Having reviewed the roster I believe the following people to be "dead weight". I apologise if I've tarred you with the wrong brush, but during my tenure as Quaestor I don't belive you've been at all active. You have 5 days to e-mail Oath Master Timbal and improve your workrate and ethos, else - you'll be joining the Rogues. I don't just want you to e-mail and then go dead - you'll still be booted. You have been warned!

Much as the title states - Consul Cuchulain has returned from his leave of absence. Good to have you back Cooch!!!

**I'm glad to see more discussion over the mailing list these past few days. It's good to see a few quiet people getting more involved and soem interesting URL's sent out!!!

DB News:

Medal of Communication / Induction Details:

My Magistrate, Knight Camile, has started taking post tallies of the main Dark Brotherhood message board. Medals of Communication will be awarded based on the guidelines set forth by the Communications Office:

10 - Bronze

      25 - Silver  

      50 - Gold  

      100 - Platinum  

      250 - Diamond

Post tallies are done weekly and thus, medals are given weekly. Posts only on the main DB MB count at this time, and the posts must have content to them. Also, remember that if you recruit a member into the Brotherhood, please inform me and I will award you a Medal of Instruction.

Murder Mystery League 2 Open:

The Murder Mystery League 2 is now open. Details have been sent to your Quaestors and Aediles, so they should be sending them out to you shortly.

Phase 1 is the writing of your scenario, which will later be "solved" by other Houses. You will have two weeks to write the scenario, and it is due by 11.59pm on Saturday 2nd November. Phase 2 will entail solving the mysteries of other Houses and will start on 3rd November.

The first placed House will win the Sword of the Avenger and the second placed House will win the Ring of Wrath.

Acclivis Draco took first place last year - can they hold onto it, or will someone else reign victorious? Stay tuned to find out. :

Competitions:

_**Dark Allegiance:

**_Phase 2 has closed and I'm hoping that Betja Jun has recieved all of your entries. I spoke with him earlier on IRC and I believe he has computer troubles, so it may turn out that I will be marking the Phase 2 entries. I plan on launching Phase 3 on Monday and then Phase 4, two weeks later. I hope that the 2 Phyles have both tried their hardest and look forwrad to hearing your results.

**_Murder Mystery League:

_**Loor has made the initial post to the House addressing the new task of the MML2. So far I think everyone has been pre-occupied with getting finished for the Dark Allegiance, but we should all try and come up with some ideas over the next 2 days. We've to come up with a possible scenario detailing the following info:

**_How to do it and what it entails...

_**A body has been found... Your job is to provide the security forces reports to enable a team of crack detectives (the opposing Houses) to discover the identity of the killer.

**_What does that mean?

**_That means that you have to be the eyes and ears for the detectives. You will provide all the information they need to solve the Mystery. You should include the following:

Who found the body? When and where? How was the victim killed?

Who was the victim?

A list of artefacts found on or near the body - they may be important and may lead to the identity of the killer!

A list of people connected with the victim - suspects! Provide interviews with them and assert their alibis for the time of death in question.

Who actually did it (For the Order Leader's eyes only - we need to know so we can hand out the scores!)

2 clues (Again for the Order Leader's eyes only - these are in case the opposing House can't solve the mystery and needs help; points will be deducted from that House's score for each clue that they use up.)

**How long do we have to do all this?

** As this is a team effort, the House has 2 weeks to write the scenario. This scenario must then be submitted to the relevant Order Leader who will be responsible for sending out the scenarios to opposing Houses. Each House will then have one week to solve its scenario and send their solution to the relevant Order Leader. Make sure that when submitting your scenarios, you give a list of all those responsible for writing it in the email body, as these writers will count towards points (see the points section).

**_House Run-On:

_**I announced I would start a run-on last week - well, I didn't!!! Apologies for this. We'll try and get something going this weekend.

_**Internal Phyle Competitions:

**_While the Dark Allegiance event takes priority above all others, there are also competition being run within your Phyle by your Tetrarch. These are a great way to earn yourself further medals and promotions - SO TAKE PART:

DF Phyle: No competition running at present. Concentrating on Dark Allegiance and awaiting Caption Competition results.

_EC Phyle: _The Phyle's monthly competition carries on. The deadline is October 31st. The topic is "The Haunting". All submissions must be sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. More details at http://www.geocities.com/Ebon_Cloak_Phyle/.

Conclusion:

Well, another phase of Dark Allegiance has come to a close and we have a major Krath wide competition to take part in. Not only is it Krath Wide, but we want to retain the title for this event!!! So let's get brainstorming our ideas over the weekend and try and get something together for the submission date the following weekend. On a side note - get ready for Phase 3 being launched - probably on Monday.
