Herald Report: The Great Jedi War is upon us - and the HRLD office is one of the few that doesn't totally shut down during it! 1 - GoA Requests are still being accepted. 2 - Speaking of which... New: 2061 Blade Updated: 326 Vally Tamalar 2719 Big Daddy 169 J`Rai 3 - Custom Lightsaber Requests are accepted as well, but READ the GUIDE. That's it for this week.

Chancellor Report for 2/7/03...!

This week was extremely eventful... i have updated the medal guide to include the new website guidelines and a few other itmes... this should be uploaded soon, pending Knight Camile's chan site update....

a note on awarding medals... you CANNOT award a medal strictly for participation in a competition ! participation in a competition can be PART of a medal recommendation, but not the sole reason... if a person wins a medal for a competition, it's because he came in first, it's that simple.... also, if you are missing medals, and want them restored, you must provide PROOF that you were awarded the medal, no exceptions...

Expect some medal revisions in the future... good things are brewing in the CHAN office... thats all for this week...

Grand Master Report:

1) Here it is folks! The eagerly awaited Great Jedi War is finally upon us. Make me proud and slaughter your opponents and make them regret they ever faced you!

Keep in mind that like all the other large scale competitions that happened recently, the rewards for this will be commensurate with the participation of the Clans. The more you fight, the better the goodies!

As a side note, it's quite possible that I show up in some of these competitions just for fun. I might play a game or two of JK2 or something like that. I haven't decided yet and it will depend quite a bit on my availability, but I think it could be interesting. :)

2) There were some concerns this week about Shadow being both in Taldryan and having worked directly on the GJW. I can assure you that I trust him fully and know that he would never abuse this trust.

In any case, he can participate in any event, but he cannot win anything. This has long been a standard rule of mine and it applies here as well. If someone participates in the creation of an event, they can participate in it, but not win it.

The whole DC-Taldryan thing will be solved once this GJW is over anyway.

3) I suggest you take a good long look at the Tau website http://www.knology.net/~reinthaler/

I believe it certainly fits the personality of the squadron! Scary when you think that they main preoccupation should be to keep me alive! :P

4) I'd like to remind everyone to submit to the EH newsletter (and our own for that matter). I will not be happy until I see the DB overwhelming them with our (high quality) submissions! I know DB members have the talent, now let's go and show those slackers in the other subgroups what we're made of. :)

5) Once the GJW is fully underway, I'll start working on the next DB-wide competition. Assuming I get things done the way I want to, it should be very interesting. I don't intend to start it any time before July at the earliest. I want to give the Clans plenty of time to run their own competitions. You can bug me for details about it if you think you're have the endurance for it. I can be very stubborn. :P

Thanks to you all for waiting while the investigations were being carried out. Now we are assurred of fair play. And without further hesitation, the scores:

Clan Scholae Palatinae: 135.5

Clan Taldryan: 131.5

Clan Tarentum: 53.5

I have not yet gotten word from the GM or DGM as to what possessions the clans will receive as rewards. When I do get the information, I will make sure the other Clans here about it. Heck, I'll post it on the DB news for all to see. So congrats to all participants, awards are being sorted out tonight if they havent already gotten to you.

iIt's almost midnight so I'm ALMOST on time. :P Anyways, you know the drill. Summery, then fluff. Here we go...

1) GJW is up! Get to work!

2) Kill the KHP is done at midnight Friday. You got all day to submit.

3) Medal rec's. Keep your eye out and make sure people are getting their rewards!

4) No KMT this month.

KCC News

1) Nothing new.

1) We all know the GJW is up. And much work has already been done. I know its been a little awkward, but bare with it. And the run-on is not just for Krath! Lots of Sith and Obelisk are participating. Great job, and good luck to everyone!

2) Kill the KHP will be done midnight, February 7th. So you got until then to submit.

3) I mentioned it last week and I'd like to remind everyone...keep up to date with who needs to be rewarded. Keep the talent happy!

4) Due to the January KMT's and Kill the KHP comps to be graded as well as the GJW, the KMT's will be suspended until further notice. I'm not sure if I will create KMT's for March, I guess I'll play it by ear and see.

5) Bare with me as I grade the KMT's and Kill the KHP comp. I lost my Praetor and a Magistrate this week. Results coming soon! :)

1) Nothing new. Again, great work to the judging staff!

Dark Voice #33:

Greeting Dark Brothers and Sister,

I welcome you now to explore the 33rd Edition of the Dark Voice. This edition is very long with 22 graphics, 12 poems, 11 screenshots, 22 stories, and 15 staff submissions. For a Grand Total of 82 submissions! Of course all this submissions cover the time period from Nov. 25 to Jan. 25 covering two months this time but I am still very happy to get such a large number of submissions.

However, like every Dark Jedi out there I am greedy and I want more, more, more! So spread the Hatred and tell are your fellow Dark Jedi how to submit to the Dark Voice. Just make sure they read the guidelines section before submitting. Many of you are still forgetting PIN numbers. Which I have decided I will look up but more then likely you would never get a Dark Cross.

CALLING ALL DARK JEDI

Slowly but surely I would like to add more and more sections to the Dark Voice with staff. So if you have an idea for a section and can make a contribution at least once a month then send me a e-mail. Staff do not get awarded the DSS but however, long they stay with us they get a higher reward. I am working on a chart right now to submit to the Grand Master. Hopefully after 2 to 3 years of faithful service to the Dark Voice we can get you a Golden Lightsaber with the min. being 5 to 6 months for a Steel Cross. Here is a list of the sections I want to add;

COMICS – (I love comics and I am not talking stick men I need someone really creative)

INTERVIEW – (Must have some type of Chat system and be able to talk with higher ups)

GENERAL STORIES – (On large Comps. in different Clans)

REVIEWER – (Reviews Clans, Houses, about their level of fun, comps, ect)

That is all the positions I really want to see right now. But like I said if you have an idea shoot me an e-mail and we can talk about it.

GWJ Run-on change:

Due to a large number of... way off topic posts, issues with the content of posts, etc, I've closed the DB-Wide run-on. Instead, the run-on will now take place as a CLAN event, so your Consul/Proconsul should be restarting a run-on for your Clan on your Clan message board fairly shortly.

You will have two weeks to complete the run-on from this time onwards.

The decision has been made and will not be reversed, no matter how hard you complain or anything else!

No KMT for February:

Due to the GJW, there will be no Krath Monthly topics for February. All Krath, concentrate on your GJW events, right now being the runon.

-Phyle News-

I am going to be as blunt and brutal as I possibly can be. Unless I see some form of activity from J'Lek Arcanos and/or Chaos Angel, both will be expelled from Drynwyn's Flame PERMANENTLY while it is under my command. I am expecting at least 3 posts on the GJW topic from both of you, also with Kedara. You'll find on the EH Boards, under CSP. Failure to do so will result in said consequences.

It's not a lot to ask - if you're in DF, then you're in to fight. Otherwise - hit the road; there's no place for you here.

-House News-

As I mentioned earlier, the GJW has started. GET OUT & POST. Acclivis Draco's having a rough time, and maybe this could turn things around for us. Results from 'Preparations' came in - yours truly won, 'cos nobody else seemed to care. Your loss, people. ;-p

-Competitions-

I'm considering postponing Monthy Topics until this run-on is finished. Let me repeat what I said: unless you post on the GJW Topic, you can consider yourself ex-Drynwyn's Flame. Even if I have to command a two-person Phyle, I'll do it - I will not suffer fools gladly, gentlemen. Be warned.
