What can I say? Losing to Delphain was a complete and utter

embarrassment. I worked harder than I'd ever worked before on that TIE

battle to squeak out a 90+ score. Rein did the same. No one in any other

squad even came close to 90. Sloth worked all weekend to the best of his

ability and got a good score as well.

For nothing.

Little did we know nobody else would be there to back us up.

Beyond the flying, I personally put a lot of effort into reminding and

talking to you guys about it as well. Some of you said you were doing

it. Mell was doing all 3! Draco told me he was already done. Notice that

Draco is no longer with us.

I understand that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. But most of

you didn't even show up. We lost by 4 -- exactly the number of you who

didn't even run through a battle on easy for a quick point.

So there went most of my excitement. Congratulations on killing it. That

was quite an accomplishment. Haven't really flown at all this week. Been

coding my battle here and there and testing it. I don't really see much

changing next week either. I'll try to get my 90%+ and rein already got

his. Sloth is already working on it. But you can be sure I won't be

betting the farm or wasting much time on the rest of you.

Wargame still in the works

Verr came up with an EXCELLENT capship system for our wargame. I'll be

adding my movement/attack rules to it, and it looks like we're going to

have a wargame.

GJW starts

It started a couple hours ago, and I don't know much about it yet. Looks

like the first event is some kind of runon -- the kind that Krathys get all

uptight and whiny about, not the funny kind. Bleh. If Pyralis writes

about it in his report, listen up, but I have nothing to say about it right

now.

MP Competition should be over

Drako/Darko the two headed monster extended this once already to the day

the GJW starts, and today was that day. With the exception (again) of

Rein, nobody seemed to want to fly this unless I dragged them through

it. Thank God it's over, my arms are tired.

PRIORITY 2: BACK TO RECRUITING

Letting Draco go meant letting all his pending recruits go as well. It was

a tough decision, and I am sure that at least one of his prospects was an

excellent pilot. What's done is done, though, and I'm sure DDD appreciates

the 3 or 4 new guys they're going to be getting. I'm expecting a fruit

basket or sausage/cheese/crackers gift-pack from Darkhawk any day now.
