Dark Greetings Tarentum,
I apoligize for the lack of a report last week, got a bit swamped with school projects and the like. But anyway, on to more important news. While we suffered several member losses last week, Tarentum is currently standing strong at 71 members. So, welcome to all the members who have so recently joined our Clan. :)
We are currently working on creating a large scale Clan Competition for Tarentum, and while I have a few ideas (mainly for Krath), I need all of your input. I'm trying to work on getting practice at what we'll need for the upcoming DB-wide competitions, yet twist them up a bit so they're not the standard things we do all the time for our particular order. So what have you always wanted to see done? What activity do you enjoy participating in the most, either something you've done in the past, or something you'd like to see done in the future. Want to try and make this fun for everyone, but I'll need your help. :)
While we work on coming up with the larger-scale competition, however, we've devised a little fun competition for any clan member to do should they find themselves extremely bored -- or maybe just wanting to take out aggresion. I will include character pictures of both myself and our Proconsul Proton in a seperate email -- for you to . . . add your own touches to. On reccomendation of a persistant Gladius member (Aari. :p ), this will be known as a 'grafitti contest'. Use any graphics or paint program you have and take it to our pictures. A bit of an odd request, but I'll be interested to see what you all come with. ;)
On the note on IRC, as I'm sure many have already heard, we did finally succeed in getting X, and all the details of who gets what access either have been or are being worked out, so this should be a very good thing and I encourage everyone that is able to visit and get to know all of your fellow Tarentum clansmen and women. And I know I said in my last report I would be trying to get on IRC more myself, but recently my computer has developed a case of perpetual lag that makes it take me five minutes to move my mouse to where I need it, not to mention I type faster than it puts it on the screen, and being that lagged with only the internet open, I haven't yet tried to get on IRC. Hopefully I'll figure out a way to get my computer back in motion soon.

This is report #3 dating 11/02/2002.
The most important matter this week is definetly the arrival of the X bot in #tarentum, that means #tarentum is finally officially registeredand we now have law in order in there so all these jokers out there who annoyed us in the past should beware now. But now I ask you to make use of this channel so all the labor Talon Zetar and others in order to register the channel went through, weren´t useless . Go there meet fellow Cestides and play JK or JKII with them or ask Siths how to fly XWA or XvT and try a match with them or discuss good plotlines with Kraths and challenge them to Battleboard fights. There are so many possibilies to use #tarentum. If all of you use it only once or twice a week it would be enough to make it a thriving meeting centre or all Tarentum members. Try it you won´t be disappointed.
Now to the usual topics:
Activity:
The activity increased in the last week but due to new NOVs who are active and not due to old house members who reactivated themselfs. There are still way too many members inactive that has to change in the future or I have think about consequences. Good news are that house Cestus showed itself at the OHC comp again and made with JH Sukuth 2nd place, I would like to see more of this. There has been also some fun JKII matches and training matcches. Keep that up as well.

It's been a very good week for the house. I have seen a lot of Activity
reports in my inbox good work.
ACTIVITY REPORTS:
Rage Maki(Lady Rage): -On IRC daily
-worked a lot for the Phase 2 of the SA.
-submitted 4 screenshots of matches
-practiced a lot with QUA Gelton, AED Zetar,TM
Sukuth
-fought in different matches and tried out different
settings like guns, no force, sabers, duels, matches with 5 other players
and so on. I played against Maximus, Davey (Maniac), Gelton, Sukuth, Zetar,
Eoth and Acidic. I am very proud of my match against Sukuth in which I lost
but I managed to get 6 kills! And I am also proud to tell you that I managed
1 kill against Acidic.
I also participated in the Saturday Tourney. I lost my first match against
X-pilot already, which made me a bit sad but also angry because I knew I
could have done better if I stayed calm. I will try to improve though :P
I am alot on the MB as you have seen with my other name LadyRage. I will try
to get some other trainings matches as much as possible but Sukuth runs away
the whole time.
Tygarin Cypher:
-Competed in tourney on the weekend.. had to fight Acidic,
so of course I lost. Played JK2 iwth a few people, otherwise I've been too
busy looking for a job to do much more.
Obscurus:
-submitted all of the necessary data for the AF webpage to my web
designer. The page should finally be completed very soon. I am hoping to be
able to include it in my SGT report
Sukuth:
active on IRC and mails
registered first competition for BoM
planning a JK2 trainings for BoM
participated in saturdays OHC tourney, 2nd place
building a website for BoM
Ereinion Qel Drome:
since last time. Played Eoth and 'Cypher, and had a jolly good time
:)Currently making banners for your banner comp, and making a website for
myself.
Else, just hanging in #tarentum several hours a day..
Zekk:
-Played More Rogue 2 (I know its not JK2 but its as close to a Star
Wars game that I can play since I don't have my comp all the time, Also when
it comes out I will get JK2 for the Game Cube :0)

Well 5 reports this week not exactly an improvement from last. PLease do
them, we cannot tell who is worthy of promotions unless you send me an
activity report. If you need help on doing one take a look at how Sukuth and
I do ours. Its really easy for me to see what you have done and to copy into
my report.

Happy Halloween everyone! It's been a cool week for almost everyone I think. Lots of going ons with different competitions and what not. Well let's get to the news.
We have two new people with us now. One I did not get a notice about but have seen him on the roster. Please welcome NOV Alexi Vonelv to Gladius. The other we should already know about, ACO Siterath Goersase. If you've not had the chance, remember to welcome them.
We had one promotion this week! Obscurus Manica is now a Protector. Go Manica!! I love giving out promotions so everyone give me a reason to promote you!
Rage Akaido received a Dark Cross for her Dark Voice #31 image of the month. She also has received many Dark Side Scrolls for her many submissions to the DV. I encourage everyone to at least glance through it when they publish it. I'd be really happy if others started submitting to it though. :)
Jade Avius has been granted permission to be the first Guardian to start the Jedi Trials. I've got some updating to do on the website but nothing too important. Remember that Guardians to and through Krath Priests can take the trials but must adhere to the rules. Don't be afraid to step into my office.
I will be going over the results of the last AWOL check as soon as I get that. All you new people do not have to worry about that for now. You may however see some people go off the roster. I encourage activity and if you can't reply to an email once a month then I'm going to remove you. If you need some time off just give me a yell and I'll remember that.
Applications for the TET positions were less than what I had expected but there will be new TETs as soon as other things get taken care of. You guys should see my list of things to do, it's about a mile long now :P
We may be looking at making a new website for Gladius. Knight Camile was the one who made our last one but I wouldn't feel right bogging him down with it. It's just a thought for now so don't sweat.
I'll let everyone know when the new monthly topics come out. I'm hoping to see them tomorrow but the KHP might wait until Saturday.
Speaking of competitions, Gladius has failed to get anything done for the MML but I understand and do not hold it against anyone. The Master/Apprentice competition is taking up some people's time and with everything going on within the House, right now isn't really the time to plan something like that. Hades and I are planning a fun little thing to do. Details will be given as soon as we hammer them out. If anyone has any ideas please throw them at us. But don't throw too hard please :)

OK, here's the deal, AED comp for the month of November, and if I get any questions on when it starts, or when it ends, your entry into the comp will be discarded <g>
Now then, to the Batmobile, I mean to the details...this is a Mission Outline Comp. This is one of the items that are part of the Jedi Trials for Tridens. It is NOT the same as a Battleplan. Your mission is to make a mission, or at least explain to me how you WOULD make the mission, if you did make it.
Basically, if your mission creation skills are up to the challenge, make a mission with the guidelines I give, on the platform of your choice. If they aren't, then describe in as much detail as you can, what the mission WOULD be if you did make it. The more things you put in it (extras like briefing questions, true 3D waypoints, in-flight messages, etc) the better. The bare minimum is Flight Groups, arrival times, starting locations, orders and win conditions. Basically enough to just play the mission, in a very rough state. Include a minimum plotline file as well....explaining how Tridens and the Pirates are reacting....are the pirates attacking, fleeing, calling for more help, and what does Tridens command do. It can be a short story, a couple of paragraphs, or just the basics that I am giving you, and a couple of more sentences added to show what you have done.
And here's the details: Single Mission (Free mission) - Defense of PLT Aegis (or similar title, if you actually make the mission and wish to get it TAC approved). Pirate raiders, using an old chart decide to hit the Yridia sector, not knowing that Tridens has it's main base of operations around Yridia 2. At the time of the attack Stingray squadron is away on a training exercise, and Sub-zero squadron has just stood down and is off-duty. Starting Tridens forces are therefore only 1 T/I squadron (HammerHead) and the PLT Aegis. Total Tridens forces available will be 3 T/I squadrons, the PLT, and the Corellian Corvette Cerberus, which happened to be near enough to answer the call for help that the PLT issued. How long it takes for the extra forces to arrive on scene, is up to you. Remember, Sub-Zero will be launching from the platform, as soon as possible, and Stingray will be responding to the alert the PLT issued.
Pirate forces are up to you, but be reasonable...they were expecting to find a backwater planetary system, perhaps with a few defences....not a full Jedi Clan of Sith.
Remember, the goals of this comp are many-fold. Firstly, it is a chance for all of us to do something different. It is a way for those of you that will need to take the Trials to prepare. It will possibly add to the list of available DB missions. It will be a lot of fun, to see what ideas everyone has, and just to do this. Don't forget that the more entries received, the better the medals awarded will be, so help your Master or Apprentice to enter, encourage your wingmate to try it out, offer advice to your squadron, whatever you can do.
IF you know nothing about mission creation, there are IWATS courses that teach it, if you want to really learn, if not, just do the best you can, the information I am requesting shouldn't be too hard to just write down. I will take questions, and answer them the best I can.
So go out there, and show that Tridens doesn't just Fly missions, we make them!
