</p><p class="report">[Krath Combat Center](http://www.minos.net/~krath/combat/) - Well, it would seem I have some challengers! I look forward to battling with you all, and I will try to reply on all my battles as quickly as possible, though if it takes me a day or two, don't fret, I haven't forgotten that you're there, I just have other things taking my attention at the moment. I might also note that we have a new Krath holosite and the Combat Center has been merged with it. The new addresses are on the Phyle holosite under "Affiliates".</p>
<p class="report">[Journal Run-On](http://pub92.ezboard.com/feboncloakphylefrm2.showMessage?topicID=4.topic) - This past week has seen several posts, and that is pleasing. I hope to see more from everyone in the future. For those of you who are new members I would note that I am trying to start up a Phyle tradition by having everyone write their character journal down by hand in a notebook or a real journal, such as I have. It helps bond us with our characters I think, not to mention then you always have a hard copy of it should the server crash, or the computer crash. The in character orders are that all Tyros are to carry their journals with them where-ever they go, so be sure to remember that in fiction and role play.</p>
<p class="report">[Promotion Requirements](http://www.geocities.com/Ebon_Cloak_Phyle/Promotion_Requirements.htm) - As I said last week several of you have you requirements for promotion nearly complete, and I would truly like to recommend some promotions for all of you in the near future. In fact, I was able to recommend Acolyte Mako Gaiton's promotion to Protector this past week. I look forward to everyone progressing. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the training program, the details of it can be found on the Ebon Cloak holosite, as well as many other useful things.</p>

</p><p class="report">[Krath Monthly Topics](http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/news.asp) - You still have a couple of days to submit to this month's topic, so if you're working on something for either the fiction or the poetry, get it in quickly. This could be our last set of Krath-wide monthly topics for a while. Let's devoutely hope not. Also, be sure to CC me on all submissions to competitions outside the Phyle!</p>
<p class="report">Murder Mystery League II - We need to get our answers in post haste. As in, today. The answer is due Friday, and I expect to see all of you tossing out ideas as to who you think did it. It only takes a minute to read through it and drop a line of email stating who you think did it, so let's get moving!</p>
<p class="report">[Dark Allegience: Phase IV](http://www.yogle.freeserve.co.uk/DarkAllegience/) - Phase IV gears up tomorrow, and for those of you who don't know it's a two page essay from each of you. The Phase III Run-On is still up on the message board, and you should use that as a springboard for your Phase IV fiction. All submission are due 20021213. Guardian Arcturus Gadeskin Xyler, Guardian Algaron Xerves, Novice Bartleby and Novice Mike as excused from participation unless Mejas and Betja give their express permission for them to participate, due to being new members. Everyone else had better submit something and CC me when they do so.</p>
<p class="report">[November Monthly Fiction Topic](http://www.geocities.com/Ebon_Cloak_Phyle/Competions.htm) - I am going to give everyone a grace period until the fourth to get their submissions in, seeing as we have four new members in this past little bit, and some people are having a bit of trouble getting on their computers. So, I expect to see some fiction in my inbox on the morning of the fifth, unless by some strange twist of fate everyone got theirs in before them.</p>

</p><p class="report">Promotions - Congratulations to Acolyte Mako Gaiton, who was promoted to Protector this past week. The rank is well earned and I look forward to seeing more work from this eager, young Tyro.</p>
<p class="report">December Topics - Some of you may be delighted to know that not only do I have a fiction topic planned for next month, but a poetry _and_ a run-on! So, no one will have an excuse not to participate in _something_. The details will be out in the next day or so, once they've been approved. In the meantime, I suggest everyone go and register on the message board, as that is where the run-on will be held. Please use your character name sans underscores -- use spaces -- and numbers. Thank you.</p>
<p class="report">[Monthly Poll](http://www.geocities.com/Ebon_Cloak_Phyle/index.htm) - This poll has been up for the past several months and I still have only received four votes, one of which I know to be mine, which means I have only gotten three votes in actuality. Thus, the poll is staying up until I get some more input as to what type of competitions you would like to see in the future. After all, I can only give you what you want if you tell me what you want. The poll can be found on the Ebon Cloak holosite.</p>
<p class="report">Activity Requirements - As we have some new members I will reiterate the activity requirements for remaining in the Phyle: At least one post in the Journal Run-on per week, preferably with multiple entries, and a submission into at least one Phyle competition a month. Not too terrible, really.</p>
<p class="report">Communication - I want to see more emails crossing the mailing list, and more posts on the message board, but most especially I want to have more personal communication with all of you. <p class="report">It was late in the evening, just after supper -- the cooks had prepared a wonderful feast in honor of their victorious return -- that the Tetrarch of Ebon Cloak found her feet taking her toward the meeting hall of her Phyle.</p>
<p class="report">It wasn't long before another set of footsteps joined hers, and Tirna Q'jira waited for her companion to utter the first word. She didn't have to wait long.</p>
<p class="report">"Tirna." The voice of her Dark Hand was gruff with exhaustion.</p>
<p class="report">For a moment Tirna considered the idea of continuing her march toward the meeting hall, but then paused, noticing how close they were to it. She turned then, hands clasped behind her back. "Yes, Talons?" she inquired, an eyebrow lifting mildly. A rift had been torn between them since their mission on Ba'fel. A rift Tirna did not like.</p>
<p class="report">"I just wanted to apologize for doubting your loyalty. I know now that you only did what you thought was best. I understand that now, and I forgive you. I can only hope that you forgive me as well." He bowed then, stiffly, and resumed his journey.</p>
<p class="report">Tirna stared after him for a long moment before trotting after in his wake.</p>

<p class="report">"...The mission on Ba'fel went well, and I am pleased to see that in my absence, and indeed my return we have gained four new members. Welcome; I look forward to seeing your progression and growth within the Phyle."</p>
<p class="report">The Tetrarch's gaze shifted to the weary Talons before continuing. "I seem to have received several challenges from you, my Tyros, and I do accept them all. I look forward to seeing my friends -- yes, I do hope to consider you all friends -- in action. Fight with honor, die with dignity." A small smirk fluttered across her lips.</p>
<p class="report">"There is still a little time to complete the Krath Order topics as proscribed by the previous Krath High Priestess. All submissions for this month should be sent to her, not the new Krath High Priest: Daavak Cantor. Also, be sure to give me a copy of your entry. I fully intend on posting all entries into competitions throughout the Brotherhood from my Tyros on the holosite. Besides," she chuckled, "it lets me know you're not just sitting around doing nothing.</p>
<p class="report">"Also, on this month's Phyle topic, I am granting a grace period of until 20021204 to get your submission in, seeing as we have several new members and a few people with problems concerning their terminals. For those of you with troubles due to your terminal, technicians should be looking over them shortly."</p>
<p class="report">"On a similar note I have the topics for next month nearly ready, and I will be passing out the details once I gain approval for all three of the competitions." A grin fluttered across her lips and was quickly surpressed. "I doubt any of you will have an excuse to not be active somehow.</p>
<p class="report">"And speaking of activity, I trust that everyone one of you are writing in your journals on a daily basis as instructed. For those of you who are new members I will be giving you journals of your own to write in, and I expect you to do so. We, the Krath, are the keepers of lore, mythology and religion. But we must know our own thoughts to be able to know those of another. These journals will help you with that. I suggest," she arched an eyebrow, "that you use them." She softened then. "Also, I expect participation in at least one Phyle competition per month. Nothing too strenuous."</p>
<p class="report">She consulted her notes for a moment before looking up then. "Two more things before I go. The poll on the holosite has only seen one more vote since my last report. We are a Phyle of eleven, including myself, I expect to have eleven votes put into the poll before my next report, as well as some input being tossed across the holoboard."</p>
<p class="report">She smiled then, a secretive look flickering across her face. "And now, for the final bit of my report... Acolyte Mako Gaiton, would you please step forward?"</p>
<p class="report">The Acolyte gave her a long look, obviously puzzled, and then slowly eased out of his seat to stand before her. "Yes, milady?"</p>
<p class="report">That look flickered across Tirna's features again as she reached back to pull something white from a stand behind her, slowly unfolding it. "As your Tetrarch," she began, still unfolding the cloth which was starting to show hints of blue. "It is my duty and honor to bestow upon you the rank of Protector, and all the rights, priviledges, and _responsibilities_," she stressed the final word, "it entails. Congratulations," she smiled as she handed the robe to him, now completely folded out.</p>
<p class="report">For a long moment Mako stared at the Protector blue in stunned shock, and with a sudden, jubilant whoop he took it, his ears flushing in embarassment as he realized what he'd done, but that certainly didn't wipe the beaming look of triumph and incredulousness off his face.</p>
<p class="report">The Tetrarch chuckled, understanding the feeling all to well herself. Then she smiled, bowing to her Phyle. "And now, with your kind and gracious permission your Dark Hand has a few things he would like to report."</p>
<p class="report">She slipped away from the front of the dias, pausing to whisper kind words into the Guardian's ear. "I forgive you, and...</p>

<p class="report">Talons wearily walked up to the podium. The events of the past week weighed heavily upon his shoulders. He gazed out at the phyle and sighed. He took a deep breath and began.
</p><p class="report">"Tyros of the Phyle of the Ebon Cloak, gracious Tetrarch, assembled guests. We have four new members in the Phyle. Let us welcome officially, the Jedi Hunter Arcturus Gadeskin Xyler, Guardian Algaron Xerves, Novice Bartleby and Novice Mike. May the Darkness bring them enlightenment." Talons paused and checked his notes.</p>
<p class="report">"Our own Tetrarch has earned the Steel cross and Ktulu has earned an emerald star for his submission last month," Talons continued quickly. "Guardian Erryc Lassiter has been busy with completing the Obelisk studies and the Brotherhood leadership exams, passing them both easily."</p>
<p class="report">"Activity is on the rise and I am pleased. I want us to stay on this course of action and make us the number one Phyle in the house. We may be lower Jedi but we are still Jedi. Let us show what we are really made of." With that, Talons bowed curtly, slipped his arm around Tirna and left the podium area.</p>
