REPORT FOR JANUARY 27TH

• After a short week as our QUA, Bubbles had to make the difficult decision between Real Life or Us. She made the right choice, Real Life always comes first. It is with sadness that we watch her leave, but it is with gladness we welcome Alanna as our new QUA.

• Rumors still say that the Great Jedi War won’t begin until early March.

• Still working on Master Student things. Will email what I have to all of you so, feedback is welcomed! Email or talk to me on IRC.

COMPETITIONS

• Graffitti the QUA is officially over. The results will be in as soon as Aragorn is able to decide who wins.

• Kill the KHP comp: In two to four pages describe WHY Tronsta deserves to die and how you decide to kill him. Keep it ‘realistic”, in other words keep in mind powers and abilities associated with rank and the fact that he outranks most of us except for Jac. Have a great, mysterious reason for wanting to kill him, not just cuz he didn’t pick your lymerick. He is EVIL…but…WHAT MAKES HIM EVIL???? (make sure you CC me on your entries so I can track activity)

• Wednesday is the deadline date for Phoenix’s first weekly competition. This week I asked that you write a short story or poem about a particular photograph. I would like you to think about a way of writing a very interesting and humorous description of the photograph, detailing why it is important to our Clan, House and Phyle. The winner gets a Crescent with Emerald Star, and if I get enough entries the second place winner gets the Crescent with Topaz Star. Email your entries to ME!

*January Monthly Topics DUE THIS FRIDAY!!!! : Write a limerick on the topic “Hymn to Pain” (1-3 pages long, Arial size 12 font) describing a painful experience your DB character has gone through (you can adapt a real life occurrence). You can also (or instead) write a short story on the topic of “Invasion” (2-10 pages, Arial size 12 font). You feel a strange twang in the back of your head. Something is not right at your Clan's HQ. You leave your studies and investigate, only to find a horror beyond horrors stalking your fellow clanmates! You track it, trying to keep out of sight, but you fail. The horror has found you! SEND ENTRIES TO TRONSTA, and make sure to CC me and Alanna.
