House Aleema of Clan Satal Keto

Quaestor's Report #18

Page Meridian sounding off...

The Hideout

Two Dark Jedi walked slowly from a public transport to the old wooden with force field back to operational. The shorter, but higher ranking Jedi carried a large wooden sign and began to raise it up through the air. The taller Jedi began to, in a similar fashion, lower an older sign through the air that read in faded script: "Page's Pub". Like children playing musical chairs, the two signs interchanged to reveal the new, freshly inscribed script: "Kaiann and Page's Hideout". In smaller text under the title, the words "...an Aleema Cantina, Bar, and Pub" sat barely noticable, yet as heavy as mercury. The taller looked over his right shoulder and to the rear, where the other stood admiring the new welcoming sign and asked "Kaiann, how does it look from out there?" The Aedile stood, arms across his chest, and smiled. "I think that'll do Page. I think that's just fine." Shaking hands and differences obviously put behind them, the two House Summit members walked through the now deactivated force field and in to the Pub. "We have some work to do here Page" Kaiann commented. Page just smiled in an embarassed manner and shrugged it off. "Well, maybe the place could use some of your interior design motifs brother" Page stated with a gleem in his eye. Kaiann revealed a slight smile, obviously thinking hard about what he'd like to demolish, knock down, replace, or paint.

House News

My my; where to begin? Congratulations to our new AED, one of our brightest veterans: KE Kaiann! (Page simulates stadium cheers and whistles). With he and I co-operating this joint, we have both sides of the spectrum. There should be no one left unserved and there will not be. The GJW is coming like a thief in the night and our house looks a bit in shambles. I urge you all not to worry. We're still waiting on a few new recruits (or former Aleemans actually) to be processed by CoFo. A big welcome back to the dear KP Zillie! I had mistakenly placed her on the Rouge list a short time ago and I must publically apologize for that. It was a huge misunderstanding on mostly my part, and I am sorry. Welcome back M'Lady, we're all happy to see you again. It looks like we're losing our friend Maradis due to his real life schedule. We're sorry to see you go brother, and will welcome you back with open arms whenever you'd like to return. Tatsu is also transferring out for his own reasons, which likewise saddens me. Thank you for all the work you did for folks regarding their "digital selves". I've seen the one you were working on for Shups. One word: "Amazing!" It also seems that our newly acquired KAP Psyko was only here to apply for the QUA job, and has now requested transfer back to Obbie. Enough said there. Wow, a lot of folks leaving huh?

On the bright side, we'll be getting back an old friend in the next week hopefully. GRD Sayo is on the train home and ready to rock for the GJW. We also have a few BIG hopefuls coming in from various places. Without making a fool of myself, I'll wait until they're final to announce their welcome. I know that breaking up the Phyles was a very touchy subject for a lot of you, and I'm happy to say that it looks like it is not going to be necessary if we get the folks we're planning on.

Now, not exactly a "new" aquisition, but please welcome back ARANIA! She's back from the dead and that only means one thing: "Look out DB, she's back, she's pissed (wouldn't you be if you were dead for awhile? ), and she's ready to lead you all to victory once again! The beauty here is that there will no longer be gender mix-up with our dear DA :) For the House's information as well, JH Silent is now working on his thrid Dark Jedi Trial, and is doing extremely well. He is expected to be Knighted just before the GJW if he continues at this pace. Good work Silent! After an egroup mix-up, JH Garou is back on the Aleema egroup and receiving mails again. Maybe we'll have another Jedi Knight hopeful here now?

I'm really happy to see everyone getting fired up. A recent mail from our KHP credited me with this uprising, but I'd like to clarify something right now. While I appreciate Tron's kind words, it was not I that sparked some new life in you all. You did it yourselves, with a big boost from Kaiann. He's knows what's going on, he does his homework, and he's the one doing the advising for the GJW. Think of us as two QUA's. Think of yourselves as leadership models for each other. We're cutting through the tension with a propane torch right now, and we're gonna bump up to a damn PLASMA CUTTER this week. Why you say? Because we're Aleema and we don't take shit from nobody!

You feel a strange twang in the back of your head. Something is not right at your Clan's HQ. You leave your studies and investigate, only to find a horror beyond horrors stalking your fellow clanmates! You track it, trying to keep out of sight, but you fail. The horror has found you!

Use this and write an interesting, original short story. The more unique and interesting, the better!

Clan Competition Part 2

Phase 2 "Turn up the heat!"

*Krath:

Reaching the platform seemed like it hat taken forever, but you finally did it and you are still alive too!

As you reach to the suspended PCON to remove the low humming device on his chest, another flash of light blinds you as you wonder if this is going to become a habit.

As you regain your sight you see that you have been transported into a stone room and notice that two of your fellow clan members nearly appeared at the same time as you did. you are not sure , if they also tried to save the Proconsul and entered after you, or if they were just another illusion. on your guard you greet them and start exploring the room. You see four doors, each placed in the center of one of the walls. you open the doors and to your amazement you find that each opens up to a totally different landscape and place. One leads to a jungle, the second to an ice desert, the third to a forest that very much looks like the Desalmado forest and you can even see the shapes of the clan's stronghold in the distance and the forth opens to a long corridor.

you turn around to your companions and say....

Rules:

Run-on for three

open for Sith and Obelisk as well,

basically you grab 2 of your friends and start writing a story with them, you do it over mail between the three of you only in a run-on fashion.

with setting a limit to three it makes it easier to control and waits smaller . each of the three can chose to be on the rescue mission or an illusion, a sort of an enemy within to foil it. it is up to each of you, and no you don't have to say from start what you, it would only take the suspense away! :P

by the time the deadline is here you should have complete stories that you send over to Consul Drako and myself!

as for the finish of it: what ever way you chose in the end you find yourself in an arena sort of place .

House Competiton

Comp Title: "A Modest Proposal"

Participants: AoD vs SotN

Start: Immediately

Finish: 31 January 03

Description: Each Phyle of Aleema will co-author a 5 page piece of fiction with the topic: "Why [ insert name of opposite Phyle here ] is the best one in Aleema!"

Additional Info: Suggested by the title, this should be sarcastically written. Please try to refrain from "getting in cheap shots at individuals", but rather keep in all in good fun. The exact method this will be done is not set in stone, however use of the message board for a run-on is prohibited at the request of the PCON. The suggested method for this is private email to all of your Phyle. I suppose a private, moderated, IRC session could work as well, as could a few other scenes. The goal here is that noone outside your own Phyle should see the work in progress until the finished product. Please keep that in mind. The final paper is to be submitted by each TET by 11:59pm EST on the 31st of January. Please direct all questions to me and me only. Lets have some fun and some laughs!

Awards: Crescent w/ Emerald Star for all contributors on the winning team. The individuals who contributed are defined as those named at the end of the final draft by the TET and ONLY the TET.

In closing, I'd like to again thank you all for your new acceptance of me as QUA. I know a lot of folks thought of me as a "mini-Shups" who would run things they way he did. While Shups is like a brother to me in RL, I had problems with his way of running Aleema like everyone else. I have my own ideas which will, however, be quickly thrown out for the betterment of Aleema or the liking of everyone here. Hey, I just do the reports and talk us up to the Clan Summit. YOU are what makes us Aleema.

Thanks for lending an ear and a quill...
