    wish I had more to write in it but right now the acitivity ain't that 
    high. I really hope that it will change very soon.

      - **Krath High Priest Report**  

        Early report again, and a short one I might add. Been a lot of planning 
        in the background going on, not a huge amount in the front to show 
        just yet. Be patient, cool things are just around the corner.  



        1) I'd like to thank the Clan and House Summits that stepped up this 
        week, and the weeks before of course, and helped in handling situations 
        of dissatisfaction and the like under their jurisdiction. I've mentioned 
        it before and I'll say it again, while I am always here to help, it 
        is ALWAYS best for Clans to handle their own issues internally if 
        possible. Thank you for helping to preserve the experience for your 
        members.  



        2) MSC event 6 is up! Don't miss the deadline of January 24th.  





        3) KCC activity is way up! If you haven&#8217;t already, go and sign 
        up. If you are signed up, challenge a friend to a battle. Feel free 
        to email any of the KCC staff should you have an problems of questions 
        in this regard.

        4) Another nice amount of Leadership Studies passed this week. If 
        you haven&#8217;t already, take the test. It's easy and a requirement 
        if you hold a position of TET and above.  



        KCC News  



        1) As mentioned, activity has been way up. The wonderful KCC staff 
        is working hard to improve the system. There are new aspects of the 
        KCC coming up soon that will really cater to a broad range of participants. 
        Sign up and battle. Don't forget, it's not just for Krath!

Two updates Just a couple of quick things I think need addressing: 1) Failed exams. Every so often, somebody misreads directions, isn't sure what to do, or downright makes mistakes. When this happens, the member in question is asked - even encouraged - to submit a new set of answers. I've been receiving a few tests to date that were, in fact, duplicates of the previously-failed examination. This is not appropriate, as it simply wastes the time of everyone involved. Any further incidences of this may lead to some form of punishment, most likely the inability to retake that course for a set period of time. 2) Shadow Academy staff reoports. That's right, kids - I did say I would be wanting these. All of you lovely active Teachers and Instructors should see this within a short time after it's posted - after all, activity was a requirement - and should file a very basic, point-form report. All I want to know is that you're alive and on top of things, and anything else about your work to date that you feel merits my attention. Troutrooper was a wonderful (little?) fish and sent in a report already. ;)

MAA Temp Office

    I have completed a temp office without the layout and any graphics.

    I will have more updates later today or tomorrow. Please provide any

Further IWATS entries

    After slaving over hundreds of these entries already (test entries, 
    not people, don't panic :P), I've devised a nicer set of rules. Any 
    further submissions will have to follow these to the letter.   

    1) Submissions must include your DB PIN and proof. Proof may be in 
    the form of another official online record, or forwards of the mails 
    from the Professors.  

    2) If you choose to use the forwaring system, you must CC: the Professors 
    of the Courses. Any IWATS PROF who turns around and says, &quot;Hey! 
    I didn't pass that person!&quot; will put a slight damper on your 
    record.  

    3) It's preferable that you include the number of courses, or even 
    a list of the courses, that you have passed to date. This way, I can 
    go through and do the people who only have a course or two to enter 
    when I'm on the run. ;)  

    Anyone who can't be bothered to submit their DB PIN to me henceforth 
    (which has been a significant number of people) accepts that I can't 
    be bothered to enter them. It's another stupid little thing that adds 
    up on my time schedule.

    Hello, folks!  


    This is Priest al'Lan Mandragoran reporting. I hope you all had a great 
    week and are now busy doing some of the outstanding lot of competitions 
    we have available. :-)  


    &lt; HOUSE NEWS &gt;   


    - We got a &quot;new&quot; member! Everyone, welcome Dark Side Adept J'Lek 
    back into the House! He was assigned to Drynwyn's Flame. It's good to 
    have you around again, mate! :-)  


    - Mike has been elevated to the rank of Acolyte! Congratulations, man! 
    You deserved it!  


    - Krath Priestess Kedara has taken Max as her Student! I'm sure you two 
    will learn a lot from each other. ;-)  


    - Acturus named Kedara as his Dark Hand in Drynwyn's Flame! Best of luck 
    on the new job, Kedara!  


    - The rank requirement to join Drynwyn's Flame was lowered to Guardian. 
    All those members of Guardian rank and above need only complete two things 
    to join the elite Phyle: complete the Krath Core Studies and write a story 
    entitled &quot;Corruption&quot;. The story should be sent to DF's Tetrarch, 
    Arcturus (arcturusgx@hotmail.com), and I'm sure I don't need to tell you 
    should CC me on it. ;-)  


    &lt; COMPETITIONS &gt;   


    - The Great Jedi War draws near (or so they tell us) ;-)  


    - We got a small (but with good awards) competition running, called &quot;Preparations&quot;. 
    Members must write a short, funny story on how the summit and the House 
    are getting ready for the Great Jedi War. The best story will be awarded 
    a Crescent with Sapphire Star, and the second best a Crescent with Emerald 
    Star. It should be one page long at least, using Arial font, 12pts sized, 
    and the deadline for submitting it is January 20th. There is no maximum 
    limit of pages, but we're not looking for a novel here, just something 
    funny. :-) Members should submit it to Loor (loor@home.se) and me (rand_mandrag@hotmail.com). 



    - There's a fun run on open to the Clan at http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewtopic.php?t=3957, 
    join us in harassing Saitou and Snij!   


    - For those looking to improve their writing skills, kill some free time 
    and have some fun, I highly recommend the Krath Combat Center at http://www.minos.net/~krath/combat/page.php. 
    Go in there and challenge someone. Hell, you can challenge me for an easy 
    start, I'm not that great fighter. :-)  


    - The Headmaster has started a very interesting competition. Here are 
    the details:  


    This is a competition to design the Shadow Academy's actual building. 
    A solid design for the building will add to the roleplaying feel of the 
    Brotherhood, and this will also likely be made into a Jedi Outcast level. 



    There are two categories available here - graphical and fictional. Participants 
    may wo  

    rk in teams of two. Teams may only submit to one of the two categories.  



    Awards will be as follows:  

    Crescent with Diamond Star x 2   

    Crescent with Ruby Star x 2   

    Crescent with Amethyst Star x 2  


    1 set of the above will be for each section (graphical and fictional).  



    You have until January 31st to get your designs in.  


    I have listed below the things I expect to see in all designs. These are 
    fairly basic guidelines, but so we don't end up with something way off 
    target...  


    All entries should have:  

    - Classrooms (1 per Order minimum)  

    - Combat training area (for lightsaber instruction)  

    - Living quarters for guests, Apprentices in training, the HM, staff, 
    etc.  


    Recommended:  

    - Recreation area  

    - Physical training gymnasium  

    - Force training area  


    The building may be single or multi-level, above or below ground... anything 
    you feel works. I will be taking the best design to the DB JK2 mod team 
    after any alterations I feel are necessary to it - most likely for gameplay 
    issues.

    trying to keep out of sight, but you fail. The horror has found you!   



    Use this and write an interesting, original short story. The more unique 
    and interesting, the better!

Well, it's my second week. Things are coming along nicely. So far, we've got in J'Lek and Kedara. I think a few from Ebon Cloak may possibly be coming over to our side - Kedara's student, Max, being one of them - since the entrance rank is now at GRD. I'm urging all ECs to consider joining us. Whatever preconceptions you've had about Drynwyn's Flame are being eradicated. CONSIDER IT!

-Phyle News-

I've elected Kedara as my Dark Hand. She'll be on construction duties for the Phyle's site. Any comments or questions regarding the website, e-mail her. Anything else, send it my way. "Death & Progress" is up - I'd like to see some participation on this, just to warm up for the GJW. I'm not going to award medals for highest post, because you should want to post without them. So let's see some posts on it. Again, any questions regarding it - e-mail me.

      -House News-

Not too much, as I'm aware. I'm not aware of any new members or promotions, so all's quiet on the front. Lan and Loor have settled in nicely. Kedara, myself and Lan have a few meetings over the state of DF and where it's going. I think everybody's getting ready for the GJW, and I really want to stress this in Drynwyn's Flame, as well. That's the thick of it.

-Competitions-

GJW, GJW, GJW, Great Jedi War! This is my first time leading a Phyle into battle and I really want the other houses to see what we're made of! 'Death & Progress' is a great way, I feel, to get back into the swing of things. By the way, it's the Monthly Topic - so get posting! THAT'S AN ORDER! :-)

Another thing - I'm putting up a motto competiton. Anybody with any ideas for a new motto, e-mail me and you'll get something shiny. No-one mails, I make it myself.

    storm we, so that all our power are unleashed as the Great Jedi War starts.
