I have been in talks with Grand Master Firefox and Deputy Grand Mistress Mairin about proper awarding for designing websites within the Dark Brotherhood. Discussions continue, and I expect the issue to be resolved by next week. The current suggestions are the creation of a medal specifically geared for websites, or to create guidelines using the current medals.

Gelton Torr and Kethoron Thek have begun work on re-doing the medal images. They have already created new Crescents, which can be found here. I have also uploaded them into the database, and the Crescent description will be altered accordingly. If the new Crescents are any indication of what is to come, then I believe the Brotherhood can expect truly spectacular work.

I have not forgotten about my new History of the Dark Brotherhood. I am e-mailing a couple people for some more information, and I will create a rough draft of the full document in the near future. I will then release the preliminary writing to the entire Brotherhood for commentary, and then edit it pending said commentary. After that, the final draft will be submitted to the Grand Master and the Dark Council for final approval.

And finally, this week's fun moment was me and Camile at a Frat Party at Rutgers University. We were both nicely buzzed, and I didn't even grope at him once. :P

You may already have this in hand, but if not, I'd like to recommend Betja for either a Grand Cross of the Dark Side, or a Sapphire Blade (I'm not sure which is more appropriate).

Betja took over running Ektrosis after a couple of less active QUAs had sent us into a bit of an activity lull. His enthusiasm and encouragement brought us out of it and we have (I believe, although I haven't checked) won every major competition we've entered since he took over. He also helped to write

and run an inter-clan feud (which we subsequently won of course :P) and host more run-ons and small competitions than I can remember. He's been an active IRC presence, has outlasted a couple of PCONs and CONs (always the mark of

a good QUA!), and is only leaving now because real life pressures no longer leave him the time required to hold the post well. It would be nice to thank him for all he's done for Ektrosis over the last year or more. KPN Alanna (Ektrosis of Taldryan)

I can also say that Betja before RL grabbed him from his duties as QUA was a lead by example. Meaning he set the example in what an active member having fun should be. He was always on time with his reports, spent a gross amount of time on

IRC chatting with his members and many more besides. He as Alanna stated lasted thru two or more CON's and PCON's. For his dedication and loyalty to the Clan His house and the DB at large i would like to Award him the Sapphire Blade. Thank you.

CHAN Comments: I know of Betja's hard work as well, for it was he who was my Quaestor in my short time in House Ektrosis. Betja always had a bright demeanor, trying his best, and learning well from whatever mistakes he made. I concur with this recommendation, and gladly award this medal for all of Betja's dedication and hard work. Congratulations!

Reason given for request:First, Ace designed an awesome webpage for Nightshade (http://nightshade.squadron.org/), all of the graphics and the layout are his original work, and he completed the site in a matter of weeks. He also just redid the site to add compatibility for people viewing with an 800x600 resolution, I just haven't had a chance to upload it yet. On top of all the work on the webpage, he has still been ommunicative through e-mail and IRC and he has flown over 300 missions this month. His dedication sets an example for other members of Nightshade, and the new webpage will definately help keep the team informed.
