Greetings Tarentum,
Hope everyone had happy holidays with yummy food and spiffy gifts, a bit slow this week due to these holidays but hopefully we will be slowly returning to some normal activity and can start looking forward to the new year!
Speeaking of the new year, as you may have read, Firefox will be writing a large review of the progress that the Brotherhood has made over the past year and has asked the Clans if they are interested to write their own reports on the developments within their Clan over 2002. I think Tarentum has grown a lot over the past year and will be pondering over what all to include in this review. But I'm a little crazy and absent-minded - so I need all of the members help. :) If you can think of anything I may not remember, or just want to make sure I remember it - send it my way, need all the ideas I can get. =)
This week has sadly seen the departure of DJP/DP Kumba from our ranks and the EH as a whole.. you'll be missed! Also, OBM Ziguarath has returned to Tarentum this week, we're glad to have you back, Zig. :)
Same competitions as last time -- Christmas Competition which ends.. Tuesday, the 31st of December. Not too much participation, but understandable for the holidays, get any last minute entries in as soon as you can. :)
Dark Jedi Games Feud -- remember this and CC both your House and Clan Summits on submissions. I've heard a few concerns about getting stuck on something to write about -- if you're in that position, contact me or anyone else -- we're a Clan, so we get to communicate and help eachother, just grab a few friends and brainstorm ideas, it really helps. :)

And one last thing, Lady Rage has informed that there are several who be interested in doing a Tarentum ladder with the Combat Boards sometime in the near future -- if everyone wants to do it, I am all for it. Just let me know your thoughts on it. =)
*Murkrow worked under the new prototype fighter in hangar bay 3 of the PLT Aegis.The entire underside of the fighter lay on the deck a few meters away. Murkrow tried his hardest, using the force to pull off a bolt that had seised during the last test of the warm up sequence when he hit a coolant tube. The liquid sprayed down on his but he tossed it away with teh Force just in time. He rolled him self out from under the ship to see where it had sprayed. The first thing he saw was a slightly more than anoyed BubbaX.
"The report just came in Murkrow" he anouced, "how is the fighter going?"
"Not bad, can't wait till we can get it into production for the house, that and get some of the fleet's greese monkeys to help with the work. Any way, I would imagine you want to clean yourself up. latter Bubba." Murkrow said and got back to work.*
And the moral is, don't try and win an argument with teh QUA on AIM when he is typing his report ;)
NEWS:
We are getting closer to our new fighters guys! Seeing the figures from the old Sith Order Site I would never have though we would be so close. Our squads are now at:
HH=74
SZ=72
SR=62
I must say these figures are amazing and I am very pleased especially with SR since it is such a new squadron:) A few more major wins and we will have our new fighters guys so keep up the excelent work:)
Now on to the more depressing news. CMDR Domi of SZ has resigned:< This leaves us in an unfortunat position... Find a new CMDR of close a squadron now wile we have the chance and build up. Normally I wouldn't even sugest that but the rest of the summit thinks it is the right thing to do:< I want you guys to tell me what you think, on e-mail, IMs, teh MB, any way posible. I will explore both options and the summit will decide in the next week or 2. In the mean time, CMDR applications will be taken by me and Pel and CC the clan summit.
As I said ealier, I was going to explain why my reponce to a few e-mails has been late. Basically, I just moved and my mom forgot to get the phone installed, normally that wouldn't pose any problem but with the holiday season the phone company wouldn't set it up till later in the week so I was without internet for a few days but now I am back and have the week of to get back to work:)
I would like to comend SR on their incredible performance in the Sith Squadron League! They came from behind to win for their devision. This is the second time ine a row that we have had a squadron in the tournament and I can't wait to see how they do:) Let's hope this hot streak continues right through the great jedi war!

Promotions/Medals
Siterath and Demerzel both were promoted! Their hard work had not gone unnoticed and they were rewarded for it. Keep up the good work guys! I got a sapphire crescent for placing third in the November monthly story competition. Just goes to show that Gladius people can place in that competition. I've already submitted a poem for the December monthly competition. Have you submitted anything?
Activity
I've had a few submissions come in this week. Most of them were for the Christmas competition. That's good and I encourage more. Just got to remember to send my stuff in :P Demerzel is on a short LoA and Jade is on an indefinate LoA. I've not heard from Hades yet, hopefully he'll be back soon so I'm not all alone.
Please start sending in your monthly activity reports. This takes at the most five minutes. Just tell us what competitions you've submitted to, what chat programs you've been active on, and anything else you want to say. I will be making one too for all you guys to read when the big report comes out. So start churning them out!

DB News
The SA is still going through a lot of changes. They got a graduate list up now so it'll be easier to say HI!!! to our newest members.
Some website bugs were fixed. If anyone noticed, our ranks were a block and a question mark for a little while there.
If you decide you want to be in a leadership position, got to take the Leadership test first. I encourage everyone to take the test and get a feel for all the stuff a leader must do.

Other News
Not really much else to report on. I hope everyone had a good Christmas, if you celebrate it. Around my home, we got about 7 inches of snow :P Speaking of snow, there is a winter/Christmas type word run-on going on at the Tarentum MB. I know it's got lots of pop ups but please go and make a post or two. I would love to see more participation on that.
