Dark Greetings Jedis,

This is report #10 dating 11.01.2003. I´m back from my leave,but still trying to catch up and I unfortunately lost all my mails of the last two weeks so I can´t even reread the communications, so have mercy with me if I miss some events and if my report doesn´t contain as much information as usual. But let´s head for the first topic.

Activity:

I don´t know how activity was lately, but due to the X-Mas holidays and New Years Eve presumably lower than usual. Now that this time is over, I´m sure activity will rise again, especially with the much quoted GJW in front of our doors. I won´t add a RM report here, because there is still no agreement on the handling of the activity reports, I started a thread quite some time ago but obviously almost nobody seemed urged to voice his opinion about that matter, until we have agreed all together on a procedure I will skip the RM reports here.

Competitions:

The DJG are over and it seems Cestus did not that well, due to what ever reason. Zetar has surely more knowlegde about this event so I will leave it up to him to analyse it in his own report and won´t do any speculations here.

Due to rumors the long awaited GJW is starting next week. As Obelisk house with the highest member count, we have the duty to do extremely good if we don´t want to loose our reputation as highly active house. I always set my goals high and therefore we altogether should aim for nothing less than winning the GJW as best Obelisk house. I know we can do that and I already came up with some ideas how we will handle this task more about that in the future.

But until the GJW really starts there are many comps where you can hone your JK skills. I will display a list of available comps here:

Roster:

Our roster stands at 27 members. Cestus has seen quite a lot departures and arrivals over the last weeks. I will try to get all together:

On the one hand we had to say farewell to Kakos who left us to join Rogues. I hope we will be able to welcome him back in our ranks one day. On the other hand we gained quite an amount of new members. One of them is an old Cestus veteran, my predecesor as Quaestor and a good friend of mine - OBM Ziguarath! Good to have you back! :-) But we have also a lot really new members: A hearty welcome to Lorn Blahde,Bane, Darchtra,Death MD and Yukito. I hope you have good time in Cestus!

There have been some well deserved elevations since my last report:

I want to congratulate my Apprentice Lady Rage, Reb Crush and X-Pilot to their new gained ranks. Well done all of you! Furthermore something important happened to our member Sukuth. He earned himself the rank of Dark Jedi Knight and therefore left the ranks of Yeomanry and joined the Equites of the Dark Brotherhood. Good job Sukuth well done! He now is allowed to take Apprentices so everyone who still needs a Master go and ask him.

Awards:

I heard quite a lot of awards were given out for the DJG and several other competitions, but I don´t know the exact numbers so I leave it up again to Zetar who will have more detailed informations about recent awards.

There is only one award I know of and that is a DC for Ziguarath for his great work on the new BoF site. Although you have a different opinion Zig I think this award is well deserved :P
