Greetings Gladius. I'm Krath Priest "Doc" Hades, Gladius' AED. I've been here a long time, just haven't really spoken. That will be changing starting.. now. <eg>
Every week, probably late Thursdays/Fridays, you will be getting a report from yours truely. I will be giving you all news from the EH and larger DB news Issues that doesnt really focus on Gladius or Tarentum in particular. I think you all should have a heads up on whats going on around you in the club your in. Like they say, Knowledge is Power. And they are right, so pay attention. Dont just skim through the news I provide here. Read it or ill lop your head off. :P Well, not really, but hey.. read it anyways.
Another thing I will be doing, is focusing on things we can improve within the house. Hopefully, soon I wont have anything to report. But I need your help with that. What I am going to be talking about this week are Activity/Participation. This is probably the biggest issue out there. One that we have had constant problems with n the past. Time to make that problem dissapear. >:)
Now, Some of you are new to Gladius, some have been around a few months. But, to those of you who have been here awhile like I have, you know how great Gladius, and Tarentum as a whole have preformed against other Houses and Clans. For all you newer members, to sum it all up... We kicked thier asses! This house and this Clan has some of the BEST potential I've ever seen. But the biggest problem we are facing is that we aren't providing proof of that. And the way we do that is participation in comps and general activity.
Comps -
This is something you all should know about by now. There are not as many comps going on as normal, but with the Great Jedi War coming up, that's fine. Comps can and are a source of pride for us. A Comp is what gives us a chance to crush other Krath Houses' egos into little piles of goo. Now, who wouldn't want to do that? Thats what I thought >:P Now, I will be doing my best to get a small comp or two rolling your way with the help of KAP Telona. I want to get everyone ready for this. Why you ask? Cause I want to kick some ass and crush some egos!!
Now, I want participation in the comps that will be coming your way and especially the Great Jedi War. I will not accept nothing but the best from all of you, because your all great writers.. Or you wouldn't be here. So be ready to participate more than ever! <eg>
General Activity-
This is easy. Basicly all this encompases is you checking in with your superiors. What I will like to see now, and will be expecting to see later is that everyone checking in with said superiors AT LEAST on a weekly basis. This means you dont just say hi and bye, you give them a little run down of what your doing and any thoughts you have. The only way we can make sure you guys have a House you guys love is letting us know what you want/like. And we cant do that unless you start talking :P So, everyone start emailing thier TET and reporting in once a week. The TET will then give out a report to myself and the QUA each week. :)

See how easy it is to be active? I mean its really hard NOT to be active :P I dont hear enough from you all, I want to start hearing more. I want to see what your up to and what you want to do here. We are a big team, so we have to communicate. Lets start doing it ;P
Now comes the News from the EH/DB. I dont have everything in here, but I usually pick the interesting news items and let you all see it. If there is something you want to start seeing in here, let me know!

Greetings brothers and sisters
First of ....I am DJK!!!! uhm okay :P uhm yeah ... drinks are on me :P Well then lets come to the report. This week was as silent as usual. Even though I got really TONS of mottos for the motto comp not that much happens. I guess most of you have exams coming as I have and have to study that's of course okay.
Activity
As mentioned above quite leveled. No changes. But I hope that will change when GJW are coming.
Competitions
Mystic Motto Comp finished
I really got many many mannnny mottos for this comp. It wasnt easy to choose the three winning mottos. For those who havent won anything I would like to mention again that the activity and the effort is important not the medal :) Dont be sad just try again :)

House Competition
I heard that no single story was written for this competition. I have to say I am a bit disappointed, I know I didnt participate either, but still it is alarming that no one else seemed to have interest in a comp for the whole house. I am sure our House summit is very disappointed and I want to appologize for my BT's and my own lack of activity.
Monthly topic, KCC and other DB wide comps
The KHP already said that many many entries came in for the KMT, but dont be afraid to send something in as well.
We have a Limmerick topic about Pain and the Story topic is about Invasion :)
KCC matches have slowed down a bit. But look at Jason he won against me :P so go and challenge him ;P or me. Dem, Siterath and Jade have character sheets as well.
If you want to challenge me please notice that I am in the preexam phase so I might be responding only slow. I have a battle running as well, against Timeros. It is like a debt. If I win he will join tarentum if I lose he still has a choice :PWish me luck.

Dark Voice
The editors of the DV mentioned that they only got 5 submissions for the DV so far. I urge you to make submissions. You did so many great pieces of work, why not sending them in and getting a Dark Scroll for each? :P
IWATS-course submission rules
Since there were so many submissions the HM made a set of rules for IWATS courses, read them and follow them otherwise you dont get the IWATS course added to your profile:
1) Submissions must include your DB PIN and proof. Proof may be in the form of another official online record, or forwards of the mails from the Professors.
2) If you choose to use the forwaring system, you must CC: the Professors of the Courses. Any IWATS PROF who turns around and says, "Hey! I didn't pass that person!" will put a slight damper on your record.
3) It's preferable that you include the number of courses, or even a list of the courses, that you have passed to date. This way, I can go through and do the people who only have a course or two to enter when I'm on the run. ;)

***Reconnaissance Office Convention Datatbase operational!

This week, the Reconnaissance Office finally opened its Convention Database to the general EH membership. The Database lists each *known* Convention that will being taking place in the next year within the U.S., UK, Australia, and Europe. The Conventions Database was designed for EHers to sign-up to the conventions listed that they plan to attend. This way, other members can log on and see who is attending what convention and when and if possible, meet the members attending.
This is the perfect oppertunity for EHers to come face to face with the same people who've they been talking to for a long time. It will hopefully boast growth within the EH membership. :)

OK, I guess I should just make Thursday night may night to report in. Friday's are just too busy. Lets do this...
1) New DB-wide competition is being announced right after this report. It's called "Kill the Krath High Priest". C'mon, you know you want to kill me. Now's your chance. ;)
2) KMT's are still going on! Get 'em in, time is coming quickly to a close.
3) MSC Event 6 is over tomorrow, the 24th! Get those submissions in as soon as you can. It's almost over, folks.
4) GJW is approaching. In response, many Krath Houses have been involving themselves with training in the form of competitions. Great job guys, your practice will pay off.
5) If you havent already, get to the Krath Combat Chamber and sign up. It's easy, fun and great writing practice. Of course ALL are welcomed to sign up and battle. Click on the link to the left!
6) If you have a vacant spot in your House Summit, get it filled as soon as you can! You need all your leadership together when the GJW comes around. If you need help looking for new Summit Members, let me know.
7) I should have been doing this already but better late than never I guess...I'm going to be forwarding my Weekly Report to Krath House Summits for their forwarding down the ranks. I will CC Clan Summits as well for their own information.

As you may know the Fringe has been running a MUD for some time now set in the STAR WARS universe as a main platform. Lately the MUD's had a bit of turmoil from innner struggles for power between the D-MUD and a lower Immortal. All the kinks were worked out and I got elected by the MUD to email you and ask you would post our new MUD address on the EH main News Page in an effort to get some of the playerbase back. Being that I'm the highest ranking Fringe member associated with the MUD they've asked me to make this request of you. The EH MUD would appreciate it greatly if you could find it in your heart to post this news item for us. Madon, the D-MUD will be posting on the Fringe page, but the EH main page generates more hits in a day than we get in a month. If you choose to post it, the details are as follows:

This represents el landmark-ish decision number whatever number we're on, for those that care... :P

***Concerning Competitions

All competitions, whether they are on the Battle Team level or the Order level, must be approved through the Deputy Grand Mistress' website http://dgm.minos.net. If your competition is not approved through the website, you cannot award medals for your competition. So if I do not see a competition ID within a competition award recommendation, the award will be denied. Competitions include something as small as weekly trivia, motto suggestions, and to things as large as Clan-wide feuds.
So don't forget to get your competition approved. It makes a lot less work for all of us.

Desirable Criteria
Rank of Warrior or Priest.
Daily IRC Presence.
24hr email response time.
Enthusiastic, interested and past demonstration of commitment to the Brotherhood. (Namely running of detailed, moderately sized House competitions).
Membership within Clan Naga Sadow, etiher in the past or present.
Meeting all the requirments is NOT essential, though clearly helps a great deal. For example, if you don't meet the rank requirement, don't worry, I'm very happy to give newer members a try, it may be just what Primus Goluud needs anyway. If you do meet the requirements, then I'll need this proven, so if you're a good leader, past examples would be most appreciated.
Theres no deadline on applications, though I intend to hopefully make a choice by the weekend.

JaM3z and I have worked on this thingie and we think it's quite nice.
We've made a "Medal Case" in the dossiers.
Some medals that you have will be displayed in it. Don't come to me like: "This medal isn't displayed".
NO! There are 8 medals displayed currently:
GC, SC, SoE, DC, DSS, LSS, CF and the Cresents.
Just take a look at it yourself...

1: Note to all personnel: You have a specific promotional authority associated with your position. If you do not have the authority to promote a member you must make your recommendation via the relevant Order Leader. Do it another way and it will be denied. Always assuming you've all taken the leadership test, you all ought to know to which rank you can promote without needing Dark Council intervention, so please stick to it.
If you can't remember, check the DSC, or else ask the Master at Arms or myself. Don't just recommend the promotion or I'm going to start coming around to your House or Clan and raising a small (or large) amount of hell depending on how long you've been a member of the club and how well I judge you ought to know the rules. Just so you all know, and there is absolutely no excuse:

2: No, I do not have a set date for the GJW. As I have explained many, many times to many various people, there have been small delays in getting all the material together and I am still waiting on some aspects of the Obelisk and Sith to be put together, although I should have the Sith stuff before the end of next week.
So... what does this mean? It means the GJW will most likely not start before February. My deepest apologies for the delay, unfortunately what I have planned is a little ambitious, and it's taking slightly longer to put together than I had thought it would.
As I stated previously, you will have week's notice prior to the start of the GJW, so that you will all be able to get your competitions finished up and your Clans in order.
3: I have several projects on the go at the moment, some of which are interlinked. I'm not going to go into them all here because I've mentioned them all in previous reports anyway. Suffice it to say that they're going well.
