Dark Greetings Tarentum,
Another week of the Great Jedi War. . .Tarentum didn't get off to a very good start start in the Wargame due to a lot of confusion from all sides but things are starting to even themselves out. Remember to keep watch on the DJB.org news daily for information and Domi and I as well as your house summits will try and do our utmost to bring you as much as information as soon as we can.
In specific about the wargame. . .refer to the DJB.org site as far as ours and others Clans movements and combats so far and remember that Tarentum is currently directly/indirectly allied with Alvaak, CSK, and CSP. . .so when either of those Clans enter into a combat turn, we may assist them in MP without risk of our own territory. And of course in turn when we enter into a combat turn they will be the ones assisting us. Funfun. Remember in the wargame only the events are open to all orders, so Sith can do trivia, Krath can do MP, etc. But don't forget the other parts of Phase 2 of the GJW, outside the wargame, which are*not* open. Also, I'd like to thank everyone so far who has contributed greatly to Tarentum's understanding and planning of different aspects of the wargame, everyone's advice was needed and still needed and all of it has proven very helpful, keep up the good work. =)
As I've mentioned before, there will be a larger internal clan competition after the Great Jedi War, and I would like all of your opinions and suggestions as to what should be included in that, but so far I've had very few aside from including a debate portion of the competition, which is being planned. But I still need more input.
Also, as far as the Newsletter goes, as Ziguarath had to depart our ranks for a time due to his real life obligations, I'll probably be trying to manage that at least for a time. I don't want to begin too much while the Great Jedi War is in still in the works, as it may prove too much stress on the staff writers and such, I would like it if you were assigned to a staff position on the newsletter if you would contact me within the next week with some ideas you have for your section, as well as any questions you may have and we'll try and work out the smaller details before we begin the real work. =)

This is report #18 dating 09.03.2003 coming from Austin, Texas and due to my schedules here one day late. Sorry for that.
First of all I would like to let you know that I'm currently experienced serious mailtroubles so I lack quite a lot of informations about what happened in the past days. Therefore I have no other choice than to base my report on that what I know.
Activity:
Judging after the the message flow in the cestus mail group it seems that activity is quite down a bit, but perhpas you just don't discuss your MP matches over the mailgroup. But what I noticed is that neither the AED nor the RM did anz reports so far I could use here. Only because I'm vanishing to a degree it doesn't mean zou have to copy me :P
Competitions:
The wargame is still going on. I tried to figure out from the news board on DJB.org how Tarentum is doing but I had no luck. If someone could give me a summary of everything that was said in the past days about tactics and strategies ad especially what we actually did as moves I would apreciate it because then I could try to add my part to it as well.
Roster:
Ziguarath had to leave us to Rogues due to his deployment to the gulf region as british soldier. Let's hope he will return savely home to us and his family.
The roster is now at 25 members as far as I now
Promotion:
DJK Glorfindel was appointed as the new SGT of Armoured Fist because we had to relief Ziguarath from his post due to his long absence. Congrats Glor already your second SGT position :)
Elevations:
At the beginning of this week I was able to elevate Zekk to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. With that he has finally entered the ranks of knighthood. Congrats Zekk :) . I know for how long you waited for that.
Awards:
Only thing I know here is that I was awarded a Grand Cross of the Dark Side for my work as QUA of Cestus. Thank you to all of you who helped recommending it for me especially my APP Lady Rage who had the idea for it. I'm really happy about that medal. :)
That concludes m report. I apologizes for the incompleteness fof my information and I hope I can provide you a better report next time. As for all typos in the report I'm still wrestling with the U.S. keyboard so have patience with me it only can get better :P

Promotions/Medals
Nothing here but I've heard that I might be able to give out medals for GJW participation :) Just have to wait and see what's going on with that decision.
Competitions
I might as well rename this section to GJW Info because that's all it's going to be about!
Phase two is out if you've not heard :P Just a poem and story for the Krath plus the open events and a war game! If you've not checked that out yet, shame on you.

I'm sure someone has already sent in their answers and gotten the bonus points already :P Not really fair to us who can not be online checking stuff 24/7.
There are also single player missions you can play if you so desire. I think it is open to all clans and not just those engaged in their fighting.

Clan/House News
Well there has been a lot of talk about joining forces with other Clans for the war game. That's pretty much all the chatter going around.
If you've just crawled out from under that vurtual rock, we have a new PCON. Everyone say hi to Battlelord Jondaar Domi! He came highly recommended for the job and will not let our hopes down.
In other news, Gladius and Tarentum have both gotten message boards on the big EH board. The link to both are, as always, under my signature.
With a new board, I'd like to start thinking of setting up a new website. Now no need to start thinking about this yet. Keep it in mind though :)

Bepples
2001 Personal Account
(2001) I have a strange ex-boyfriend (doesn't everyone) who was the mad-inventor type. He was always devising clever schemes. He would come out of the bathroom with a revolutionary idea for a toilet paper holder. One afternoon we were driving in the country when we noticed strange round balls hanging from the trees. We stopped to pick a bunch. They were amazingly light, and when you cut them open, they looked a bit like Styrofoam.
Wow! A cheap natural packing material! No petroleum reserves depleted! We named them "bepples" and I put our collection on my mantle. Eventually my ex-boyfriend moved out into his own place. As a playful house-warming surprise, I put a few bepples in his medicine chest.
One day I came home from work and noticed a large swarm of sickly wasp-like creatures flying around my apartment. It only took me a short time to realize that the bepples were really dormant wasp nests!
I quickly alerted my ex, and threw out the bepples before any harm could come to me or my cat.

*MD sits on the comand bridge of the VSD Corsair with PCON Domi and other strategists for Team Tarentum trying to figure out what is going on in the war game. MD finally decides to leave it to some one else and to go work out other parts of the GJW for the moment. He walks by the sims and sees a few pilots come out in a fairly upset mood.
"What is it?" MD asked the first pilot out.
"We just flew a mission against no one!" The pilot said as he stormed down to the cantina.*
Ok guys, I know the War Game has been... complicated but I think the rules are fairly cleared up now. Updates were just sent out by Ciara so check them out. If you can help on the tactical side, contact AED Hades of Gladius or PCON Domi, or go to IRC channel #warcoincil pass word=Davion. If you can fly MP, go help out our allies that are in need or get ready for posible ingagements soon. Also please go to the News page for the trivia questions. Answer as many questions as you can!! We need all teh points we can get to bring our clan standing to the top three and our house to stay at #1.
Next item up is the Battle Plans. You don't have to be a tactical genius or a decendant of Thrawn to do this guys! Every submission gets us points ad if you place, all the better! Just see the forces ad move them around the way you think best. Think liek a pilot, if you want a squadron of fighters to draw the enemie into a wave of capship fire then put that in, just make a simple strategy!
Try and get screen shots from the game that are good. This takes just a few minutes ad can be easily set up. I know this isn't the stuff most pilots practice but we need the points!
If you are any good at writing, try the spy story. Describe teh bad guy. If you want ideas, go to our MB and read the last bit of our run-on or make up your own stuff.
I can't stress participation enough guys! I'm working on submisions in several events so you guys should make an effort at least.
IMPORTANT: Guys if you think any one else or yourself has been overlooked for a promotion, tell me, Pel and your CMDR! Usually we recognise people that deserve promotions but we aren't perfect, we miss stuff. So please tell us and we will look into it and reward people for hard work. So please, if you think some one deserves a promotion, recomend them to us!
We are curently #1 Sith house in the DB and I would like to keep it that way. Please do your best and keep in mind that participation in this comp will stand out and probably help you get your next promotion.
If you have any ideas to make the house better, concerns, problems or questions please tell me so we can make the house a better place fro all of you and a house people will want to join.
