Greetings Tarentum!
Sorry for the bit of a delay in this week's report, I was hardly home at all Sunday so I wasn't able to get the report written. But in annny case. . . how's everyone? the family? the job? the car? the pets? the weather? Thaat's wonderful. . . and now it's time to run rampant through our hallowed, hopefully now padded, halls and competing in competition after competition. . .all to see who can have the most fun doing it. >=P
So what is there to do? Wellllll, to recap all the events in the last three reports briefly, the Tridens vs. Galthain and Cestus vs. Galares, did I get that right? Hope so. Anyway, I believe those will be coming to a close soon and I hope and expect to see that all of you lovely people are the conquering forces in those endeavours.
Christmas Time is heeeere.. lots of fun and tinsel and caroling and pranking on rival Clan's temple steps. . . err, yes, the competition. I've had a few submissions so far, one person from Gladius and a few from Cestus, but I know we can have a bit more fun with these events than that. You could if you really had the drive and desire to do it, dig through the old mail and find the details of this competition again, but to save you some time and take care of my one good deed a year, I'll paste those details again here:
Starting Date: December 1st/2nd, 2002
Ending Date: December 31st, 2002
Tarentum Christmas Competition
I tried to get ideas from the Sith and Obelisk for their specific order events that could have a Christmas twist on them, but I didn't get any suggestions, but I figure any order can do most of these events, as they're designed to be short and fun. =)
Any order can obviously participate in any of the events and as many as the like.
Each event will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place place winner that can receive medals, and the person at the end of the competition with the largest number of points will also receive a medal.
Members may participate in any event as many times as they like. Every member may participate, and all entries are to be sent to me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and Proconsul Proton ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]), and CCed to your respective House Summits.
Medals and Points:
1st - Crescent with an Amethyst Star (15 points)
2nd - Crescent with a Sapphire Star (10 points)
3rd - Crescent with an Emerald Star (5 points)
Largest Scorer - Crescent with an Amethyst Star
Events:
Christmas Story: A story of "Christmas" in Clan Tarentum. People in the "real world" celebrate Christmas with Santa and Christmas trees and, of course, food. But how do people in the Star Wars universe, or in the Brotherhood and Clan Tarentum celebrate? Is there Vader with a santa costume? Do we gather in the cantina and sing Christmas songs? Or is it Christmas at all? Perhaps its just a winter festival. Your job is to write whatever rituals and traditions you believe your DB persona would celebrate. You may use our usual Christmas traditions or create an entirely different holiday, it's up to you, have fun with it and be creative. =)
Christmas Poem: Write a Christmas poem. . .about the general feelings generated by this holiday, or whatever other holiday you created. Think. -- Twas Night Before Christmas. . .and all through Tarentum's hallowed halls. . . >:P There is no minimum number of lines, but try and make it something of a little substance. ;)
Christmas Songs: Our favorite song parodies! Grab your favorite Christmas song or two, or three and turn it into an all-new exciting Christmas in Tarentum.. or winter festival in Tarentum -- whatever the song writer within you demands! =)
Christmas Theme Searching: A simpler event in which you get to use your favorite search engine to shoot around the web and find Star Wars related websites that hold Christmas themes, acceptable entries would be things such as music, backgrounds, interesting pictures, etc.
Christmas Graphic Event: Your turn to create the graphics. . .decorate Castle Tarentum with tinsel and Christmas lights, dress up Vader in red and white, maybe light him up, too. :) Whatever you please as long as its nice, clean, Star Wars and Christmas related. If you created another tradition for your own Christmas rituals, you may include those in the graphics as well as long as you remind me what they stand for. :)
Three-way feud. . .these events are shorter and less detailed especially as far as writing goes than our last Deception feud, but it's also a chance to test our skills against two other Clans right before the Great Jedi War. Don't forget the run on, the link to that MB is on the main Dark Jedi Games website, but Tarentum's always done excellent with run-ons, so I know we'll do great with that. :) Regarding the upcoming GJW.. I don't know about all of you, but there are a few Clans that seem really tired of getting the top places all the time, and I think its about time we relieve them of all that stress. >:P So take this competition as a sort of training exercise to get us ready for the future in blood-letting, er. yeah.
Details here: http://www22.brinkster.com/saitou/darkjedigames/
Hm... there's also the Sith Squadron League going on, and various Obelisk events. . . so I suppose all these events could get a bit overwhelming. I'd suggest if you're looking for priority.. to finish whatever competitions you're already in the middle of (that you know will end soon) and then start to work on the three-way feud, then maybe some order wide things and the christmas competition. Or whatever order you think fits your schedule best, but do give some priority to the three-way feud, as I'd like to get a rough estimate of what we can expect to see in the future competitions against other Clans. =)
And so begin the house reports --
<bow>
Dark Greetings Jedis,
this is report #8 dating 7.12.2002. Let´s start with the usual topic:
Activity:
Activity is on a constant high level like last week. In the past week a lot of JKing due to the Feud and the CFT comp took place and also several fiction was written for the Feud. Altogether a really good performance from you who have contributed to this work.
The activity check is still going on and has arrived now in the final round. This is the FOURTH and FINAL activity check mail. Anyone of the 5 people who haven´t reported in yet and won´t do this until next Friday will be removed from the roster and placed among the rogues upon my personal request. That´s all there is left to say about this matter.
Now the usual Rolemaster report:
Activity Reports
Rage Maki: Greetings
What did happen this week.
Wednesday:
Spend only time on the MB and on IRC, no matches because I had a long
terrible day at uni
Thursday:
Finished the fiction for the feud and tried to get some feud matches but all
Galeres members ran away
Friday:
I played some ehcoc matches against Vicious (lost), Vinny (won) and got
grades on my fiction (7-7-8-8) had a discussion with my Master Quaestor
Gelton about grading writting events ;P
Saturday: Ladder started. I played against Sukuth and Reblet and lost
against both. Afterwards I played against Zetar and won. I signed up for the
OHC competition but it was called off because of the lack of participants.
Sunday: I tried again a match against Reblet and Sukuth and lost again.
Monday: I had two ladder matches against Zekk and won both therefore I took
the lead. Unfortunatley after i played against Mike (who was on a rampgae
and took the lead) and Sukuth and lost both matches my lead was gone. I also
played one ehcoc match against Vinny and won.
Tuesday: I wrote my activity report. Discovered the Obelisk Messageboard and
started to use it ;P tried again to get a feud match no luck yet.
Summery:
Spent a lot of time on IRC and MB
Played many many matches for the ladder, ehcoc comps
tried to get feud matches
wrote a feud fiction
Thats it for this week :P

hope next week I can report more
Less activity reports than last week but the same amount of active people, it seems some people are still not used to write these small reports on a regular basis, even members of my staff...come on is it really that hard?
Competitions:
Quite a lot to tell about this subject this week. First the Feud with Galeres is still going on but reaches its end. The deadline is Wednesday the 11th 12PM CET, until then you have time to fight some more matches and especially write some more fiction. The standings are as follows: last certified score in JKII is 196-195 for Cestus but that changed meanwhile I think to the favor of Cestus and in fiction it´s 25.1-0 yet but there are some fictions currently the first one of Galeres. If we can still increase our score in fiction we have a real good chance to win this Feud in the end. So everyone who hasn´t submitted a piece of fiction yet, grab your pens and write some - every point counts! That´s an order! :P
The CTF ladder comp is still going on as well and I´m glad to see it has good response from you, remember it ends as well on the 11th. Let´s see who is the biggest JKII fanatic in Cestus in the end. :P
Today another Feud has started: Another three-clan Feud like the Deception Feud last Summer: This time Tarentum,Taldryan and CSP are involved. All important informations you need to take part can be found there: http://www22.brinkster.com/saitou/darkjedigames/
Let´s focus on our own comps until they are finished on the 11th but then immediately afterwards I ask you to focus on this comp and help Tarentum to be the supreme Clan this time.
Another point regarding comps is the separation between DB and TC concerning weekly comps in #ehcoc. I sadly have to announce that you can´t win CFs anymore in these TC hosted comps, I personally liked the opportunity to win oneself some extra CFs apart in the official OHC comps. DGM Mairin Astoris, OHC Exar Khaland and the GMRG leadership is currently working on developing own DB weekly comps to compensate the loss of the TC hosted ones. There are three currently officially announced weekly comps for the Obelisk Order:
Saturday's 2:00pm EST
OHC's Rampage
Host: [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Backups:[Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Platform: JK1
Settings:Any
Members:All DB
Medals: Cluster's of Fire
Saturday's 3:00pm EST
OHC's Cup
Host: Reza - [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Backups: Mark - [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Platform: JK2
Settings: Any
Members: All DB
Medals: Crescents and CF's
Sunday's 7:00pm EST
DB Fight Club
Host: Khaland - [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Backup #1: Reza - [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Platform: JK2
Settings: Any
Members: All DB
Medals: Crescents and CF's
There is a fourth weekly comp coming up it´s not really official yet but until I hear otherwise I asume it will take place:
Wednesday´s 4PM EST
GMRG weekly wednsday comp (not final name)
Host: Gelton - [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Platform JK2
Settings: Any
Members: All DB (presumably)
Medals: CFs
There are more weekly comps to be announced but such things take their time I will keep you updated about this matter.
Roster:
Unchanged at 26 members no gains no losses. The roster looks like the following:
OBL Michael Halcyon
OW Gelton Torr - QUA
DJK Darkov
DJK Glorfindel
DJK Talon Zetar - AED
JH Blackhero
JH Kakos
JH Sukuth - Battleteam SGT Blades of Malice / Trial Master
JH Zekk - Rolemaster
GRD Eoth Kun - Battleteam SGT Battalion of Fear
GRD Hev Randrowan
GRD Obscurus - Battleteam SGT Armoured Fist
PRT Daryan
PRT Ereinion Qel Droma
PRT Zeth Ni
ACO Aleckz
ACO Marcus Gladius Octavianus
ACO Sen Hart
ACO Son Goku
ACO RageMaki
ACO Tygarin Cypher
ACO X-Pilot
NOV Reb Crush
NOV Sauron
Elevations
No elevations this week
Awards:
No service awards this week but some comp awards
Gelton Crecent with Saphire x2
Rage Maki: CoF
Reb Crush: CoF
The problem with the unawarded CFs is still at large due to the recent separation between TC and DB concering the comps, if something changes there I will let you know.
That concludes my report for this week I hope I covered everything important.Don´t mourn about the length some people seem to appreciate this :P
In Deep Respect
Yours

"Shadow is my Armor, Darkness is my Shield, Fear is my Sword"
It's been one heck of a week around here. So less talk and more news, and it's going to be a long one folks!
We have seen two new people join us. Kaith and Valpurgius, again welcome to our little place in the stars.
We've also seen two people gain in rank. Valpurgius completed his history and has become an ACO. Jade has also gained in rank. For her outstanding work recruiting new members for our house on more than one occasion, I felt she had went above and beyond what is expected of her and such, she is rewarded with the rank of JH.
This week has also seen some more medals handed out. You Mystics are doing well for yourselves so keep it up!
Speaking of medals, the end of our house competition is this Sunday and I'm looking to award some the next day or so. Make sure that you get in what you can. I've not had many entries so it's up to the rest of you to change that. Here is a recap of the competitions going on in our house and in the clan:

The DGM would like to see more things put in my reports. Mostly reports from you guys! That means starting next week, I'm gonna want activity reports from everyone. Now I know that this won't be an automatic thing but I'd like to see everyone reporting to me every Wed. by the end of this month. That will give you time to get into the routine. What do I want to see? Well, just tell me what you been up to. If you haven't done anything then just say that you haven't. I'll be posting the reports in each of my house reports.
Hmmmm.....that's about all I got for this week. Everyone is more than welcome to view my vacation pictures at www.geocities.com/telona_murrage/vacationpics.htm
I have about 70 more pictures up and that will be about it. Some of them will have me and family members in them but I don't care if you don't care :)
Everyone have a safe and productive week. Don't forget to send in your last minute entries to the house competition! I'll remind you about the personal reports about Tues.

I dream in digital.
Well, it seems they want weekly reports from me from now on, so to try and avoid just duplicating what MD has to say I'll try and make my reports short and focused. In this report I want to thank all who DID participate in the first round of the SSL. Then I want to thwap everyone who didn't. (You all know who you are)
Here's what the new SHW has to say about round 2.
Now to Round 2, the platform will be X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter, the Mission is available for download off the Squadron league website. (http://members.aol.com/hades55624/main.htm) The selected mission is XvT Free Mission 10 VSD Victory. All submissions are due Sunday the 15th at 11:59PM EST. Good luck everyone.

And if you haven't submitted yet for the Galthain comp, I need those files by Wednesday.
