A Look Inside the CHAN Office

Christmas had seeped into the Chancellor's black heart, and he was subject to approving medals a little more freely than usual.

"And there was much rejoicing."

The cheers and cries of happiness at Shadonyx's laxity rang through the Dark Hall like a chorus of bells...

"Yay."

...so much so that it shattered Firefox's best bottle of wine, forcing the Grand Master to revoke all the medals.

"D'oh!"

The Chancellor's Missive

First, many thanks to CyberGuy who has already made several improvements to the website! Some of them have been made to the medal area for which I am very thankful, and the best improvement (so far) has been that I can approve and deny medals all at one time!

I've been told by Headmaster Mage that the Leadership Test graduates has increased since my inquiry. There have been a few complaints from members, both present and old, about the nature of the test. To this I say, take the test and pass it, or be denied any chances at leadership positions. Gripe as much as you like, disillusion yourself with the idea that you're a "great leader" as long as you please, but you will see no position higher than that of Battle Team Member. While leaders cannot be made by taking a test, this test and course teaches you basic functions that are applied in becoming a leader.

I'm still waiting for an image of the Scroll of Indoctrination, and I will announce the results of the "Grinch" competition tomorrow at the meeting.

Finally, I was given a Sapphire Blade as a very nice Christmas present from Grand Master Firefox and Deputy Grand Mistress Mairin. Thank you very much, and I hope I will continue my work as Chancellor for many months to come :)

Reason given for request: I would like to award this medal to Ric in recognition of all his hard work as Quaestor over many months . He stepped down from the position this week , but leaves a legacy and his hard work and commitment to the house is to be commended

He organised and Ran the Feud between Feud against Auctoris and Kirleta , Making the web sites and doing all the leg work. The event was a great success , HE also Ran 2 one day JK II Tornaments in the clan , where he personly kept scores and Hosted both . He improved the membership and he trained his house members in the arts of JK II , Devoting alot of personel

time to this endevour

All of these things together as Well as running the house with great leadership and style make him more than worthy for this award

Reason given for request: For excellent work above and beyond the call of duty as my Praetor. Pyralis has been an aspiring assistant for some time now, and has completed every task I have assigned him with exemplary effort, and an admirable quality of work. His zealous dedication to the improvement of training has been a phenomenal help, and having someone as well-versed and insightful as Pyralis to bounce ideas off of is absolutely amazing. The Steel Cross is normally awarded for service to one's House or Clan - this particular one goes out to Pyralis for superb service to myself, the Shadow Academy, and through the Shadow Academy, the Brotherhood itself.

Reason given for request: When I first took on the job of KHP, Tim was the first of my staff to report in to me. From day one, he has been 110% helpful with new ideas, maintaining the KCC, and participating in as many events as he could, regardless of how busy he was with administrative duties.

Before his appointment to Combat Master of the KCC, Tim was extremely active, answering all emails, as well as excellent contact on IRC. He looked forward to taking on new duties that I gave him and his work on the KCC is simply amazing, as any can see. He participated in a large amount of battles, some of them simultaneously with others.

When time came to appoint a new Combat Master, Tim volunteered for the job. I did a little check of him and found he came highly recommended by his peers, as well as Mairin herself. I decided to assign Tim as Combat Master and I have seen the fruits of that decision since then.

Not only has he kept up with a large burst of KCC activity, keeping up with judging battles and approving character sheets, but he has, since then, continued to participate in battles, of which he has "won" every single battle, proving his skills not just as Combat Master but as an honest to goodness Krath with talent to spare.

In conclusion, Tim performed his duties day to day, going above and beyond the call of duty, without begging or even mentioning a desire for an award or promotion. For this, I humbly recommend Tim for the Steel Cross.

Reason given for request: OBM Khaen has served me as M:OHC since my appointment, and never stops to amaze me. Upon his placing a M:OHC he set up the entire Obelisk Comabt calender and continues to manage it, Making sure no problems occur in the Competitions, That the players recieve there correct awards and that each time Hosts are present and are doing there thing. Most recently he was responsible for the Obbiemans competitions, Which lasted 24hrs. Khaen himself sat there for 18hrs straight hosting. An as seen the results are good.

Reason given for request: For serving as AED to Kahn and Gavron in the past 9 months. Paladorion is a hard working, loyal member of QD and Arcona. He has organized competitions, help create a fun atmosphere and was active himself in DB/Clan wide competitions. He has been in close, personal contact with many of QD Krath, helping and motivating them to have fun and be active.

Reason given for request: For OUTSTANDING, incredible attitude in his costant and amazing partecipation in all our activities. He's not only an incredible example of how a member should partecipate but he's also a leading figure in our House. I honestly think that he deserve more then a Stell Cross but that's the best I can award him and I want him and the House to know how much his efforts are appreciated.
