have started participating. Go and do so! The monthly topics the Krath High Priestess has set forth have thusfar been /ignored/. This is most displeasing and I hope to see some changes in this matter very soon." Her eyes narrowed slightly. "On another note, the Master/Student championship has underway, for those of you who are actually participating, good luck."</p>

 <p class="report">Her gaze swept the crowd. "Another thing I am quite disappointed about is our lack of general communication. We cannot work together as a team if we do not trust each other. So I want everyone to start talking to each other. I don't care about what, just start getting to know your phyle mates. That's an order!"</p>

 <p class="report">"The Murder Mystery League is also underway, as is the monthly fiction topic for the Phyle. I expect some input on that post haste. I trust everyone has the details they need. If not, let me know." Her voice dripped venom.</p>

 <p class="report">"On another note Phase II of the Dark Allegiance is completed and Phase III will be underway shortly. I expect all of you to be ready to move when the orders come in. You will find yourself regretting it if you are not."</p>

 <p class="report">Her look turned abruptly into a sweeter smile. "On a nearly final note I would like to congratulate Protector Talons Pryde--" she reached behind her to pull out a set of Guardian robes "--on his promotion to the rank of Guardian. This rank I feel is well earned and I look forward to seeing more work from him." She passed the robes down and then looked back up.</p>

 <p class="report">"On a truly final note, I regret to announce that I am going on a short leave of absence. Certain things have been calling my attention as of late, and now I find that they cannot be ignored. I offer my most sincere apologizes for any inconviniences this may cause. In my absence Talons Pryde and Mako Gaiton are in change. I expect you to listen and obey their instructions as you would mine. That is all."</p>

 <p class="report">And with that the Ebon Cloak Tetrarch descended of the dais, leaving it free for her resigning Dark Hand to take over.</p>

 <p class="report">Mako stepped up to the dais with a somber look on his face. "Dear friends, it is my duty to tell you that I am resigning my post as Dark Hand. I know it has only been a few weeks, but I have decided to transfer after my next promotion. I will enjoy the company of everyone of you," he said.  "It's just a shame I never got around to teaching Ktulu how to use poisons effectively," Mako joked. "But, on the upside of things, Guardian Lasitter was awarded the Dark Scroll and Talons passed the Krath Basic and Grammar Studies Exams. Detori, Zedder, and Erryc are still on indefinite leave, though Erryc might be returning shortly and Ktulu has started his Leave of Absence." Clearing his throat, Mako continued. "On a note of sadness, I am transferring out of Scholae Paletinae to Arcona in hopes to revitalize their members. As for the activity, I think we have done very well. Now, for the last time in this House, I will leave you to your meal now." With a somber look on his face, Mako stepped off the dais for the last time. _Now to find those papers,_ he thought. _I am really going to miss this place._</p>

 <p class="report">Entering his quarters, he began to pack his things. When he got his things packed, he took one last look at his room. _I don't think the next one will be home, but I might as well make it that way._ Picking up his katana and his other carry-ons, he walked out of his quarters. Judging the time to be about midnight, he didn't expect anyone to say anything to him since they would all be asleep. As Mako reached the hangar to board his ship, he noticed his friends standing there waiting. He noticed some right off, Talons, Ktulu, Adian, and Tirna.</p>

 <p class="report">Nodding to each of them, he left a small token in each of their hands. "Relics from my home. Remember me always, dear friends." At that, he turned and began to board the ship. Looking back once more to remember the hallowed halls, which he called home for some time now. _Might never see them again. I want to be able to remember them for the rest of this existence._</p>
